Cricket provided the unlock code, my cousin went to at&t to activate the phone with them so he gave the code to the at&t representative and he entered the unlock code but now it says that the phone is locked permanently. I guess he tried too many times. I went ahead and ordered the unlock code from a web service and the code is the same as the one cricket gave him. Any way around this?
Is there a way to dump the eeprom and edit the corresponding line from "0A" to "00"?

i called at&t and they gave me a code 25086800 and it did not work. i went online and odered a code and i was given this same code again, my money had to be refunded. the online sellers said my phone cant be unlocked cos manufacturer gave at&t a wrong unlock code. can anyone here please help me get an app or way to calculate it from the imei. motorola said there's nothing they can do about it cos at&t is responsible for unlock codes. i never seem to run out of retry,s when inputing unlock code. any help or idea is welcome. my phone is a motorola flipside mb508.

Does the Sprint LG G Flex 2 qualify for a DSU (Domestic Sim Unlock)?
Ignore my question. Sprint has successfully Domestic Sim Unlocked my LG G Flex 2 (LS996) and here is proof:
Edit: I further tested the DSU on my phone and found that calls and sms don't work for now. Like the phone is trying to route it to Sprint.
Edit: I have contacted Sprint with the Unlock Transaction the specialist gave me and they are working on fully unlocking my phone. For now I have a pseudo unlock.
Did they give you a code to unlock it? What method did they use?

They tried to give me the MSL code which I already have. I spoke to a Sprint technical specialist and told her that the phone qualified for a DSU and the Rep. did something on her side that made my phone accept Domestic Sims. Even if everything doesn't work correctly it is a step forward.

You should have an app to request a carrier unlock. If the T-Mobile and the MetroPCS devices are essentially the same I don't see why this would not be the case. My MetroPCS LG G Stylo has the app on the home screen in the folder which contains all of my MetroPCS apps. I've actually been fighting with support about getting mine unlocked prior to the 90 day policy for use when I am in Germany.

Good luck trying to unlock the Style H631 with T-Mobile. They are a bunch of lying manipulating thieves. My mother bought the phone from T-Mobile 2 years ago, she was paying $65.00 a month ($15.00 included for phone payment). I told her to go with H2O, Cricket or AT&T, which have he best reception where we live. I told her to unlocked network her Stylo, we tried by codes by purchasing from online unlock companies, didn't work. I told her to contact T-Mobile and asked for an unlocked code since she was with them for 2 years and never miss a payment. They told her that she needed to pay the remainder of the phone in order for them to give them an unlock code. She did, it was around $120.00. At the time, they gave her a receipt and gave her a number to call. She called and told her that it can't be done because she already unlocked 2 phones in one year, and they only unlock one phone per year. It doesn't make sense, it was her first time unlocking a phone with T-Mobile, she then replied to them, if you can only unlock one phone per year, then how come it shows 2 phone in one year?
If you are with T-Mobile, you are simply out of luck, and the app to unlock is just an app that will display "device can't be unlock" or something along those lines. Best of luck.
Last saturday I bought a second hand motorola motoz. It was locked with Bell and my provider is telus. SO I contacted bell to get it unlocked. so we went through all of that and they said it was unlocked. but i never got an unlock code. so i called back and they said the phone was unlocked already and they never had the unlock code anymore. but the phone is still asking for a unlock code. I called their specialist and they told me to contact motorola. i contacted motorola and waited a week for the same answer as before. they never had the unlock code, is their anything else i could do? or do i just give up and get rid of the phone.

I am trying to unlock my LG Q6 (LG-M703) , currently locked to Koodo. I already received and unlock code from koodo, but even if I insert a new sim card (for Virgin network by example), the cell phone never prompt me for the unlock code. I tried a couple of codes found on the web, but no success ! Does anyone has a clue ? Usually it's quite simple to unlock a cell phone , but LG seems to be quite hard.
