mounting Mi Max on bicycle - Xiaomi Mi Max Accessories

I'm looking for a waterproof bicycle phone bag which can be mounted on handlebar/stem (not on frame, that's too close to my knees and too low for comfort) that will be able to fit Xiaomi Mi Max. I tried that one, but it's just a bit too small. I really like the design though - it's secure, solid and as a bonus you can put something in the bag. Does anybody know about something like that Roswheel bag, but bigger?

[Q] Handson Mazda 6 handsfree/holder ?

I am getting my new car - a 2004 Mazda 6 with a bluetooth parrot installed so that part should be taken care of...
However when i need to use the satnav on the phone i need a holder that FITS the MAzda 6 dash..
I have had a look at the Brodit holders - either they block the info screen of the Mazda or they cover the air vents - both of which is a great big 'no' from my point of view.
Has anyone inhere got a Mazda 6 and have a cradle they would recommend that doesent look like cheap crap or something out of a horror movie ?
It it ok that it is a universal holder as the missus got a Wildfire - so if it could hold that as well - that would give me wife points so a passive holder is probably what i am looking for.
So - anyonme with actual experience with anything that looks good ?
I use a Clingo Universal Car Phone Mount in my Lexus IS250. It doesn't look too bad. It holds the wife's DHD in a silicone case. It says it won't work on silicone based cases but it does. And I use mine without a case and it works perfect.
Also should the "pad" lose it's stickiness just run under hot water and rub with your finger, dry it and it's as good as new.
This is definately one to consider!
I was looking for something more permanent though that could be installed somewhere on the dash. If that is not possible - then this is the one i will get...
Thank you for your reply
I was looking for exactly the same, this was purely an interim purchase. But It works very well and isn't limited to a particular handset model, so for me it's a keeper.
it's really nice thing
Ok it's ordered from ebay...lets see if it's as good as the video claims (never seems to be the case but lets try it anyways)
I think I got mine for about £16 off ebay.
I had similar issues with Brodit's ProClips in that the one they sold for my 2005 MG ZS didn't actually fit anywhere like what their installation diagrams suggested.
I found DashMount, however, who manufacture similar style mounts, but out of more solid metal sheeting and often in totally different locations to Brodit's mounting.
Have a look at this:
http://www.dashmount.co.uk/index.ph...applicable-with-dealer-fitted-CD-upgrade.html
Alright - so i recieved the Clingo universal hands-free mount - and what a load of ####!
It simply cannot hold the DHD if i have the cig plug charger plugged in it - it falls out of the holder within 2 minutes.
So that was 15£ wasted
Seriously?
Does it fall off the green pad? I've yet to have it fall off the pad. Sometimes it sticks that firmly I struggle getting it off. And is that with your case on?
It could be that the wife's case isn't silicone.
i dont have a silicone case on - it's just the bare phone and nothing more.
I have not yet tried with the wifes wildfire
3 seperate times the phone fell off the holder - and all 3 times it was when i had the charger plugged in. If i leave the charger out i think it can hold it - but then i dont have any more power left on the phone if/when i drive listening to music and using satnav etc
So i think im looking again for a holder that has some gripping arms of some sort - maybe an active holder - i dunno yet...
This clingo holder is not in the glove box - and it stays there...
Hello there,
I bought / use this holder. It perfectly fits the phone, sadly without any type of case. It can be rotated 360 degrees. It can also be found without the gooseneck holder, or with a fixed arm. It has holes for the camera, flash and speaker. The suctioncup is amazing, it is sticking on the windshield for almost a month now. The only anoying thing about the gooseneck is that it bounces around alot because of the weight of the phone. Probably the fixed arm is better but I had no choise.
Good Luck,
Ivan.
I have found an inexpensive and very reliable one that I have been using with my Nokia 6120 classic to my HTC Desire HD 40mm to 110mm adjustment.

Now the one I have is exactly the same but I got it from Media Markt in Germany and it has been with me no less than 10 times across the pond. Thus far its been perfect BUT it is not wide enough for landscape mode unless I rotate the whole thing.

Which car mount will fit to armor king case?

go for iOttie they have good product especially universal car mount
Personally, with a case like that I'd be looking at a magnetic mount. I'm currently using the Bracketron Si Earth Elements mount and I absolutely love it. I've got the S-View cover on mine so I had to put a metal plate under the battery cover to get the magnet to hold, but that case may work just on it's own. Just my .02, but I'd definitely at least give a magnetic mount a try.
With that case, I'd be more worried about whether I'd get a signal.

