I need some help troubleshooting battery drain - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone help me? I'm getting huge battery drains sometimes but can't find what causes them. My oneplus one actualy suffers from it for as long as I can remember using Sultan's rom. I'm now using the latest version of the rom and kernel, no exposed etc.
The problem seems to be that the phone stays active while the screen is off, but I can't find what's causing these wakelocks.
If I leave my phone when I go sleeping (flight mode), the battery is sometimes even completely dead when I wake up.
Today I had the drain again. I charged my oneplus, put it in flight mode, and when I looked again, the battery had been drained a lot. I took several screenshots from BetterBatteryStats etc. Could someone pleas take a look and try to find what the problem is? I've put the screenshots zipped in attachment.
Thanks

[Q] Battery is dying multiple times a day, need help!

Hello everybody!
My HTC Sensation is acting kind of weird the last few weeks.
It all began when i flashed CM 9 on it. It worked great, but pressing both the volume button would cause it to crash, so i flashed CM10 (kang) to it.
Now what happened at CM9 already was that it would just turn itself off at some points. During browsing, or taking a picture, Or just sitting in my pocket.
I had a almost full battery at that time(about 70%+) and it just went dead, reboot would give me 1% left. In CM10 the same problem happens. This time i took screenshots of the battery management screen, i included them in the attachments.
I wiped battery stats even tough it is a myth but could always try it. Did not fixed this.
Now the funny thing is when i reboot the device and it says it has only 25% left of charge. It reboots and BAM i have 75%, Reboot it once more and i lost 10%, rebooted again and it kind of stabilized. Now i have it on the charger and i am watching it, the LED on top stays on orange for about 2 seconds, then turns to screen for 1 second and then it turns of. then it just cycles trough the same again.
I hope i am making myself a bit clear about this and i will answer all questions i might have left out that are important.
Please help me because i cannot trust this phone anymore, it dies without warning and i have to boot it to find myself stranded with 1% left (which ironically can last for hours if the phone doesn't die).
PS. I included 3 screenshots. The first 2 are from when it died 2 times, as you can see the dips.
The last one is when i rebooted it and it gained allot of percentage.
Thanks in advanced
Skippy
Have you checked to see it if you have any wake locks? You can check with better battery stats apk. Also might be time for a new battery. You can get a good extended battery like anker for under 20 dollars,. My stock battery life was so bad, changed it to extended battery now it's really made a difference!
Hi,
I recommend you to see if you have any wakeclocks (Check via BetterBatteryStats)
You might have a bad flash. Check MD5 of ROM/Kernel
Check your running applications.
Let your newly installed ROM settle down for a few battery cycles.
But in your case, maybe a new battery?
I moved before few days from stock ROM to Bruces CM10 from 14.11. and have battery problems too. It drains to fast ROM is pretty stable, but with this battery life, I can hardly use it... Now I am on battery only for 10h 26min, display was ON for only 1h 55min and I am on 17% with battery... Something is bad

I have same probleme. I move from stock Rom to 11.11Bruce CM10 then upgraded to 14.11 but my battery life now very bad. I could reach up to 30h battery without charging with stock. In addition to that, I realized that the battery level could be significantly different from one boot to another : Phone show 41%, I reboot then it show 57%...
Need help but can't report on bruce thread.

It´s the same for me too... Battery skips on different values after reboot... For example when I am charging and battery is on about 90%, I do reboot and after that phone is on 100% battery... Weird...

Unidentifiable Battery Drain

Evening XDA
My Nexus 5 is losing about 10% battery/hour and I am unable to identify the cause.
The battery software identifies the cause as "miscellaneous" and betterbatterystats shows no unusual activity.
I have ensured WiFi scanning is off, I have also rebooted into safe mode with airplane mode on and still the battery drains.
A factory reset has not cured the problem.
The top of the phone is a little warm indicating there is some activity taking place.
Also worth noting that the CPU states in betterbatterystats indicates the the phone is in deep sleep over 90% of the time.
This started 2 nights ago, I can see no app updates and have not updated the ROM in this time.
Any ideas or suggestion on what I could try next?
How old is your battery? A few days before my original battery crapped out, it was draining like crazy.
You could also try uninstalling Facebook, that helped battery peformance for me

Serious battery drain.

Hello everyone.
First of all, I'm sorry if I wasn't supposed to open a new thread. I've been searching all day, but couldn't find anything.
Here's the problem.
The device drains battery without any usage. almost 10% every hour.
I did install StryFlex LP ROM first and bought a new battery as well, so I thought maybe that ROM has a bug, but then I've flashed latest stock ROM and it's the same in the stock too.
I didn't install any app, didn't change anything in the settings, I've even used Airplane Mode, but no chance.
I've installed CPU Spy, it says the device is +95% on Deep Sleep!
But there is something strange. When I touched the upper side of the screen, I felt it's kinda warm. So I don't really know what's going on.
I've even fully discharged the battery and recharged it, but I don't think it's a battery issue, because the old battery has the same problem, but just worse.
Right now I'm on stock. 2h 12m on battery with 81% battery left. Screen has the most usage with 40%, with only 7 minutes time on! Cell standby 17% and Phone idle 12%.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.
So no one knows any way!
I really don't understand what could be the problem; however I can confirm that the upper side of the screen is a little hot when the device is idle and on Airplane Mode.
The back camera doesn't work, could it use the power somehow?
I've installed CPU Temp app. It shows that when the device is on idle, CPU frequency goes all the way up! While CPU Spy says the device is deep sleeping!
I don't really know what to do. I wanted to disassemble the device so I could disconnect the back camera, but I didn't have the right screwdriver.
If you think it might help, please tell me, I will do it.

confused on battery life

I'm running the latest 7.0 Nougat on my Note 5 just as a background if anyone asks.
I can't tell if I have battery issues or not but I'm trying to track it. I took the follow screen shots. The two you see where my battery is around 8% and then the recent one is from a short time ago. Basically I let my battery drain completely to recalibrate it, charged up to 100 and am now using it. Now I feel it's still off. Can anyone determine from my pictures what's going on or if my battery life seems off? Thank you in advance for your help.

Big Overnight Battery Drain

The first screenshot is my battery life and as you can see Doze was applied but it still drained 10% in 8 hours. In the second screenshot of Better Battery Stats, it shows I have a lot of the phone being awake while the screen is off.
How can I figure out what is causing it to be awake and fix it?
Please let me know if you need other sections of battery stats or anything. Thanks

same things , im on on 10.3. it was pretty good during fresh install like 2 % in 6-7 hr. now 10% overnight drain everything off
PlusBeat installed? Had the same issue. No drain with it under 9, high drain under 10. BBS did not show this app. Found it only after freezing one app after another.
I really can't understand how you guys end up with these drains. Since I rooted I've taken about 7 updates to 10.0.2 , never wiped my phone and never encounter that type of idle drain. Check my screenshot it shows 0% drain in 6hrs with only 10% deep sleep which makes no sense at all. What's crazy is im trying to perform a battery test to get to 10hrs SOT with regular use but my uptime won't be accounted for in the battery menu because it starts calculating after you lose one percent. Thus the discrepancy in the screenshots
Some app is preventing your device from going into deep sleep. Facebook was the culprit for me.
Do you have a custom kernel installed? Something changed in a recent update & there's a service that goes haywire if you have a custom kernel & keeps one CPU core at 100% constantly. I found it in system logs as "vendor.oneplus.hardware.brain". My idle drain was over 4%/hr till I figured it out. See this post for how to stop it:
