So I've been poking around and it appears no one a method for downgrading from SU6-7.7 to SU6-7.3 or 7. Just wanted to start a thread asking if anyone had found something I hadn't or if anyone is willing to take this task up? If nothing else start a spot for others interested to post as well.

Looking to meet up with a more knowledgeable member (I'll buy lunch/dinner) to help me root, cid, to be able to flash roms....
I am a little knowledgeable, but the chance of my bricking my phone does not weigh my options here at this point..there's seems to be too many steps for my background...
I have had the Inspire and been flashing roms left and right but to do this on the One X and type code etc. , is just not cutting it and need your assistance.
I appreciate any response!
Thanks in advance,

It's actually not that complicated. There is a One Click root tool that you use for root that does it all for you. You just plug your phone into any computer with the drivers installed and run the tool, and in a few minutes you are rooted, with no user input. For boot loader unlock, you will need to do something on your own but that just involves copying and pasting some text. You use a one click tool for that too. I'm sure if you search around on the root and boot loader threads you'll figure it out enough for you to do it on your own.
I'll do it if you fly me out to Florida. I'll even take a redeye so the airfare will be cheap.
There are one clicks available for root, unlock, and recovery. Just did it today. Wasn't planning tobdo it for a while, but I tried to use a keyboard mod on stock rooted, didn't work now I'm running Clean Rom 2.4 and couldn't be happier. But I have been flashing Roms for over abfew years, and many phones.

Honestly?
NEVER EVER EVER have someone else do this stuff for you.
If you ever come across a problem later on that needs to be fixed, where is your help going to be? these forums+your mind. if someone else does it for you, you are more likely to panic when something comes up.
it is INFINITELY better to understand what you are doing and do the work yourself vs having someone else do everything for you.
if it is too hard for you to accomplish after utilizing the tools and information available to you here, then you are not ready to do it or have it done to your phone. leave it stock until you ARE ready...actually ready, not just thinking you want it.

So I decided to root my Milestone X2 from Bluegrass Cellular. However, after several hours of searching it appears I'm not able to do anything as far as creating a backup for installing ROMs. On top of that, I don't think there are even any custom ROMs for my phone. All my preliminary research about rooting that led me to pulling the trigger was conducted under the assumption that the Milestone X2 was just the Bluegrass generic name for Droid X2. I now realize this isn't the case.
So my question is, what can I do with my rooted phone now? I was all excited about trying custom ROMs, but I think the only benefit I can get from rooting with my phone is free tethering? If someone could please provide some insight, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.
Moved to General Q&A.
I hope that this is the right forum to post this. I have looked around to find info on this but I have to admit that I am lost and way in over my head.
What I would like to do is to use the Droid Razr Maxx HD that I have with Pageplus. I just got done with a long session with Remoteflash trying to get my Droid Razr Maxx HD Flashed to pageplus. He tried several different things. NO GO. Said it was an issue of not having the right driver....Bummer. He said that he could do the Razr Maxx but not the HD models. I am seriously bummed...
Is there anyone out there that can do this for me?? Or a tutorial on how I could do it myself? It seems that there is a lot of info here on this phone but after reading a lot of it I realize that I am way out of my element. Can someone point me in the right direction?
thanks,
Alfred

So no one here has been able to flash the Razr hd to pageplus? I see that someone has had some success with the razr m, would these be similar? I know that the razr maxx can be done, but aparently it is different than the HD.
I have been reading a lot of forums and I might be willing to try to do it myself and I am considering purchasing CDMA workshop in order to do it but I want to make sure that I will acctually be able to accomplish it if I spend the money.
I am also concerned about bricking the phone and would like to learn more on how to avoid it.
Thanks,
Alfred

No one? Nothing?
i think the others were possible because they had ICS on them and not Jelly Bean which opens up another can of issues.... but someone is determined and it should be done soon....
subscribed. I really am waiting on this too. It is possible now to flash the razr, razr maxx NON HD versions if you are on Jelly bean by changing the LTE value from 1 to 0. would this help here? Or is it still about the NV only not sticking?

I have successfully performed a full flash of the Razr Maxx HD to pageplus.
I used this guide for the Razr M.
I played around with my Droid X (installed CM and the like) years ago, but I haven't tried to do anything with my Razr Maxx HD since I'm in grad school. I've just been keeping it up to date with OTA updates, but I'd like to try roms again, namely the newer CM.
From what I've read, I need an earlier version of the OS in order to unlock the bootloader or root the phone.
I've also read (and have found from some personal experience the past couple days) that it is impossible to use RSD lite (6.1.4) to downgrade to literally any OS older than the one currently installed.
Is there anything I can do with this phone? Can I, either with or without RSD Lite, get to an earlier version? Can I at least root it so I can use Ti backup?
Or is there literally nothing I can do with this phone?
Two final, quick questions. Is anyone still working on this phone, or is it too much a pain andeveryone has moved on?
Finally, now that Moto is google, is the Moto X (and future phones) more dev friendly? Or do I need to think about moving away from Moto if I want to play around with my phone?
Sorry this is a repeated question, I guess I'm mostly bummed about what I've found and just want to be 100% sure I'm not able to do anything before I give up.
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. Pretty much if you want to mod a Moto now, you need to get a Dev X or a M/HD that has the bootloader already unlocked.

recently turned my MHD in for an insurance claim (cracked screen)... didn't think about receiving a different MHD with up to date OTA's. LUCKILY received one with 9.18.79... so I can still obtain root... but lost being unlocked but like RikRong stated above... those are pretty much your only options now.. best of luck.
I've been following this Mofo exploit thing; it allows you to write a new system image that may be altered. On the Turbo. My question is, would this be of possible use on (finally) getting the Ultra (vers. 4.4.4) rooted? Could you downgrade to an exploitable version, say 4.4 or even 4.2.2? Has anyone played with this? I see no recent postings suggesting this has been attempted, I see no real recent activity for the Ultra. I figured someone should post this question and see if this sparks something.
EDIT: Ohh I get it now. A day late and a dollar short;
