Hey guys, I had a few apps to which I had granted permission, but the permissions granted have disappeared.
My phone's unlocked bootloader causes it to freeze, and this time, after I rebooted, 3 apps which happen to start at boot asked for su permission. The rest didn't, and they don't show up in super su list anymore. Even when I start them, they don't ask, but still work.

I have rooted my phone with Suoer1click and have the SU icon. Then I installed the Barnicle Wi/Fi thether program. I ran the Barnicle program and it stops saying it does not have SU permission. How do i go about granting it permission? I thought the SU would do this automatically.
Normally SU should ask you automatically if you want to give the app the permission...have you already tried it after restarting your phone?

I get this every once in a while. I have seen it being a simple communication thing, where a reboot clears it. But I have also had app's be bad from the market and not communicate. I fixed it by getting the app on applanet, it was probably in an update that broke it. Also go into SU and check all the settings to make sure it allows stuff and give notification.
Can Anybody help ?

So I'm running CM 7.1 stable with Matr1x 8.0 cfs and I went to turn on my tethering yesterday and I got a toast notification saying I was unable to start tethering due to an inability to gain root access. As of a few minutes ago, I am unable to gain root access with titanium backup, wireless tether, or the terminal emulator.
Has anyone ever seen something like this, or know what may be wrong?
Thanks in advance

I tried updating from within SU and the prompt showed up, I accepted, and I got a toast saying that Superuser had been granted SU permissions. Then the update failed from lack of root privileges. Titanium Backup and the terminal are still not able to gain access

I already tried that. No dice.
Im not sure why, but Im not getting prompted for apps that require superuser permissions. I have to go into the superuser app, close it, and then sometimes it works. I used sparkyroot while at .17, then backed up root with voodoo, then installed .26. Anyone else having issues with superuser?
Nope I rooted and it pops up fine. Maybe Clear Data on Superuser?
I had the issue right after I first rooted. a reboot fixed it.
Are you trying to get it to prompt each and every time a particular app requests root so you know what's going on?
If so, open superuser, find the app using root and delete it. What worked for me is to next reboot device. The next time this app requests root, make sure you don't allow it to remember your choice. It should then prompt each and every time thereafter.
No, I was trying to get the prompt to come up on new apps so I could access root functions. I used an app that installs busybox and that fixed it.
Hi
i have rooted my phone and installed super user and give permission ALLOW to a specific app, now i just unistalled the superuser app and didnt unroot the phone
is this keep the app that i allowed in first place with rooted permision or should always keep the super user installed so that apps have the root acces
thank you
I unrooted my samsung galxy note 2 using the super user app and then it wont restart, neither it would charge
Well first you need to understand that the superuser app is only used to manage superuser permissions that means prevents an app from getting su rights untilled you allow an app. This also means that superuser app donot have anything to do with root. So without the presence of superuser app, every app can get such rights until you unroot your phone. But if you unrooted your phone with the superuser app and then uninstalled the superuser app all apps will be denied such rights as your phone is not rooted.
Unrooting may leave you in a bootloop so first take a backup of your firmware just in case you brick your phone.

Hey there! I have a question
What happen if i uninstall SuperUser? will I lose my root access or will my phone bricked?
If you want to know why I ask a question like that is because I've been trying to replace kingroot with superuser and I'm using this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...place-kingroot-superuser-guide-t3251013/page1
So far nothing wrong, the script work! after the terminal emulator, superuser lunch and after that i press home and then realise that my superuser app icon isn't at my homescreen, so I reboot then it still doesn't do anything so I updated superuser using Google playstore and then still nothing.
I decided to check root access. I still have my root.
Then i go to settings - apps and i try to search for superuser to see if its installed or not, it's there i couldn't figure it out. I try my best to find the answer
Even though i try my best to open superuser, it won't let me.
Help me please
Thanks [emoji2]
