[wtb] Looking for Surface Pro Docking Station - Microsoft Surface

Sorry if this doesn't belong here, Swappa came up with nothing. I am in desperate need of two Surface Pro/Pro 2 Docking Stations in Europe (eBay US has some but shipping and import are killing me). Does anyone have a supplier that still carries them or maybe have one for sale? PM if you do.

Have you tried negotiating with the sellers on eBay?

it's not them, it's (mostly) the import duties. And also them, as there seems to be a tendancy to charge (far) more for these than for docks that are still available, like the SP3/SP4 dock.

I wish I could be more help :/ do you have anyone you know in the US that could send it to you? Assuming that could offset some of the cost. (I could be wrong though)

I know that it's not the best solution, but if you buy a Mugen 2600 mAh battery, it comes with it's own cover (due to the extra thickness)...
Best Regards
yea i have just ordered one from here http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/toshiba/toshiba-tg01.html it has been shipped today i have heard very good feedback from this particular battrey.I hope that it lives up to its expectations and the hype one user said he got 4 days out of it with heavy use i find this hard to believe but we will see.If anyone has expiriences with this battrey over longterm use please tell us your story and rate the 2600mah battrey thanks.
I have the same problem, I already wrote directly to Toshiba, and wrote off that I can not help it, never want toshiba, what is too mobile to which the cap can not be bought anywhere
I just spoke to the Toshiba UK customer care team and they said they would send me one free of charge. My original is pretty clean but has a tiny hairline crack in one corner. Toshiba UK are absolutely fantastic and very helpful

I had the same problem for months, I found dead TG01 on allegro, talked with seller and bought it for 40 zł.
I think you can talk with someone here to order one (or two) and send it to you, it can be sent in a normal letter so you won't pay much for it.
If you find someone who is willing to help (and would be able to get two covers), please notify me (through PM) I would also be interested in getting one so we can split shipping costs (50:50).
Well my brand new back cover turned up today free of charge and as a bonus a brand new 8GB micro SD card was included free of charge, as I mentioned that my original Toshiba card was very slow to load files onto. Toshiba UK are absolute stars in my opinion

Car Dock question

I'm after a Nexus One car dock, the 100% genuine article.
Problem is I'm based in France so can't get one through Google and don't want to use Ebay.
I can't find anyone who stocks them so just wondering if anyone on here knows of a source.
Thanks in advance.
Wait for a bit. The Nexus One will hit stores soon, apparently, and I'm assuming the accessories will come with it, and, if not, I heard a rumor that the HTC website will be selling Nexus accessories too. I have the car dock, and the only thing I don't like about it is the built in speaker quality, other than that, it's brilliant. Well, and the fact that I have to take my case off in order to get it to fit, but I have to do that with my bedside charger dock as well.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll have to wait.
The 3.99 euro mount I got in the local supermarket does the job and it was the speakers that was the real seller for me so if they're not up to much waiting won't kill me.
I used this mob to get my nexus one and the car dock over to Australia.
Don't know if they ship to france, but they probably do. All you do is sign up(free) you get an address with them, ship the dock to the address and they will ship it to you, they don't seem to charge commission, i think they get a discount with DHL and charge you regular price. so it seems a pretty good deal.