I used the Rokform case on all my iphones, ipads etc. I notice they make a case, with magnet for the S5 but none for the Note .. BUT .. they do make an adapter that sticks to the back of your phone case that includes a powerful magnet. I bought one to use with a Lumia and I am going to see if they are still available so I can use it with my Note. (arriving monday.) Here is the adapter.

That looks really interesting. The only problem for me is that I use the S-View cover and I really like it, so having the attachment hardware protrude from the back of the phone doesn't work in my case. What I like about the Bracketron I use is that the magnet in it is strong enough to hold through the S-View cover when it's flipped around to the back. I just had to put some metal under the battery cover to give the magnet something to grip, the shape of the plates that were included didn't fit very well so I ended up just using a couple pieces of scrap steel I found at work. This way there isn't anything stuck to the outside of the phone so it looks completely normal, there's no bulge on the back and no pieces stuck on with tape or anything, and when I drop it in the mount I can leave the S-View cover flipped around to the back so it's not hanging down getting in the way or anything. The magnet holds very well through the S-View flap and the battery cover, and there's feet that flip out from the mount for the phone to rest on so the magnet really only needs to hold the phone horizontally, which works great with a phone this heavy. It ends up being pretty rock solid, I've never had the phone fall out even going over some pretty serious bumps and potholes.
In any case the Rokform does look like an interesting option if you don't use the S-View cover, if I ever decide to switch I'll have to look into it. I almost wonder if you could combine the Rokform with a Qi pad to make some kind of homebrew magnetic Qi dock... I'll have to look into that
if you have no problem with aircon vent mount, you can look for something like "spiderpodium", i bought the china knockoff one, they are great because of flexibility, i still using the same one even after changing phone or case.
I would love to see some "Real" pictures of this case.
I have supcase unicorn beetle pro, what mount should i get
I second the magnet mount. I personally use the iMagnet. It's the only magnet version I've personally tested but I did a ton of research on it and found that it had the strongest magnet and also the 'sticky base' which allows it to mount to curved or bumpy surfaces. I have it mounted to the side of my cars instrument cluster dash cover at around 2o'clock, same curve as the steering wheel. This way I don't have to take my hand off the wheel to press the screen.
I'll also chime in and give a +1 to magnetic mounts. As I mentioned earlier in this thread I personally use the Bracketron Si Earth Elements mount, I absolutely love it. Really fantastic mount, super strong magnets in it (stronger than other magnetic mounts I've tried) and it also has little adjustable feet that flip out at the bottom to help support the phone, which for a device as big (and heavy!) as the Note 4 is extremely helpful. It's proven to be a very solid setup for me, I've been using it for at least a month now and my Note 4 hasn't fallen or dropped a single time, actually it barely budges even when I've gone over some serious bumpy roads and potholes.
I'll also say that the Rokform magnetic mount that was posted earlier in this thread looks pretty interesting as well. It won't work for me because I use the S-View cover, but with any normal case it should work with no problem and it definitely looks like a very good system.
Just a few questions with regards to this case. Firstly, I dont see any speaker cut outs on the back of this case? Is the speaker volume muffled by this? Also, how is the mic quality when talking with someone on the phone? Are the two tiny holes on the bottom good enough for sound to flow through flawlessly? And finally, how is your signal strength while the phone is in this case?

Hijacking the thread... anyone know if this would inhibit the use of the note 4 edge? This case looks pretty awesome...
First words out of my mouth when I saw pictures of the case were literally "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" as in, why would anyone smother their phone with that monstrosity. It doesn't even look nice and I'm willing to bet that it absolutely kills signal. I have the Iron Shield which only has aluminum around the sides and I have to take it off to use GPS... It's almost impossible to get a good lock with it on... I can't even imagine what this case would do to my phone.
If you have a CD slot, I suggest giving one of the Koomus CD slot mounts a try. They have various clip and magnet versions. I personally prefer CD slot mounts over air vent/windshield/dash mounts.

