[Completed] [virus] (air push) android 6 on ulefone power - XDA Assist

Hi,
I dunno where I should post this:
I have sort of an air push virus, its like an overlay picture above everything else, some hardware buttons get disabled and if I click somewhere on the screen, it opens my browser (dolphin browser) and opens a url directly opening the play store, most of the time in the app RAM CLEANER (the yellow thing) but sometimes also some other app (like VLC video play) and some other one I cant remember.
I litterally tried all known antiviruses (I never used these, imo they are useless) and only ESET found something interresting : Search Service [AdDisplay.Ewind.AE variant]
When I trie to delete search service it says I cant because its a system application. I think this is a false positive, right? If not, I have root, how to I do it manually?
with best regards and thanks for reading

Ok i think i got it. Seems like my Dolphin browser got hijacked. Reinstalling it has fixed it so far! I'm actually shocked that this sort of hijacking is even possible in Android without me installing anything.

Fail Log application for android allows you to browse daily updated FAIL photos, pictures on your phone and share them.
nice.
but maybe it would be good if you could tilt the screen for some images?
and what about the black dead area in the bottom? reserved for ads or what?

.apk?
Hey guys, any chance you can upload the latest version of the .apk here? I'm experiencing the "Starting Download" issue so I'm stuck to download and installing .apk's for the mean time.
P.S. If anyone knows how to fix the "Starting Download" issue without me having to reset my phone (Galaxy S) - PLEASE HELP. T_T
what worked for me was to delete the directory:
data/data/com.android.vending
acts just like a new market installation.
Installed this and for beeing an early app it's working fine.
But it would be nice if it could start preloading the next item in the list so I don't have to when a few seconds for the next item to load when hitting the left and right arrow.
Keep the updates comming, I've been wanting an app like this for a long time.
Like it a lot. Works pretty quickly on my Galaxy S. Much better than looking at the site through the browser. Just a couple suggestions, but a "view comments" option might be nice, as well as a setting to select which sites to pull from as this looks like it gets more than just failblog, but some of the other cheezeburger sites as well.
Can somebody put that program's ".apk" file here , please ? I can't using "Android Market" because of geographic problems. Thank you. =)
Tried it. very slow on a good 3G connection, some of the things I did see are not very new.
Uninstalled

I tried to look for the directory but couldn't find it. Is there something else I should do for this to appear? I'm using Astro to browse, I don't think the folder is hidden though.
can't find it in the market not via barcode nor via search
btw: do you have permission to use the failblog content?
cant find it in the market
barcode not working, can't find in market either... ???

[Q] Chrome Search Hijacked...fix?

I'm running chromi-x. My chrome browser's address bar search feature is somewhat hijacked...
<search term> goes to google/yahoo/bing (as set in settings) but it searches for: http://www.search-goal.com/?q=<search term>&affID=<somenumber>&babsrc=amob_ait
Has anyone seen an android browser hijack? Any idea how to fix? AVG A/V hasn't had any luck....
EDIT/PS: This is not happening in the default android browser.
Oops. Didn't read properly. Sorry. Forgot you said it searches the correct engine.
Edit: after a few Google searches, I can't find anything about search-goal.com, and the site has no information about itself either. My best guess is an app you installed is doing it. Uninstall anything you may have installed in the last week or so, and see if the problem goes away.
My suggestion would be to uninstall reinstall if that doesn't work, reflash the rom. I just went to search-goal.com on my pc and it looks dangerious. Im wasn't aware the homepage could be changed without user input, if you've installed any root access apps (essentially any apk files) id uninstall them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried uninstalling chrome. Got it uninstalled but had a heck of a time re-installing. It would NOT wipe /data/data/com.android.chrome. I finally removed that with TWRP. After reinstalling chrome it's still doing it. I've done an "install over" rom install (install, no data wipe) and it's still doing it. As much as I've tried to avoid it I think I'm going to have to wipe/reload/reinstall apps one by one. My last shot is I'm trying to find where the search engines are set up if it's a file somewhere to see if I can edit it.
Definitely malicious given the one time I tried to open it on a PC that I knew I could clean if I needed to it came up looking like a google clone.
Thankfully it's not actually loading that site so it's not doing anything but being annoying when I try to search.
same in my case -> solution
I had the same issue at my tf101 (at Team EOS rom) - and I was able to find the reason: in my case A.I. type keyboard app and the so called customized web search capabilities. When you remove this "feature" chrome search is back to normal.
Happy camper!