Car Dock

I want the official car dock... simple right?
Problem is that I live in Canada, HTC won't ship it here or to a mailbox on their side of the border. They require a US credit card or whatever. Is there any way to get these from elsewhere?
Try the usual suspects...
My recommendation is that you try to get it used from either Amazon or Ebay, I don't think that you have any other options.
I don't have the original dock, as my car has integrated bluetooth, but I bought this car mount: Kensington Windshield /Vent Car Mount with Quick-Release Cradle for iPhone/iPod touch. Yes, I know what it says, but it works perfectly with the N1, especially if you have a case and don't want to take your phone out of it every time you get in your car.
As far as a car charger, you need to get this: Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter MicroUSB Rapid Rate Charger, there is no other charger that works better than this, and it is actually very cheap (US$ 5.49). It will actually charge your phone while using navigation, with GPS and bluetooth active, and full screen brightness, that's how good this charger is.
I actually modded the mount so it will hold the cable, I will try to post a picture later on.
I hope that this helps.
I really want the official dock as it has speakers and hookups for 3.5mm so I can listen to music from my phone.
ebay, I tried that. I don't want to pay $200 for a car dock. They are so over priced on there. Amazon.com doesn't ship most of their stuff to canada, however I did find it on there (thanks). I will try purchasing one of these and see what happens.
In the US does HTC have a store you can walk into to buy this dock? I find it doubtful but I'm going on vacation in the US next week, thinking maybe I could pick one up...
No store...
No, HTC doesn't have stores in the US at all. I know that a few months ago, some T-Mobile stores were carrying some of the N1 accessories, but I think that that is a very long shot. If you are coming here, I would recommend that you order it from HTC and have it express mailed to wherever you will be staying, that should solve your problem. Good luck.
Except for how they don't take Canadian credit cards...
You can have mine for $60 (the price I paid after tax) + shipping. Do you want the desktop dock too?

I used these guys to get my Nexus one to Australia. They are a mail forwarding company. they don't even charge you a commission over and above normal shipping afaik, they get a special deal with DHL and make money on the difference.
As for the credit card, mine worked when i put my normal address for the street, but put a US state as the state.
Im gonna get this carholder: http://goo.gl/IJdUG

[Q] Low cost digitizer from U.S?

Hi guys,
Posted this in the other galaxy s2 forum since 727 was not listed on the forums page (had to search for it).
Anyway I'm helping a friend replace his broken screen/digitizer and I've noticed that the cheapest ones on ebay (or anyone for that matter) are about $150. Even iPhone digitzers are cheaper so I thought that maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Anyone know of a good place to get them cheaper for the I-727?
The cheapest digitizers on eBay are $120. It doesn't matter if they're from China or from US, AFAIK you get exactly the same one.
You can't and won't get anything cheaper. Due to your inquiry I can safely assume you don't know one fact - unlike other manufacturers, Samsung packages LCD+Digitizer as a single unit, and separating them in anything but a dedicated lab with special tools is extremely hard / impossible. This is the reason for the cost.

[Q] Importing a TF700 to the UK - I've Never Imported Before!

Hi,
I really want a TF700, but the UK price is ridiculous, and I don't want/need the 64GB.
So, although the idea terrifies me, I want to import one. Can anyone help with a few questions, please? (I know some of these can be answered elsewhere, but I thought I'd throw them in while I was asking the main one about importing. Sorry).
If the tablet comes with 4.0, will I, from the UK, be able to get an automatic, official upgrade to Jelly Bean? (If not, I'm happy to go custom, which I've done on a couple of phones)
Do I need a fancy power adaptor, or will the bog standard US to UK ones work just fine?
If I get one without the dock, can I use the dock from anything else in the same line?
When importing, say I do it through eBay (a decent, well reseached seller, such as BuySpry, perhaps), are there any other potential hidden charges other than the price and the stated shipping cost?
And finally, can anyone recommend where to import one from (to the UK)?
I'm very grateful for any advice. Thanks.

Hi bought my tf700 tablet from the US on Ebay, it took about 3days to arrive at DHL in the Midlands. DHL phoned me to advise me that I had to pay the duty which was about 62 pounds. I also bought a charger on Ebay for about 12 pounds. You can also use the US charger I plugged it in to a travel adapter. I have done all the Asus updates on my tablet with out any problems at all.
I believe the tf201 keyboard/dock is the same as the one for the tf700
I imported mine from Amazon Germany. Weirdly it was dispatched from Milton Keynes in 2 days. Stickers had German on though when unpacked but fired up in English straight away.
I didn't have to pay any duty and with the euro exchange rate at the time I saved a bit of cash as well. :good:
I just bought a travel plug adapter for the power pack and it works fine.
Thanks, both. Hadn't thought of Germany. Hmmm...
