[How-to] Root your Device - all versions + All Firmware Download - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

[How-to] Root your SM-N920P Device - all versions
*** WARNING ***
Installing Custom Recovery WILL trip knox.
You will no longer have the ability to use Android Pay, EVER, and your warranty may become void.
Stage 1
Preparing the stock rom
** This is REQUIRED
• In the stock rom, turn on developer mode, enable USB debugging and OEM Unlock
• Settings>>>about device>>> scroll to bottom and tap build number 8 times
now press back button once and tap developer options...
• Toggle on both USB debugging and OEM Unlock.
[WARNING] Do not EVER turn these off or your phone will not boot and you will be forced to reflash back to factory build with odin.
Stage 2
Install TWRP Custom Recovery with Odin
• Download Odin, TWRP custom recovery tar & also current SuperSU or Magisk flashable zip
Root Methods:
SuperSU sytemless root flashable zip (twrp flashable version)
or
Magisk - Root & Universal Systemless Interface [Android 5.0+]
Odin:
Odin for download mode
TWRP Custom Recoveries:
TWRP Download Links
- Please note that not all versions of TWRP are compatible with all versions of Android
• Copy the SuperSU or Magisk zip to internal storage for later
• Extract Odin zip-file on pc
• Power down the phone
• Open Odin on pc
• Boot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
• Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
• Add the recovery file to AP / PDA (depending on version of Odin)
• Make sure re-partition & Auto Reboot are NOT ticked
• Click the start button and let the Odin flash complete
Stage 3
• Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
- Press and hold volume down+power to reboot and as soon as the phone screen flashes, press and hold Home+Power+Volume Up buttons
to get into recovery. The timing has to be right but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.
• If TWRP asks, the answer is yes, swipe to allow modifications. It will only ask you this once (unless internal storage ever gets wiped).
• Install SuperSU or Magisk zip, let the phone boot, it may reboot once or twice while it configures the phone.
The short version:
I know the above looks complicated, but we only need to do two things...
1. Install custom recovery with Odin
2. Install SuperSU or Magisk zip in custom recovery

DOWNLOAD LINK FOR ALL STOCK FACTORY BUILDS
For going back to stock. Extract zip and flash with Odin
Note:
Flashing the PJ2 firmware blocks going back to ANY earlier versions.

This method is definitely working with PG1? I can't get it to work. I follow the steps in ODIN and it seems to take and the phone immediately reboots. I try do VOL UP POWER HOME as soon as the first screen pops up after flashing TWRP but it always just does a regular reboot. Then, if I power off the phone and Boot the phone with VOL UP HOME POWER it will boot into recovery but the stock recovery. I'm missing something small here or PG1 isn't rootable. Thats the conclusion I've come to

Skooled by TD once again! You're right, I didn't follow the instructions as closely as I thought I did! Got into TWRP!

Nice.

@SantinoInc
So I am assuming you were able to root PG1? Were you able to install MOAR 4.1 with PG1? Does the hotspot work?
I am getting my Note 5 in a couple days and don't know what version is on there but Im already reading up and getting ready to customize this bad boy!
Mahalo!

I'm trying to restore back to stock and i must be missing something, after odin and i reboot it it starts to install and goes up to about 40% then it starts erasing and boots ups to the failed android symbol. what am i missing? should i check repartition in odin to see if that fixes it?

@tdunham do you have the latest firmware for h

Thanks @tdunham very much appreciated.
I recently (about a weem ago), unrooted and went to stock because I picked up a gear s2 and couldn't get it to work with your 8/28/16 latest and greatest Rom. Since then I feel like the Gear Manager just wasn't up to date.
Re rooting here in the next hour and am glad you put this together because I miss your Rom so much!
Love the guide. You're the best Dev the Note 5 users have.

Been out of the loop for a while guys. I come back and my phone is way outdated. Is bh9 the newest firmware. I tried Samobile but my phone isn't working so good

It's been out for a while.
Just a heads up, updating to PJ2 locks the firmware at that level.
You will not be able to flash any of the available stock firmware tarballs with odin and the PJ2 tarball is not available yet and may not be for a while.

