Hi
i have rooted my phone and installed super user and give permission ALLOW to a specific app, now i just unistalled the superuser app and didnt unroot the phone
is this keep the app that i allowed in first place with rooted permision or should always keep the super user installed so that apps have the root acces
thank you
I unrooted my samsung galxy note 2 using the super user app and then it wont restart, neither it would charge
Well first you need to understand that the superuser app is only used to manage superuser permissions that means prevents an app from getting su rights untilled you allow an app. This also means that superuser app donot have anything to do with root. So without the presence of superuser app, every app can get such rights until you unroot your phone. But if you unrooted your phone with the superuser app and then uninstalled the superuser app all apps will be denied such rights as your phone is not rooted.
Unrooting may leave you in a bootloop so first take a backup of your firmware just in case you brick your phone.

i just rooted my phone using motochopper. and am trying to use ltm launcher. every time i open it, it says root context not able to get permission.
and then when i go to the superuser, it says the superuser binary (su) must be updated. and it ask if i want to recovery install or just install, but none of it works. i even downloaded supersu from chainfire and it says there is no su binary installed. so i need help getting root permission to apps so i can get lmt launcher to work.
i read an old post with they guy with the same problem and u told him to flash it with something but i am not really sure how to do that. so if u can kind of explain how to do that.
thanks

Just installing the super user app from play store doesn't root your phone.
SuperUser app only manages root permissions. It itself does not root the phone. Head over to your xda section and read there how to root your phone .

Like I've said I have already rooted my phone using motochopper. That's not the problem. The problem is not getting super user updated

Did you follow the official rooting procedure as given in your xda forum? Because if your phone is rooted then you won't face any problem related to SuperUser app and updating binary and all these stuffs.
I've had the same problem as listed above.
I have some questions about root.. I have searched for the questions below but i didn't get my answer.
1. Uninstallation of superuser cannot effect to the root? (Just confirming)
2. After uninstalling superuser will i be able to install more root needed apps? apps data will automatically install in their respective place just without any superuser permission..????
3. After unrooting phone root needed apps (which are installed) will work fine or not? and will i be able to uninstall those root apps?
Answer me plz..
Thank You.

Answers:-
1. Uninstalling of superuser with clean Unroot will Remove Root Binary from System and will effect Root, as without SU app you cant play with Root..
2. No, You Can't.
3. No they won't Function. You can uninstall Root apps if they are in System Folder other you will be able to uninstall.
Thankyou,

But tell me one more thing what superuser does.. i think superuser app only gives the permission to the root apps to install something in root area.. right? superuser app work is just to allow or deny the permission to the app right..?
So if i don't unroot my phone and if i just simply remove superuser app then i still should be able to install root apps in the root? because my phone is rooted.. and i have just removed superuser app which gives permission only.
I think superuser only gives the permission to the app SO apps will be intall in the root just without any permission of superuser?? this is what superuser does ONLY?
I think i am misunderstanding something about superuser.. Correct me please if i am wrong.. :good:

Yes,
It gives permissions to access, modify your Root area[Restricted when you are Non-Rooted].
No,
Removing SU app will remove permissions with It. So after that you cant use those Rooted app which you gave Permissions when u had SU App.
Note:- Without any SU app you can't Play your System Files..
nor your rooted apps will work..

S4 mk2 i337 soft bricked...
This is the link I started dealing with:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758
Problem is, I uninstalled a system file or two...or 15...and now the phone will start up, but no apps show up, just black screen. I can navigate still and work around it, but what i CAN'T do is give permission to that batch file once it recognizes the phone.
Obviously, I didn't know what I was doing, so I didn't realize that unrooting it wouldn't solve the problem, so I need to root, and then somehow get my system files back in place. Titanium Backup says my back up doesn't exist...pretty frustrated, I've spent 10+ hours on this site and some others trying to get back in, so I apologize upfront for possibly missing a post elsewhere

I have a certain app that I need to use that will not run on a rooted device. My root app is SuperSU, and by disabling superuser in the settings the app will run, but I can't make it work without disabling it. It doesn't even give me a prompt to ask for root permission - the app must just be looking somewhere for the su binary or something.
Is there a way to make an app think that a device is unrooted without disabling root access?

Xposed framework with Root Cloak module. It doesn't always work, but it often does, so give that a try.
I tried to root my device "Infinix Hot" Which apparently has the same build as HTC devices using KingoRoot
5 min after i plugged my device to my pc and had usb debugging on and kingoroot installing drivers it displayed a message "Root success"
But i noticed that my device didn't reboot during the process , which goes against what i have read..........
So i rebooted it manually , and now i have an app called "KingoUser" that i can only disable but not uninstall even if i factory reset( I tried ) ....... But with no root access
I tried many root checking apps and they all displayed that i didn't have root access but i have SU installed
Can someone explain what is going on please?
And can someone please tell me if i can remove this "KingoUser"
Which doesn't appear to have any uses
When i open it all what's there is just a white page with only links to Kingo Websites

Try downloading ES file browser and enable root feature, see if you have root...
You never even get a toast notification from kinguser asking if you want to grant permissions??

I did try several apps from the playstore that require root access like titanium backup ...
And they just keep trying to ask for root access for sometime then display a message "Failed" without any reaction from the "KingoUser" App
Anyway ~ i tried another root program called Vroot ( Or iRoot ) and this time root actually worked and installed superuser that ask for root permission for each program ( Allow of deny dialogue ) And titanium backup has root access now
But the app called "KingoUser" Cant be uninstalled even after doing several factory reset ( Without loosing root status )
I currently have it disabled but i want to permanently remove it cuz it's useless
One more think , i disabled the "superuser" app that automatically installed after the root process and installed the newer version from the play store that works perfectly and it updated my su binary it seems
So is it safe for me to completely remove the outdated superuser app the came with iRoot ? ( Cuz it wont update by itself and i cant find and option to update ) ? And how do i remove it ( Same problem with "KingoUser" )

yeh it's safe to remove, go with any root file explorer to system/app and delete it!
You may also try first freezing that app and then uninstalling it
