I know that it's not the best solution, but if you buy a Mugen 2600 mAh battery, it comes with it's own cover (due to the extra thickness)...
Best Regards
yea i have just ordered one from here http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/toshiba/toshiba-tg01.html it has been shipped today i have heard very good feedback from this particular battrey.I hope that it lives up to its expectations and the hype one user said he got 4 days out of it with heavy use i find this hard to believe but we will see.If anyone has expiriences with this battrey over longterm use please tell us your story and rate the 2600mah battrey thanks.
I have the same problem, I already wrote directly to Toshiba, and wrote off that I can not help it, never want toshiba, what is too mobile to which the cap can not be bought anywhere
I just spoke to the Toshiba UK customer care team and they said they would send me one free of charge. My original is pretty clean but has a tiny hairline crack in one corner. Toshiba UK are absolutely fantastic and very helpful

I had the same problem for months, I found dead TG01 on allegro, talked with seller and bought it for 40 zł.
I think you can talk with someone here to order one (or two) and send it to you, it can be sent in a normal letter so you won't pay much for it.
If you find someone who is willing to help (and would be able to get two covers), please notify me (through PM) I would also be interested in getting one so we can split shipping costs (50:50).
Well my brand new back cover turned up today free of charge and as a bonus a brand new 8GB micro SD card was included free of charge, as I mentioned that my original Toshiba card was very slow to load files onto. Toshiba UK are absolute stars in my opinion

Hello everybody! I love my Qtek 9000 for many reasons, but the thing I hate the most is the battery. I tried different ROMs (Ranju's, Tomal's etc) and I'm using now the Shiva310.
My ppc never shut down with battery less than 10%...NEVER! But now it's impossible to use it, because it ends at 70%! With the previous it ended at about 50%.
Anybody knows why? I've paid attention to flash when I had full charged battery (Green LED).
Hi,
I have similar problem in past. I have sent my universal to technical assistance too, for more security. But my suspect are right, was the battery. After I have changed the battery, the problem solved.
Regards
Had the same problem - only one solution was/is available, as to my knowledge, to change the battery
Hi
Change your battery. It will solve the problem. I had the same problem and I solved it that way.
Thank you all for your answers. I tried to resurrect my battery with this thread (Solution 2: Recalibrate the battery) and tonight I'll try to put in the freezer. Then I'll reflash the ROM again to understand if the ROM version matters.
I'll came back in this thread to show the results. Bye!
You are only $29USD away form a new battery, so I´ll recommend you to try that option.
Good luck
I saw prices like that in a site but I don't know how much will the shipping cost! I'm in Italy and the International rate are not much friendly...
Aren't there cheaper batterys on eBay? or are they of lower quality? I've been thinking of bying an extended battery (3000+ mhA) before I placed my uni up for sale.
Should one buy batteries from eBay? if so does anyone know of a reliable seller?

Ersil: I'm obviously a new member and I'm not familiar with a lot on this forum but can you please tell me, if you are from Itali how come you have FIDO.CA as a mobile service provider, isn't it only a Canadian mobile company? I've noticed this a lot on other profiles; I've just always thought that Fido is strictly a Canadian company.

I'll check on eBay, but I don't like it much in this time, it's becoming too expensive.

The seller seems legitimate, and with almost 40,000 sales at %99.3 positive I would trust him. I also checked his reviews and most buyers seem to be very happy with their purchase, the only negatives were due to slow shipping and wrong parts but at %99.3 you can't go wrong.
My only concern is with the battery itself; would it hold long enough of a charge to match the original battery’s life.
I bough a couple batteries for my Kodak camera and neither of them hold the charge as long as my original does.
I hope this helped.
MY HTC Desire HD sim cover crack when I use it at first day. It is too soft and so fragile. I go to HTC Care center (Singapore) and ask for service, they quote me 100 SGD(76 USD). That is 12% of whole phone cost. That is ridiculous!!! That is not all of it. They request me to let them have the phone for 3-5 days just to fix it. It is just a user replaceable cover. What a lousy service.