I am on PJ2, can i still root and install custom rom and/or custom kernal on my stock note5? Does this just mean if i run into problems that i wont beable to go back to stock? Should i wait or is it safe for me to flash my phone?

Yes everything still works. Installing custom recovery will trip knox, nothing new there but tripping knox kills off the ability to use Pay, always has so nothing new there either. I may release a TWRP flashable version of stock PH9 but no going back using odin to stock once on PJ2 until a full tarball is released of that version. It could take a month or more before we see it (PJ2); full tar releases are always very slow to release.

Root for SM-T237P

Just got my hands on a sprint galaxy tab 4. Its a decent little device. Nowhere as good as my Nexus 7 (2013) but still good. Tried to use towel root but ofcourse since the kernel date is Wed July 9th the app isnt working. Has anyone rooted theirs? This thing was just released by sprint today and this one just kind of ended up in my hand for free with no contract. Anyone know anything that can be used to root this thing? Thank you in advance!!!!
I need this also...jut got mine today.

What version of Towelroot are you using? The current version on https://towelroot.com/ is V3 you might have more success with V2 or V1 if V3 doesn't work for you.

I suppose what I said was false to an extent. I can now play music via my external SD card + videos.
What I cannot do is move files, rename files, delete files.
I'm not sure if you were able to do this before running towelroot.
But after I was able to play things from SD via any player (jetaudio, playerpro, mxplayer)
Let me know if you were able to play music before...when I clicked on music files
located on my external SD prior to install it would skip each file
(running through the album till it reached the end) not playing.

Tab 4 SM-T237P root problems
I NEED to get this fixed.
By the way to the previous poster with the Music on SD card problem. There is relief! ROOT! If we can root then we can write to SD.
Can you believe that On these tabs with 4.4.2 GOOGLE HAS DISABLED WRITE ON EXTERNAL SD CARDS! Ridiculos!
I will post a link later if you would like to complain about this issue. Apparently they set up a page o complain about this one issue.
Anyway, I have tried Towelroot V1, V2 and V3
I have tried the Vroot method, Ringo and others that I will add later.
Don't brick your device by using one of the other Tab 4 methods! Make sure all new root methods for the Tab 4 7.0 7.0 SM-T237P!
There are so many other out there but they will not work, at least everything I have extensively tried!

Anything?
So does anyone have any news on this front? Still not rooted and I need to start moving dropbox and music folders to the SD card ASAP! Please post if anything has worked for you on this device.

Root method for Sprint Tab 4 7.0 7.0 SM-T237P
Until we get a custom recovery or the Firmware, Stock Tars from samsung so we can flash back the stock recovery just remember there is no fix if you mess something up. There is no returning to stock and no nandroid backups to restore so proceed with this method only if you are comfortable in what you are doing!!!
I have found a way to obtain root on the Sprint Tab 4 7.0 7.0 SM-T237P. Beware this method will cause you yo loose stock recovery and since we have no custom recovery yet you will be without a recovery. But you will have root. Also be aware this will trip the knox counter also.
Instructions"
1. Download this auto root file by chainfire CF-Auto-Root-milletlte-milletltexx-smt335.zip
2. Enable usb debugging in developer options.
3. Then boot your tablet to download mode
4. Use odin included in this zip and flash the CF-Auto-Root-milletlte-milletltexx-smt335.tar.md5 in the PDA section leave odin open
5.The tablet will reboot to recovery and fail and then it will return to download mode. click the seset button in odin
5. Then flash the twrp_2.7.1.0_SM-T230.tar.md5 in the PDA section the phone will reboot normally now and you will have root.
6. Remember this recovery does not work for our phone it will just allow the phone to boot normally so if you try to boot to recovery you will loop to download mode. To fix this just simply use odin again to reflash the twrp_2.7.1.0_SM-T230.tar.md5 and then phone will boot normally.
Nice, i knew it will only be a matter of time before we get root....will try this out and report back

