Google Play Screen Recording problem - Honor 6, 6 Plus Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
When recording a game with Google Play, the video is created, has the right size (about 50 Mb for a 10 second HD video) but does not play on my phone and cannot play it on PC either. (no matter what player)
Seems like as if the phone does not allow access to the camera to record the screen or so.
Anyone else?

[Q] Force low FPS to make time-lapse videos

Hi!
I used to be a lurker around here (only looked, never posted), but now I'm a proud noob =D
My problem is: I have a Moto Milestone, and tried to use it as a time-lapse camera for driving, but the minimum time between frames I could get was 5 seconds, and the resulting video was just bad (and any app crashed after a few frames). Ideally it should be 1-2 seconds between frames. I was wondering if there could be a way to force lower FPS on the video camera to make the low-fps video. Of course the video would be sped-up later to get the nice time-lapse effect.
Is it possible?

Time shift video recorder

Hi
I'm looking for a video recorder app that time shifts, ie it videos a continous maybe 10 min loop and then when the record button is pressed it saves maybe the previous minute, this would enable you to catch scenes such as whales breaching or a car crash at the races etc. (the Highway Police have a similar system so when they turn the lights and siren on the previous 30 seconds of the video is captured so they have evidence of the offence.), does one exist or any ideas on how to achieve a similar result
Thanks
Keith
Cool idea! And if anyone is at this, Im interested in an app that captures high fps videos. Like slow motion
search for 'blackbox' on the play store.
Blackbox
Thanks I've downloaded blackbox and will have a play with it.

Android app which allows to slow-motion given timeframe, but play the rest normally

Long title, but that's what I'm looking for, but I've failed so far to find.
Basically, my G3 can record 120 FPS videos, but sometimes I don't want the whole clip to be in 120 FPS, or the other end doesn't have a slow motion video player to view the clip properly.
I want a video editor that allows me to select, say, 10 seconds of a 1 minute (120fps) clip, and play it in slow motion, but the rest at "normal speed". I've heard that the iphone default video editor already allows this, which enrages me more.
I've searched quite a lot and couldn't find anything like that, for Android. Does anyone knows?

Video not recording in HD

I am currently running stock unrooted ROM 32.1.A.1.185 with unlocked bootloader. The video is currently to record in Full HD at 30 fps. When I inspect the details it says 1920x1080 but the file size does not look right. A 7 second video is around 15 MB or so. When I upload the video to Facebook and YouTube it's not recognised as HD. YouTube reports the size as 360p!
Has anyone else had this issue? I have trawled around as well as I could and found nothing reported. Do I just have a faulty phone?
Thanks,
D.
Further findings:
If I upload a video by recording it through the FB app then the HD option is available when viewing. If I record the video outside FB, then share it through the FB app, the HD option is not available when viewing! Go figure...
thats very odd and I dont know any solution aside to reflash the stock firmware of your device
I havent tried with youtube but anywhere where ive uploaded a video recorded from my phone it shows as 1080p
Very strange indeed. It seems to be weirdly network connection dependent. If I watch the same YouTube video on my desktop, on wired network, the 1080p option is available. If I watch it on the same network, but WiFi, it's only showing 480p!
Very odd im not sure what could be causing this but i know of some similar odd issues where youtube wouldent load on wifi for me some time ago, this was with my xperia z2 and a reflash and reset of the device solved this.

What happened to SNAP MOVIE? Any recommended apps that can replace this feature?

I currently use my G6+ to do all my video recording work for my YouTube channel. I fell in love with the snap movie mode in the video camera options because it let me record snippets throughout the day and save them all into a short video file so later I can edit on my computer. I have searched and searched and cannot find an app in the play store that can do this. Almost all video apps can record and pause but the moment you close the app or go to home screen or screen off, the current video is automatically saved as a video file and next time you use the app it starts a new video. I don't want 70 different video clips to edit each day, I want an app that can start and stop at the press of a button and keep those recordings in the same video timeline until I am finished to where I can then save as a final video. I really would like to upgrade to the G7 or V35 but from what I understand the snap movie feature was removed.
My reason for using LG phones is the wide angle camera and Snap Movie.
Is it possible to get this feature back with a newer device? Anyone know of an app that can do what I am asking?
Thanks again for the help!
