Good Day Team,
I had successfully rooted my Samsung Grand Neo Plus using the steps on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/root-galaxy-grand-neo-plus-gt-i9060i-ds-t3070302; the problem was that a lot of the phone functions stopped working. The main thing that troubled me the most was that the usb tethering couldnt work, and also the mobile hotspot.
I decided to try returning to the original stock firmware, but i found something that could help me with the problem of rooting and having a fully functioning phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2690270. This soft bricked my phone.
I managed to get it working again with this rom https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24391638059057834; Its for Arabic region; and im pretty sure that that was the region for my phone was XSG. The problem i have now is that i dont have any service from my sim cards and the imei number is null. I tried entering this code *#197328640# but it doesnt work at all. Could you please help out.
EDIT: Checked the local store and got these:-
PDA: I9060IXXU0AOJ1
CSC:I9060IOJV0AOK1
PHONE:I9060IXXU0AOK2
REGION: XSG
COUNTRY: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
OS: KITKAT 4.4.4
These specs are the same as on this link.https://samsung-firmware.org/download/GALAXY%20GRAND%20Neo%20Plus/9ze6/XSG/I9060IXXU0AOJ1/I9060IOJV0AOK1/ I got a slow speed connection so the download ends up failing. Can anyone find another proper download site so that i can see if this could work for me.
Hello,
The best place to go is Sammobile .com or samsung-updates .com and use your model number in their search engine to find the stock firmware for your device, make sure you get the correct one for your region.
You can also ask for further help in the thread linked below.

Hi.,
I have Samsung A3 (SM-3000) from bought from mainland China and trying to add google play shop & services on the phone without success. Each time after installation, google services just gives error message and stops. I've already learned that this is due to chinese software on my phone and therefore it must be rooted.
I've tried several different rooting software already now without success and each time rooting is starting ok, but then after 15 secs some error message comes to phone and in chinese of course... Problem might be with locked bootloader, i guess?? How to unlock this damn phone, anyone?? Plz help.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I can't find any specific root methods for your device. You could try this, http://www.xda-developers.com/root/
Good luck!
Solved
Just to report my own solution.. I was able to find at least partial solution to my original problem with google play & services. I flashed with Odin new rom, details below
Model SM-A3000
Model name GALAXY A3
Country Hong Kong
Version Android 4.4.4
Changelist 307561
Build date Thu, 26 Feb 2015 09:47:29 +0000
Product code TGY
PDA A3000ZHU1AOB1
After flashing resetting the phone with stock recovery and reboot. It used to have only 3 languages, chinese, english & korean, now i have all the languages, all google apps and everything is same as phone was purchased from EU or so. And those Baidu, weibo etc. are missing. Me so happy...
and yes, if you plan to do this as well, please remember to take backups before you start the process. I didn't...
Glad you got it working!

Hello to everyone,
I ve bought a samsung galaxy s6 G920f from bulgaria , where i live. This model had the firmware with (BGL), 5.1.1 (G920FXXU2COH2_G920FOXX2COH2_BGL) . I changed the firmware to a newer one , from france . I downloaded the (G920FXXU3COI9_G920FOXA3COI9_G920FXXU3COI9) firmware from sammobile, i used odin and no problem.
BUT i wanted after that to return to the initial firmware, the BGL one , which is writen in the second line. But i got a BIG BIG fail on ODIN after "NAND write start" stage.
Also i couldnt manually install the BGL through smart switch , using S/N and model number, again i saw fail notification
I had my phone rooted with this (S6-UniBase_BOG8_v2) but now the problem exists even if the stock firm. from france in on my phone.
Any help?

Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
You would have better luck if you went Sammobile.com, samsung-updates.com or galaxys5update.com. You will need to use your model number and possibly the specific build number that you are looking for.
Hope this helps, good luck.

OK, there are dozens of solutions to rooting a Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 phone on the web, but none of them have worked for me.
The problem seems to be that the solutions are too "old" and don't take into account new firmware updates. Or the solutions are for different variants of the phone, there seems to be so many.
So, my particular phone is:
AP: J320FNXXUOAPK2 (PDA Version)
CP: J320FNXXUOAPK1 (Phone Version)
CSC: J320FNOXX0APK1 (CSC Version)
The OS is Lollipop 5.1.1
Does anyone know how to root this EXACT MODEL of phone?
Also, I have been unable to find a working version of TWRP for this model, so if you know of one I would very much appreciate a link to it.
Cheers