Help greatly appreciated - S6 G920F Bootloop after odin flash

Hello folks. Today I did a cache, system, data wipe in TWRP on my G920F. After that I tried to restore a nandroid backup, but it failed and when I tried to restart it said there was no OS installed. So the phone wouldn't boot. I figured I did something wrong so I downloaded a 5.1.1 stock rom (UK) and flashed it with odin. But after the flash the phone would just bootloop. How can I revive the phone? Tried flashing the firmware again using another version of odin and also, I did a factory reset from the stock recovery, but no dice. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Hey there,
check this thread here, should help (use TWRP to flash a ROM instead of Odin, links in thread).
Good luck!
Managed to make it work flashing another official rom, then factory reset. Lost all my files though...
Can be closed. Thanks!

Connect the phone to your PC and copy the ROM file to its root folder (just open "phone" and drop it there).
Using TWRP's "install" menu, you can browse your files and point it to this one; usually you're already in the right directory.

None of these three will help, i'm afraid.
The bootloop issue is a result of system write protection with 5.1.1 version, the phone tries to override a flashed recovery-
if it succeeds in automatically rebooting after you flashed, you're stuck on bootloop.
You have to flash a new kernel and root user via Odin, then flash TWRP and use it to install a new ROM.
A short description in this thread here, have a look.
As long as you can get into download mode, don't worry, nothings bricked :good:

Okay, i have done almost all of what you said.
But what im thinking about is the thread your refering to is to a S6 Edge and not for SM-G920F model.
But so far so good.
What kernel to you want me to flash? How can i root via Odin when i don't have USB-debugging on - But i can according to the thread, install SuperSU via TWRP.
I didn't know what kernel i had on, but i managed to install TWRP, install SuperSU via TWRP, pushing my stock rom to TWRP. But when installing the stock rom, it says "no md5 file found" or something like that. What am i doing wrong?

Should work on both Edge and normal.
I have the G920F and did it this way, i also had problems, by the way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62550973&postcount=29
I recommend chosing an XtreStoLite ROM, the odexed version is an "improved stock" one, comes with a modified UniKernel and runs much smoother than stock.
Anyway, in TWRP, there is an option to skip md5 checking for backup files and for skipping the zipfile-check; not sure if you can also disable md5sum-checks.
Maybe you should try downloading the ROM from here or sammobile.de, verify the md5-sum yourself to make sure it is fine, and flash that one.
If TWRP doesn't think the ROM file is ok, it probably isn't ...
here's the odexed version of XtreStoLite:

Okay, i have flashed TWRP, installed the kernel and Super SU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...p-recovery-2-8-7-1-g925f-android-5-1-t3144866). I can read that i WILL get the bootloop if not using the correct modem and bootloader, but for some reason i am not able to flash them. Any help here? Or am i doing everything wrong here?

Alright, you have root access and TWRP is running.
All you have to do is install the ROM file (unextracted, as a .zip) from your phone`s root folder; if your model is a G920F, the bootloader should be 5.1.1 and work, no need to change.
When exactly does Odin give you the error message, right after you click start or after a few secs of flashing?
I suspect the issue to be related to first reboot after flashing the recovery,.
When finished flashing TWRP, did you successfully boot into recovery menu be pressing vol up+home+power?
If you saw the bootloop screen then, you`ll have to do it again, i'm afraid:
Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use Google to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. (...) Once TWRP is booted, TWRP will patch the stock ROM to prevent the stock ROM from replacing TWRP. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.