Well there are two options:
You can glue the cover and put silicon cover the back of the phone and wait for Chinese ultra cheap parts
Or wait for the beginning of the January when it seems to me that a lot of shops will receive official spare parts. For instance here you can preorder it for 19 pounds:

Thats is a good reason, but I doubt HTC Singapore will do that.
Below is my support reply from htc :
Me: My HTC Desire HD sim card cover broken. It is so fragile, it made of soft plastic. It is my first day using it. How I suppose to get a new cover?
HTC : Thank you for contacting HTC.
With reference to your query, we would suggest you to back up all your data first and bring your phone with the receipt to our care center in Singapore for servicing. Our engineer will help you to check and fix your phone.
Me : I go to singapore care centre and ask for help. They say comestic issues is not cover by htc. The charges for replace a small plastic cover is 100 sin dollar, which is 12% of a new phone cost. That is ridiculous. And worst case more they need to hold my phone for three to five days just to replace a user replaceable part. I feel so frustrated with this kind of service. I like htc product so much but this had failed me.
HTC : We are really sorry to hear that. Hope you can get your phone fix asap.
Thank you for your continuous support of our products and services. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
We look forward to be of service to you again.
Me :That is the only replied you can give? That is not helpful at all!!!
It is too expensive for a small plastic cover!! And this had been know issues for many users. And other country users get the free replacement. How come Singapore users cannot get free replacement for that?
http://www.htcforums.com/desire-hd/6672-htc-desire-hd-*-replacement-sim-card-cover-*.html
HTC : Please understand that we are not trying to make profits by raising the price of the parts. All we will earn is the labor charge to pay the engineer. And due to the cause of the damage is not covered by our company's warranty statement (actually any mobile phone company will consider this situation as out of warranty case, I should say), it will be really difficult for us to provide any discount to you without a proper reason. We really hope that we can help to repair your phone and make it to be of service to you again, but still we have to take our budget into consideration.
We are quite sorry for any inconvenience it may cause and thank you for your consideration!
Me : I cannot understand. You mean labor charge for put on the cover??? You gonna be kidding??
HTC UK website is selling it at 32 Singapore Dollar and willing to ship to customer.
It is just a cover that anyone, even child know how to put back!

Probably we should lodge a complaint to HTC HQ..
I got a replacement phone this from my provider as my screen developed a fault.
Before the courier arrived I took the battery and sim cover off the old one as I knew they wouldn't notice. New phone arrived. Now I have a spare sim and battery cover.

Ebay is definitely worth checking - here in the UK, i got a replacement battery cover for just under a fiver.
Depending on the age of your device, you could also try sending a polite email to HTC support. A while back, I sent them message about my SIM/SD cover being loose, and they sent me a replacement at no cost to me. Took about a fortnight.
Official pricing for these parts (I've seen upwards of £15) can be quite extortionate...

My desire hd back body is bend as it fell down. where can i buy back body and flash lid as they are damaged I came across full back body housing costs 28 us dollars and its chinese I think so. In some online websites they have stated as original and few as OEM, which one should I buy.
Here one local repair centre person said if we buy chinese they might not fit correctly/exactly here and there might buldge or wouldnt fit part in appropriate position, since its too costly can any one help me by suggesting to get correct one! thanks. am from India.
If it says OEM the quality will be good as the original.

I bought the Xperia Z2 from eBay. It was 10K less then on Amazon (INR).
So basically, these devices are international variants, brought from international markets such as China & sold in your country, the phone is absolutely fine but you might get the charger of some different country. Also, you might not get manufacturer warranty but sellers warranty, which means if anything goes wrong, you cannot take your device to Sony & raise a claim, you'll have to return it to the eBay seller & he'll hook you up with a replacement.
The best part was
When i bought the Z2, I received model version D6503 which hat LTE/4G whereas the Z2 available in India was with the model version D6502, which did not support LTE/4G.,
I got my phone from here and got it within two days.

Yeah. It's a bit narrow and due to the curved glass it lifts on the edges no matter how much I press down on it.

I've been looking at that seller as it's much cheaper than buying in Australia ($999 AUD for Forest Blue).
My main concern is the warranty and stuff, which seems non-existant on (international) phones for Sony.
Can you tell me a bit more about how the item was packaged / gifts received / safe to buy?

Lol i read the warranty is for 12 month and can be increased to 24 month with optional overpriced
However I think 12 month is the most convenient given that in general offers them the producer.
For what it's worth, I just bought an XZ from the seller tropical_mobile on eBay on Tuesday, and it showed up today from Singapore.
Compared with the US retail version, the only differences I noticed were that the box was sealed, included some cheap earbuds, a screen protector that doesn't give full coverage, and the power adapter is gigantic.
As for customs, there wasn't a declaration form anywhere on my package.

Yes. It was part of the built-in setup process. Though in fairness, I had also flashed the generic UK ROM on a US phone, and the reader worked just fine there, too.
Anyway, when the phone first booted, there were some messages in what I presume to be Mandarin. I have no idea what they said, and I don't remember the US version doing that out of the box. Once you tap through them, you get the option to change the language, and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.
Anyone from the UK bought the dual XZ from the Uk comment on decent sellers?
