Hi guys, this is a very particular problem and it's annoying the hell out of me. Can't find any reference to it anywhere.
Phone was working flawlessly until a firmware update was pushed by Samsung, taking me to the APEQ firmware version. Since then, the phone will become unresponsive whenever this scenario happens:
Connected to bluetooth (BMW 3-Series, 2015)
On an ongoing phone call
A second call comes in, but I don't answer it. I don't reject it either, I just let it ring.
Phone freezes, Loses connection to the car. Original call drops. Will become unresponsive for several minutes, or outright reboot by itself.
I've noticed that the phone app itself seems to be slow to execute any action: Start a call, blank screen for 3-5 seconds. End a call: Phone app screen frozen, phone unresponsive for 3-5 seconds.
I haven't rooted my phone, but I've rooted all my android devices in the past, so I'm not a stranger to it.
Any suggestions? I'd like to avoid flashing a new ROM because of the hassle (I just don't have the time to fiddle with a new ROM) and my SD card is encrypted...
Thank you all
I have similar on Galaxy Note 4 and also Galaxy Edge after marshmallow update. If using bluetooth, cant answer next call even if first call is diconnected already. phone freezes, rings forever, cant answer thru phone (nothing shows up on screen even saying there is a call, not in call log either)-- phone will sometimes reboot or i have to pull battery to get it to stop ringing. I also never know who called because no record in call logs of the perpetually ringing call.

I've noticed that on every lollipop build I've tried, in getting phone call hang ups. Sometimes 5 seconds into a call, sometimes 30. It doesn't happen on speaker. I make a conscious effort to keep the phone away from my face so I don't accidentally hang up by touching anything. Am I the only person this is happening to? Anyone else? Anyone find the root of the problem? I've tried wiping and clean flashing all the custom Roms and nothing has fixed this problem.
Also noticing in not able to connect to 5g Wi-Fi either.
Several issues with this phone (LG G4 AT&T H810). Bought it used and I'm about ready to sell it (barely got 1 week of use with it). Previous phone was a google edition (HTC One M8) phone so the nexus experience is what I'm using to compare this phone against. Before I completely give up on this phone, I just wanted to see if others experience the same thing and perhaps have a fix/workaround.
I just setup the phone, so I'm coming from a factory reset. Here are the issues:
1) While driving, with google maps navigation in progress, I make a hands free call via my car's bluetooth system. As my HTC One would do, the entire screen will show the contact who I'm calling. With HTC One, at the end of the call, the phone will automatically return to the map navigation. With LG G4, if the phone conversation is long enough, the screen will time out and lock - therefore NOT going back to the map. Arg... Now I have to find the power button in the back and unlock the phone, and return to maps.
2) Every now and then (pretty frequent), when I make a call, I don't hear the dial tone over the cars bluetooth. When the other side of the call answers, sometimes it switches to the car's bluetooth, other times it stays with the phones internal speaker. This forces me to tap (might need to unlock the phone) the "bluetooth" button on the phone's screen. Once I do this, it immediately connects to the car's speaker.
3) Probably related to number 2 above. Every now and then a phone call comes in and it does not engage the car's bluetooth system. I have to push the bluetooth button on the phone to enable the car's bluetooth. Again, what used to be a hands free scenario now requires a tap (might need to unlock the phone).
thanks in advance for any responses.
Well, items 2 and 3 are due to bluetooth connection not sticking. Lots of people complaining about this.
So I was on my phone toady and all of a sudden the call seemed to transfer to my watch which was in another room, but obviously still connected to my phone over BT. The other caller hung up and called back as they thought I'd hung up. I answered on the phone and almost straight away the ongoing call went to the watch again. After going to the watch for a third time, I had to turn off BT on the phone to keep the call on the phone! Any ideas why this may have happened, and what I can do to prevent it happening again? I was under the impression that the device that initiated/took the call would be default device for the duration of that call.