I know, it`s annoying; but give it another try:
use Odin 3.1.0.7 (run with admin rights), do a full wipe and install TWRP 2.8.7.
When doing so and Odin gives you the "finished/successfully flashed" message, immediately press & hold the key combo to get into recovery; don`t wait for the scrteen to change or unplug the phone, you need to be damn quick here.
If you have done it right, you are in TWRPs recovery menu.
From there, install the XtreStoLite ROM after doing a factory reset; reboot and you should be fine.
Aaaarrgh we will get this thing running, goddammit

What i did was install stock android via Odin.
Flashed TWRP
Flashed Alex V kernel first, then SUPER SU.
Flashed XtreStoLite and it still gives me bootloop.
What i can't manage to do is after flashing TWRP, then i am not fast enough to press Shutdown button, home button, and volume up button before the Samsung logo appears. I think that is the problem.

That IS the problem, i think :fingers-crossed:
Solved the same problem at reddit, take a look: reddit thread
Unfortunately, you must flash TWRP again to try once more, as soon as the samsung logo apperars, your custom recovery is overridden and thats it.
So now, take a deep breath, lean back and try again.
As soon as you have clicked to start the flashing procedure, press the 3 butons firmly, simultaneously and quick as lightning-
hold them down till it boots into TWRP.
Come on, even i have managed it after a few tries

So, for some reason you can't enter recovery mode.
This could be
a) TWRP is not installed correctly (did you use the .img ot the .tar-file? Odin needs the .tar-format: link )
or
b) the kernel you flashed doesn't work with this-
here is the one i have used to root my S6.
I would try to reflash above Unikernel first, if you used the .img-file of TWRP rather than the .tar to flash TWRP,
do it again with the .tar file instead.
If this fails, the last thing would be to flash a unmodified stock ROM to restore the original setup including the bootloader...
i will look into this now a little bit deeper, there has to be a workaround.
Best of luck for now, we stay in touch
EDIT: the developer of XtreStoLite recommends another way with Chainfire's root:
Flash CF-Root for your model with Odin - Make sure you have an custom recovery installed (I advise you to use TWRP) (2.8.7.1 or newer REQUIRED for v.2.1 > of this ROM!!)

If the bootloader is your problem, you can update to the newest versions of bootloader and modem for your model following these instructions:
edgarf28`s instructions
I will do this right now, for a new version of XtreStoLite was just released today and i will upgrade.
Keep me informed

I can enter the recovery mode (TWRP) but not before the Samsung logo appears when i install TWRP. I have tried many times and i still can't enter TWRP before the samsung logo appears for 1-2 secs.
I am not able to flash Edgar28s bootloader and modem because it always gives me nand write error fail. I think it's because i'm not rooted with CFautoroot - and to get rooted with that way, i have to have USB debuggin on which i don't have.
What i think is, that i was very close but i still can't manage to enter TWRP (after installing) without the samsung logo appears for 1-2 secs. Because what you said before "Unfortunately, you must flash TWRP again to try once more, as soon as the samsung logo apperars, your custom recovery is overridden and thats it."
So what do you think now?
And btw thanks for all the help so far. I'm trying my best and following your steps but i always think i'm very close. I'm also so close to destroy my phone but i've read so many places that "it's only a softbrick, that can be fixed very easy".

OK, so you can enter the TWRP menu and install a ROM, right?
Any stock ROM from sammobile.com includes firmware, kernel and bootloader, so flashing the right one of these should reset all this.
Give it a try, for i think TWRP is actually working- otherwise you wouldn't get to the screen.
If the phone runs again with stock firmware, you can then flash a custom ROM.
And yeah, we're close, this can be only a minor flaw...it's near impossible to brick your android phone, so they say.
Don't worry mate, and be assured you're not the only one:
i just got stuck on bootloop also for a few minutes after upgrading to the newest version of XtreStoLite, which came out today.
Using TWRP, i could just flash back the previous version and all's good again.
Cya tomorrow...
EDIT:
I read through your previous comments again; the "md5sum"- issue seems to be a problem with the ROM file itself (corrupted or wrong version).
I'd bet that flashing the correct stock firmware for your carrier and model will solve the problem.
So enter the exact model number (like G920FXXU3COI9 or such) you have, get the right ROM and flash it with Odin 3.10.7
I couldn't find a denmark carrier on sammobile, eventually you have to look here at XDA, there's a list of stock imges as well.
Read lots of threads around this issue, almost all solved the problem flashing a stock ROM again.
Fingers crossed :fingers-crossed:

Yeah, i've never had problems entering TWRP menu. I can flash stock firmware via Odin but i can never do it via TWRP because it's says no md5 file found error - tho i can flash XtreStoLite (i think it's because it says aroma installer).
I've read many places about the md5 file error, but for some reason, i can't figure out how to fix it.
No, there is no Denmark model, but we have NEE (Nordic). The only stock firmware i can install is XEF (i don't remember where i got that from actually).
I will try agian and flash stock android via TWRP AND read about the md5 file error now/later. Tomorrow i will call the store i got the phone from and tell them i have a hardware issue or something like that. The guy owns a store for sellings covers, cases and stuff like that. He got the phone from Samsung free and sold it brand new in the package with 1 year warranty, so i will contact him tomorrow if i can't figure out how to flash stock android via TWRP or if it gives me error about the md5 file.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Update: I can not flash NEE model via Odin. Only XEF model - i also found out it was French firmware.

[N900] ALL-IN-ONE Guide[Root/Recovery/ROM/Knox Reset(claim warranty)/Revert-to-Stock]

Note: There are a lot of guides all over XDA-Fourm for the things that i am going to share in this thread, I am just trying to get all the things at one place and in easy manner, so i request you to please don't ask why another thread . I have mirrored all the files in this thread to my own Drive links so that it would be available till i die , you can find the original links in References at the end.
I am just a normal user, been through all of the things mentioned below just like many of you, but there are still users who are new to all these stuff. So i thought of getting all the things at one place and write the steps in a layman's language. If there is something wrong and needs to be changed, do mention that.
This guide is for the Exynos version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 only which includes:
How to Root
How to Install recovery
How to Flash a new ROM
How to install Xposed on TouchWiz based ROMs (5.0 and 5.0.2)
How to Reset KNOX & Revert to Stock (to claim warranty)
Downloads:
1. Odin v3.07(odin application- needed to flash stuff)
2. USB Drivers(drivers for windows)
3. 'CF-Auto-Root' file by @Chainfire(to root)
4. Bootloader to Reset KNOX counter
5. TWRP Recovery (Use this when you have to flash CM based ROMS)
6. CWM 6.0.7.0 OR Philz Touch 6.47.7 (use these when you have to flash TouchWiz based ROMs)
7. Stock Firmware - from Sammobile Mirror for N900XXUEBOE3_N900ODDEBOB2_INS.zip (Indian Version)
8. XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 (Tried and tested)
9. xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-generic OR xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-exynos.zip (Works with the latest N900ZSUEBOK3 firmware)
Step 0. Backup
Take backup of your contents (contacts, messages, images, videos, etc.)
Step 1. Getting things ready
Download & Extract and Install USB Drivers 1.5.20.
Download & Extract Odin v3.07.
Download CF-Auto-Root-ha3g-ha3gxx-smn900.tar.md5 (make sure you get a file with .md5 extension).
Step 2. Connection
Run Odin on your PC (as administrator).
Turn off your phone.
Keeping the volume down and home button pressed, turn on your phone.
Get into download mode by pressing volume up after you are asked on the phone screen.
After all the above, connect phone with USB cable to PC.
One of the box will turn yellow and confirm that the phone is connected