[Q] Windscreen Car Mount compatible with SViewCase

Hi,
Any one have experiences with using a car mount for their note 4 that is compatible with the S View case. I've come across some which are quite cheap but am wary some require you to take the case off... specially considering the size of the note 4.
Thanks.
I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009BIPEMG/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works great with the Note 4 and any average sized case. It does not work with the Otterbox case though since the Otterbox adds so much girth. They do sell a larger RAM Mount though.
At any rate, this mount is really really solid. I can rotate the mount to landscape if needed without taking the phone out of the mount.
I use the Bracketron Si Earth Elements magnetic mount with my S-View case, absolutely love it! You need to put some metal pieces under the battery cover to give the magnet something to stick to, but once you do the magnet is strong enough to hold the phone with the S-View cover flipped around to the back. It also has little feet that flip out for the phone to rest on, which is definitely nice for a phone this size. All in all it's a pretty rock solid setup, I've never once had my phone fall out even going over some pretty serious bumpy roads and potholes. I highly recommend looking into it, once you get a taste of a magnetic mount you'll never want to go back! No arms, no grips, no springs, just drop the phone on it and you're done... it's about as quick and easy as it gets!
I will say that the included metal plates that come with the Bracketron do not fit very well under the battery cover, so I just cut some thin gauge sheet steel into a strip and it fits perfectly- no bulge or anything.
Anyway, here's a link to their site but you can pick it up at your local BestBuy or whatever, definitely should check it out!

It looks like this will press on the volume button all the time.
Where does the top left rubber thing sit on the side of the phone?
Any other good car mounts that play nice with the S View Case?

With the s view case it doesn't hit the buttons at all, the case holds it off....with other cases or naked you just position it a little lower and it works great.

Thanks.
Do you think it might deform the S View case in the long run then?
The case looks quite flexible.
I got the OsoMount 360, which is exactly like the Montar mount and while the mount feels solid it has the worst mechanism ever to operate. You need 3 hands to put or remove your phone properly.
So now I am contemplating between the Samsung Universal Smartphone Vehicle Dock (4.0" ~ 5.7") and the RAM X-Grip.
That Samsung looks nice! But nothing holds firm like the Ram Mount. I have a slip cover on my Note 4 so it does not accidentally press any keys.
Plus, the middle is just perfect for mounting an NFC tag to...

[Q] Recommendations for bicycle mount

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a bicycle mount for the S6. Preferrably one that installs directly onto the post.
Any suggestions?
I'm using a Quadlock on my race bike with ny old HTC One m7. It's easy and secured. Only downside is that they don't have a S6 case yet, so you will have to buy your own case.
+1 on the quadlock. Be careful on rubber cases (ie otterbox). The universal mount doesn't stick well to it.
I seriously crashed my bike on a trail but the phone stayed secure

I used this solution
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to_0253xxaU
https://www.niteize.com/product/HandleBand.asp
I got this for $19 from PerformanceBike. Works like a charm with my G S6. I use the Wahoo app to track rides, and the rubber band works perfectly with the main display. I'm a fan of this system. An added benefit is that it provides a lot of shock protection for the phone, which has to be better than a direct lock to the stem.
I found a very durable bike case on Amazon from buybits. There is a head stem mount with 1" ball and separate Galaxy S6 case with 1" socket. This case/holder seems very durable.
Several items to note...
1- I had to remove the plastic screen protector on the case to allow the finger print sensor to work. It peeled off easily with some delicate motivation.
2- The light sensors are covered up so I had to adjust brightness manually.
3- The speaker is very muffled. Since the case is no longer waterproof with the screen protector removed, I'm considering drilling some small holes to make a speaker grill.
4- I was able to fit my S6 with Verus Iron Shield case after some slight modifications to the internal spacers.
5- The only potential weak point is the quick attachment from the socket to the back of the case. Even considering this, it's still far stronger than any other bicycle holder I've seen.
6- This case is huge.
I'm not allowed to post links yet, so search Amazon for the following:

Question Non-foldable case for Z-FLIP 4 ?

Hello !
I'm searching for a non-foldable case (in one piece) for my brand new Z-FLIP 4, but I can't find it anywhere.
Anyone know if this exists?
You're probably wondering why a Z-FLIP owner would want an open case
It's mainly to be able to use navigation on a motorcycle, but also to play games from time to time, which is clearly not an easy task with a phone that fold.
Thanks a lot for your feedbacks !
I play games on mine all the time even in a Kishi controller without a non foldy case. A decent mount holding it from the center on your phone so it won't fold from wind or something would also handle the motorcycle mount I would think?
You can try to find a thin metal (or hard) plate, wafer/stack it between the case and phone. Should make it harder to bend.

That might work, but metal blocks radio frequencies.
pvc, credit card.
check this one, has the cut outs for .... even the original one has cut out to fit something harder.
For your motorcycle go to RAM website. Their phone holder has always worked perfect for me, whether fold phones or not. I used X grip.