Hello! I'm going to need some help on someone that might know more than I do.
Here's the challenge:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7 AT&T Unlocked (G930A)
Build: G930AUCS4BRA1 (latest)
This phone has two really hard to pin down issues that will surely make a challenge.
First one, is the microphone. Calling or receiving a call makes the person on the other end to hear themselves. It is not explained by the other person using speakers, since it happens 100% of the time, even testing it with the express instruction to not use a speaker.
What the hard-to-pin-down issue is? It doesn't happen with any other calling program. I can voice call from WhatsApp or from an app from my provider using Wi-Fi or 4G and the issue disappears. Only happens if I receive or make a call from the phone without using Internet.
Second one, is a new one that happens randomly. The phone freezes, shuts down and restarts in a loop, about 3 or 4 times, and then works normally. Happens about 2-3 times a day and started two days ago, without any physical damage as a cause.
What has been done to try to fix this issue?
Cleared cache
Phone reset
Installed updates (twice, one from 6.0 to 7.0, and then updated the build number), once by using Odin, and the other one to update from SD Card.
Nothing has fixed any of these issues.
Any ideas?
Good afternoon,
I have a T-Mobile Oneplus 7 Pro (had it for 2 weeks now), it is SIM unlocked at this time and I am waiting on the token from Oneplus which I should have this evening if the 7 day rule still applies.
Issues mostly started today and I have done everything except for a factory reset.
1) When I receive a phone call and answer it the phone is automatically on speaker instead of phone although the icon shows as phone. To fix during the call I switched to speaker then back to phone and it was fine. Next call in, same thing again. This just started today, prior to that it operated normally
2) Related to #1, when connected to the Bluetooth in my truck and a call comes in instead of being on Bluetooth like it had been it will be on phone (ear piece) setting. Again to correct during call I switched to phone then back to Bluetooth and works correctly, again until the next call comes in. This issue started today, prior to that it operated normally
3) No matter what I have my ring volume set at the phone will always ring very quietly, most of the time I will not hear it and miss calls due to this. I know the speaker is fine as I can set it to as loud as it'll go and you can definitely hear it as well as videos, but no matter what it keeps doing the low volume ring. This started last night, prior to that it operated normally
4) Certain apps when opening freeze and end up having to force close the app. I will attempt a second time opening and almost always the same thing happens again. I have uninstalled/re-installed these apps and that changes nothing. I also have a Oneplus 6t and a Note 9, both have exact same apps and they work flawlessly on them. This started yesterday, prior to that it operated normally
5) My wife also has the 7 pro and has the issue with #4 above as well. Thankfully thus far that is all she is experiencing with it. Her issue began about 3-5 days ago.
I am not certain what the issue is, but if someone has any ideas let me know as I am not changing this to international version until I know if the phone itself has an issue.
Thanks!
I had the Bluetooth speaker issue both ways as you explained. I had my Galaxy watch paired and allowed to receive calls I shut that off and seems to have fixed it for me.

I have had the issue with #1 on the T-Mobile version few times. I switched to the international version and didn't have it at all. Switched back to the T-Mobile version last night and the first incoming call that I answered was that way. I think this is an issue with the T-Mobile version and it seems sporadic, at least on mine. Most likely gonna be switching back to the international version until I decide to to a JOD upgrade sometime down the road, plus the camera is so much better on the international version.
I have issue #2, like mikeb85, I also have a galaxy watch paired. I'll see if his solution fixes mine as well. Issue #4 for me seems to be related to restoring certain apps via OnePlus switch in my case. A fresh install of those apps (usually ones requiring permissions allowed by a pop-up) fixed that for me
Might be a good idea to just do a full factory reset just for safe measure. If it's still not working right, I would warranty a replacement.
I know it sounds like a cop out, but the only issue I'm experiencing is just the Ghost touching in the top right of the device.
Other than that, I just reboot and it's all good.