Step 3. Root (KNOX will show change in counter, but you can always reset that when you need to claim warranty)
Choose PDA in Odin and select the .md5 file extracted in step 1 (don't change anything else in odin)
Press “Start”, the process will complete in few seconds and phone will automatically restart.
Congrats!! You rooted your phone, you will get a SuperSu app in the app drawer.
Step 4. Custom Recovery
In Odin choose PDA and select any of the two recovery as per your need:
twrp-2.8.7.0-ha3g.tar
OR
n900-cwm6.0.7.0.tar (philz zip file is not odin compatible, you can flash it within the recovery)
the press “Start”
Step 4.1 Full Backup (Similar to Restore Point - only after flashed a custom recovery)
Turn off the phone
Keeping the volume up and home button pressed, turn on the phone, you will get to recovery.
Go to Backup & Restore and choose backup to sdcard or backup to extSdCard (will take about 10-15 minutes)
Now you have a restore point, you can go back to this state whenever you want.
Step 5. Flashing a new ROM (if you want to)
Although you must always refer the individual ROM thread as they may have some different steps, but this is a general way to flash a ROM
Download the ROM (zip file) and copy to internal/external storage on your phone.
Turn off the phone
Keeping the volume up and home button pressed, turn on the phone, you will get to recovery.
Follow as per your choice of clean or dirty flash (in the Note)
Then choose install zip, select your ROM, then “yes”
reboot the phone.
Done. You have a new ROM
Note: Clean install/flash means - wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache (sometimes wipe system too) then install ROM.
Dirty install/flash means – direct install without wiping any partition
Step 6. Install Xposed -only for 5.0 or 5.0.2 ROMS (if you want to, you will need a deodexed rom, won't work on stock odexed roms)
Download the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 & xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-generic and copy both the files to your phone (internal or sd-card).
Install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk but don't run the app.
Restart your phone into Recovery Mode. (turn off then pressing volume up + home and turn on)
choose install a zip, select the xposed-v65-sdk21-arm-arter97-V5-generic.zip or xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-exynos.zip
reboot your phone. (you will get android is upgrading which will take a while)
Step 7. Revert to stock with KNOX counter as 0x0 and system state as Official (you can claim warranty comfortably)
a. Download and Extract the bootloader.zip
b. Run Odin
c. Turn off your phone.
d. Keeping the volume down and home button pressed, turn on your phone.
e. Get into download mode by pressing volume up after you are asked on the phone screen.
f. Connect phone with USB cable to PC.
g. Choose PDA in Odin and select the Bootloader.tar file. (don't change anything else on odin)
h. Press “Start”, the process will complete in few seconds and phone will automatically restart.
i. Go to download mode and check if the Knox has turned back to 0.
j. Now choose PDA on odin and select the official firmware (download from the above provided link) and press Start
k. After completion of the process let the device start but don't setup the device, just turn it off.
l. Reboot to stock recovery by pressing vol up + home + power and wipe data/cache and flash the firmware again, once flashing the firmware is completed enter download mode and check if current binary and system status has turned to official. If not repeat the process from step j.

