[DEV] Marshmallow ota zip (do not flash!!!)

Somebody posted this at the Indian forum.
Hope you can make good use of it
It's for the Indian dualsim style
Posted it here for the dev's to take a look at it and create something for all pure and style owners to benefit.
If you do decide to flash it...I'm not responsible for the outcome.

Yep some skilled devs would need to make it work for 1575 it's possible of course.
Here is a mirror if someone does not like GDRIVE or if slow. Hopefully you don't mind OP

Not at all, just posted this here to hopefully get us a rooted flashable MM rom for pure and style. All we need now is some skilled dev's to do some of their magic. And I know we have some very skilled dev's around

Dude this is uploaded by me only.
It's dual sim variant ota.
Don't try on single sim.

Dude... I changed the OP not to flash it and that it is for the dev's
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Free mobile app
Flashing it on a single-sim version won't brick it. There are several people doing it because they want to get dual-sim working. I am currently making a backup and trying to flash it on a german 1572.
Like I said. I'm not responsible.
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Free mobile app
Downloading and backing up current rom.
Edit:
Getting this error: error executing updater binary in zip
Will take a closer look at this.
Like i mentioned, this rom is for the Indian dualsim version and probably won't work on other style/pure phones
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Free mobile app
And I repeat: It doesn't brick the device! It's the same like with the Moto X Play. You can also flash on a single sim device a dual sim rom.
Where did I mention anything about bricking?
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Oky to explain what changes for a single sim Version: you get a menu for dual sim, but the options change nothing.
Hi @alex1301. I am from Australia. I have a single Sim XT1572. Can you point me in the direction of how to flash the new Indian OTA zip going around? Was there any complications doing it on your European XT1572?
Also do you know what is the safe way to make a backup of my stock 5.1.1 rom in case I brick it and need to try and flash a back? I am familiar with Nexus phones but unsure how this works with Motorolas. Thanks!
The problem at the moment is that it doesn't flash correctly because it only patches existing files. We need to wait for someone who makes a backup of an updated factory resetted marshmallow rom.

Can this be solved by flashing v4tk's kernel?
Or is it not possible to gain root on M yet?
Thnx!

When going in settings>About device>model number its says SM-G920F but when going in download mode it says SM-G920A is there something wrong with my device also my private mode is not turning on it says FAILED TO ENABLE PRIVATE MODE. TRY AGAIN. My device is not rooted also. Is this Okay??
It was made fort SM-G920A (AT&T), but it's the same as 920f. Probably they the 920f software to get rid of AT&T software.
The specs are the same
Thanx tattoalex28 but why my private mode isnt working ?
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
I don't know that.but u can try to flash a 920A Sam original firmware with Odin. It's easy and maybe that solves the problem
Ok last thing i want to ask if i flash at & t firmware will my phone be locked or wil i be able to make calls by putting any sim. Sorry i am kinda noob
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
It will not. You will have some AT&T apps that's it
Thanx will flash now and tell you.
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
But remember if you flash it with odin you will void your warranty and your bit count 0 to 1 i think you need to go service centre and tell him your problem
Sent from my P2 using Tapatalk
It depends where deed he buy the phone. Maybe he boat the phone from someone ho de bloated it changing the software.
So what u guyz suggest should i flash at&t firmware or let it run like this
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
1st your phone is in warranty now
No
Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
I would . It's up to you. If it's not in warranty .

Xposed help.

Tried installing Xposed on my s6. Tried with flash fire and TWRP. And it causes me every time to get a DM-VERITY fail. And also when I do install it. It says latest framework version isn't installed. What do I do?

First thing when you flash twrp, flash dm-verify disabler. Find it in twrp thread in original android development.

Read carefully here

Ut doesn't provide dm-verify disabler as in S6 edge section. Just follow it's instruction if possible.

Well I tried to install that. But it tripped the DM-VERITY so now I'm just gonna flash stock firmware back on the phone so I don't lose data. And keep trying. I'm new at this whole thing. but I'm trying to learn. I could be messing everything up. Lol.

You're too fast lol. Ask in the respective thread how to handle the dm-verify. I haven't go thru in details but it works on stock kernel with s6 edge. For non edge need to use custom kernel to disable it?

I have been told there are websites to get an unlock code but i don't know what is the network the phone is locked on and on some of the articals it says it wouldn't even help.
Can so,someone please help me? what can I do???

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss
Apparently I do not see that update on my phone as of now

The update is for T-Mobile users using the T firmware. You are on the US Unlocked firmware.
I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?