Many thanks be to timbetu! I shut off all my extra keyboards I was trying out. (FloatNSplit, GO, Hacker's, & Perfect Keyboard Free). That left the Android, ASUS, and Google voice typing turned on. Sure enough it went away! I was actively using FloatNSplit at the time. Will do some experimenting to find out if it was that one or another.
You have saved me from having to resetup my tablet!
:highfive:
EDIT: Also, dude, that's pretty awesome that your 1st post to XDA gets a thanks! Welcome to the forums!

I'm using floatnspin keyboard and that seems to be my issue. There is a setting for web searches and once I turned that off my browser worked normally again. I guess thats a new "feature".
Had the same problem, uninstalling the app fixed it. Please flag this app in Google play so Google can know about this! If you ask me, changing the default search engine without notifying the user is pretty nasty and malicious.
FloatNSplit and A.I. keyboard seems to be the same app.

I recognized this problem at my tablet and searched for an solution. During my search I found this topic here - but unfortunately without help. So I tried everything at my Asus and as I discovered the guilty app I just shared this finding with other affected users (because I knew of this thread).

Had same problem. This worked for me:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/7YefrdRfJx8[1-25-true]
Open up Google Chrome and in the address bar type - chrome://plugins/
You will then see a Details link over to the right-hand side of the page. Click the + and you’ll see a long list of the installed plugins in detail.
Look in the Flash section and find the line which has the text - \pepflashplayer.dll
Click the Disable link next to this line and restart the browser.

Just read up on what you told me to do, and did it. Thanks for the advice. I will see if it works for this site.
i've had that disabled for a while and i still get random crashes. not sure what to do
Happened to me again to. I added adfree or adblock for chrome and that finally did the trick for me.

Browser crashing is usually a result of bad script on a website or some kind of incompatibility.
I use Firefox more than Chrome and get less issues. However, I do have adblock plus addon, which obviously blocks ads, at the same time, causes less objects to load thus less problems, maybe ads could be causing your issues.
Try a different browser, works for me. Play offers many browsers to choose from.

I had a friend with a similar issue - I turned him on to HideNinja VPN and it helped him. It's the only thing I can think of that may help. I'd suggest closing all tabs for all browsers. Delete the browsers you can that you don't prefer to use. Restart the device, install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cryptninja.vpn make sure the app is configured and running properly, then try running your browser. Make sure no alternate settings in your browser could be created jumbling or smashing. Give the "Desktop Version" of the site a try too.

Ok, about chrome i found out that cyanogenmod's browser is ten times faster!!! And for the ADS i wasn't aware that those were intrusive ADS(i thought that the option block popup was broken XD ), so i want to recommend all of you to do this http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/blocking-ads-in-android/ scroll down a bit and you'll find a tutorial to create an host file, normal ads aren't blocked but the intrusives one i noticed that this little file blocks them very well

Q - Browser - opening links on Marshmallow

Hello
I updated yesterday my GS6 on Marshmallow and i have a question for all those who are using MM on their devices( no matter if Samsung or not), i noticed that when i open a link in an app(no matter what app) the prompt doesn't have 'JUST ONCE' or 'ALWAYS'(like on Lollipop), it makes as the default browser the first one i choose. On Lollipop i chose 'JUST ONCE' all the time and it was useful because when i wanted to open a link for ex. in Facebook, i opened with Flynx, links in Feedly with Chrome etc., now, if i open a link with Flynx(or Chrome,Firefox etc.) it opens all future links with the same app, without prompting me like in Lollipop. If i want to open the same link with another browser i have to clear the defaults of the first app i have chosen.
I've set the browser to none in the defaults apps, with the hope that it will prompt me like on LP, but it propmts me like in the second screenshot i attached, after selecting a browser, it's like having a single browser LOL, is this Google's implementation or Samsung's? i've found an article on android police that describes exactly the issue i have
http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/1...ow-and-its-why-your-defaults-are-misbehaving/
but it was for MM Beta and i thought this issue was resolved. Is this behaviour present on any of your devices that runs MM?
Here are the differences between Lollipop(first) and MM(second) the third screenshot is with all browsers defaults cleared, but if i open a link with any browser, it auto-defaults as the default browser( in this case,Fynx, 4-th screenshot)
I have the same problem, and i still havent found solution.

it's not a problem, it's a "feature" of Marshmallow as i later found out, a very unwelcomed change