yes, you can get the KNOX to 0 whenever you want (there is nothing like hardware fuse). i have done that thrice
just download the bootloader file and the original firmware.

thank you a lot but i have another question after i ran a boot.tar from firmware.obi my phone is stuck on the boot logo what can i do to move on and is it safe if i boot the files u sent me with the current state of my phone? also the download will be ages since the speed for non premium is 15kb/sec
To return the phone to a stock condition, you flash the ROM using Odin which will overwrite everything with the possible exception of the data partition.
If the phone is stuck at the boot logo, have you tried a factory reset from stock recovery?
You can try this link: http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-G930W8 or https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?exact=1&q=SM-G930W8
I don't know about download speeds for the above-two links as I have never used them before but other XDA members have.

i have tried going into the boot menu for factory reset but no luck the phone just resets,im starting the odin method right now with the thing you provided, also do i fill all the blanks (like the csc,ap and cp?) in odin?
After downloading the file from sammobile.com, unzip the file once (I use 7zip) to yield the necessary files. Each file will be preceded by the blank or slot location.

After downloading the file from sammobile.com, unzip the file once (I use 7zip) to yield the necessary files. Each file will be preceded by the blank or slot location.

so i managed to get this phone back to its original state when it was frp locked by downloading software from sammobile but it still remembers the google account... i will try to download a older version of android and run that to hopefully get the phone to 6.0.1 or whatever the original version was and try some older ways to frp unlock my phone because the older version will have less security patches. hopefully this works! thanks for the help so far .:good:
I'm not sure that you can downgrade once the phone has been updated.
Good luck.
same here, stuck without solutions. tried pretty much everything found on the internet carefully and taking the time to do it.. but still...
i still need help can someone find a way to unlock my phone?
One way to remove frp lock is to flash a custom recovery (like TWRP) for your phone and then use the wipe -> format data (and type 'yes' when asked, without the quotes). Restart the phone and let the system boot. After it boots you can procede to flash the stock rom
* P.S. 1: flashing a custom recovery will trigger KNOX so say bye bye to S Health if you are not planning to root the phone (so as to be able to edit the build prop and enable SHealth again) after flashing the stock rom again. Do not attemp to flash the stock recovery image on its own or your phone will be soft bricked and the dm-verity error will give you nightmares (happened twice to me, took me 6 hours to recover my phone). To get back the stock recovery you need to flash the stock rom again.
* P.S. 2: If your phone has the bootloader locked you will not be able to flash a custom recovery. In that case you can try to downgrade to 6.0 but there are not guarantees that it will work ok.

OREO(ODIN) Official Firmware Galaxy S8 G950F[G950FXXU1CRAP-G950FOXM1CRAP(PHE)]FEB13]

Hello.
I just installed the new "CRAP" [PHE] firmware on my S8 - G950F through ODIN, and everything went perfectly ... no problem.
For all those who want to try their luck, I'll leave LINK to download the file that I downloaded from SAMMOBILE, properly repaired by me to work on ODIN.
I used ODIN v3.12.10 and I installed Full Firmware with BL, AP, CP and CSC files (I did not use HOME_CSC because I wanted a clean installation), I configured the phone, then I hung up to "download" mode and once again through ODIN, I installed TWRP ... I had no problem, everything followed perfect.
The files are **.tar and each can be confirmed through the MD5's that I have joined for anyone who wants to prove the authenticity of each one.
As I said, I did everything without problems, I applied TWRP and Magisk without any error, but each one will be responsible for steps you take, I just make available the files I used on my S8 - SM G950F.
I hope they do a good flash in your S8's

Install HOME_CSC_OXM instead of CSC_OXM.

I did not do anything special! I simply installed it through Odin (I unchecked automatic reboot) without any problem.
Oppsss!
@trocopassu can you share the link to TWRP and Magisk that you used?
sorry for not fully understanding, but are you saying you flashed rom, then without rebooting you flashed twrp?
I know that if you do a full clean install you do not get oem-unlock for 7 days, I experienced it (you might want to warn people in the OP, just a thought).
This is because at boot you get prenormal status which you can see in download mode.

I understand everything you say, but I can only state what I did, and that I had no problem installing TWRP or doing the ROOT. I did all this in the normal way, without using any stratagem.
Each user is responsible for what he / she does on the phone, and I, like any other user who experiences, only share the results of my experiences. We are all aware of this, are we not?

No problem, buddy. What I did was install all the files in ODIN and flash the firmware. Then the phone rebooted normally and I proceeded to the complete setup. Then I put TWRP file in the ODIN (AP), unselected auto restart option and click START. When finished, I forced restart on the phone (Vol- & Bixby & Power), and then screen goes completely dark, I stopped pressing Vol- and pressed Vol + without leaving the Bixby and Power (Vol + & Bixby & Power) to enter into TWRP Recovery. I installed the Magisk and everything else that was needed. Works perfectly on my S8 G950F.
Ah right so you must have come from stock originally with oem already unlocked for over 7 days. Thx for explaining
Question: why is in pic 10 "soldie build 1.1" stated?...Don´t think you get that via sammobile...

Everything worked very fine like described in OP. Just do not allow system to boot after flashing oreo in odin and straight flash TWRP
EDIT: Not at all, after two reboots phone gone in never ending bootloop :/
thanks
used it and all work
thanks a lot
