Hello! I need to flash my brother's cellphone, which is stuck on the droid logo (the red eye). He got it from a friend who bought it in the U.S., so he doesn't remember which droid razr it is. I need to get the approppriate files so I can recover it. Where can I get that information? Thanks!
If you upload a picture of the razor I will know witch one it is and then I can give you link for proper firmware and drivers also you will need rsd lite to flash the razor.
Have you tried Wikipedia? Also, the model number is on the back of the phone.

If you have an Asia Xoom 3G Head to shell9.wordpress.com
There's a guide there that should help you out.
If your xoom is the wifi version then you can safely follow the US guides. There is no hardware difference on the wifi version. So there is nothing to worry about.

Ok, I have a Motorola Razr HD LTE from Rogers Canada and currently has ICS 4.0.4 but I have been waiting for the jelly been 4.1.2 update released by Motorola since February 2013 and waited 7 months and still no up date so I contacted Motorola and they gave me some steps to follow but none worked so I came to the xdadevelopers forms to see if I can manually up date it. I got the firmware and RSD Lite 6.0 tool but need some help on how to go about and flash it as I have not done it this way before.
It is done
I have been fiddling with my phone all night and RSD Lite 6.0 and with no luck so this morning read the replies on this post where I got the Rogers Razr firmware for my phone here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032284 and needed to put my phone in fastboot mode then edit the .xml and remove the first line has the word "getvar" in it and you have to delete it plus the 2 lines after it, then save, update the zip file with the new .xml file, then I flashed it and It went with out any issues :good:
so I rooted my phone and then had to unroot it because I couldn't use isis, I used RSD lite to put the latest firmware 12.15.15, that I downloaded form Motorola firmwares but the ncfee.access.xml doesn't have the right stuff in there all it say is the instructions and how to write the access. and I cannot find a way to edit the system.img and just edit the file myself. im getting the error isis cannot access the secure element. and does anyone know how to unlock the boot loader, I need a code but the Motorola websites says my phone doesn't qualify. your help is appreciated and this is the site I always got to tho this is the first time im posting . I have droid ultra.

You CANNOT unlock the bootloader on Ultra, only on Developer Edition Maxx and X. Reflash stock firmware using RSD Lite, clearly something went wrong the first time around. That or try a factory reset. DON'T try to mess with the stock firmware you are flashing, it sounds like that is what you are trying to do, that will cause problems
iYachter99. I can't its says I canT downgrade when I try RDS lite to put stock firmware
well turns out it was an isis issue that they had to manually change something , and I got a new sim card its all working now im on 4.4
I have the Motorola Razr HD LTE (Canadian on Rogers wireless)
Basically, this was my phone and I got 2 of them. I rooted both only used one as my actual phone the other as a backup (and also to play around with, flash custom roms and basically learn/fail/succeed as it was my first time rooting) as luck would have it my phone at the time broke and was and has been replaced with probably 15 devices since then...
I have always loved and kept this phone around - the HDMI output was always a favourite feature of mine (Chromecast has made this much easier on my Nvidia Shield TV (running 5.1.1 not AndroidTV obviously)
Sorry for the rambling I will get to the point...
My device is the XT925
Android Version 4.2.2
Baseband Version: VANQUISH_U_BP_100700.220.65.33P
Kernel Version:
3.0.93-gca4c45c
[email protected] #1
CyanogenMod version: 10.1.3-xt925
Build number: cm_xt925-userdebud 4.2.2 JDQ39E
eng.jenkins.20130923.21422 test-keys
I used the motorola website to get my bootloader unlocked
I believe somewhere down the line my IMEI was erased and it currently displays 0 - I do have my IMEI visible under my sim tray slot and also on the original box.
I would basically like to return my device to stock - I have spent the past 2 years occasionally checking here and other sites looking for stock and believe i was able to download it today from firmware.center
I downloaded
7.7.1Q-144_VQL_S3-49_USERSIGNED_CANADA_SIGNCanadaIRDUnlk_USAVANQURGRCANA005.0R_CFC_fastboot.xml.zip
I only have access to a Mac or Ubuntu 15.10
The device ALWAYS restarts to the AP FASTBOOT SCREEN whenever the battery dies or I restart the device
My recovery is CWM 6.0.4.4
Can anyone tell me if i am looking in the right place?
I am going in the right direction?
is the firmware i downloaded the correct one i should be using so i don't brick my phone?
is there anything i didnt include in this post that is needed to help me?
THANK YOU to anyone who replies to me

Hello Everyone,
I'm in need of help. I rooted my device XT 1096 and it got soft-bricked. I was able to get it working again. While it updated automatically to Lolipop, it died. Its now dead/ hard-bricked .
I tried doing the blankflash but I think my model's blank flash files aren't available yet. I took it to the market and they said it needs to be fixed with Jtag.
They have several Jtag boxes of different companies, but none of them supports my model. So I was hoping if anyone can help me find either
1) the right Blank flash files for my model (Moto X XT 1096)
or
2 ) The Dll file for the Jtag for my model. Please mention the Jtag box as well to use for that dll file.
Thank you
