Buy a Moto X used but gave it me with the OTA of Brazil, came with Lollipop 5.0.2 of the retail of brazil but not working front camera, then flashing a Custom Rom of Paranoid 5.1.1 thinking that is would the camera but still does not respond, do not see the option change rear camera to front
Pro last attempt to clean the cache from the recovery but does not work

So i am new to this redmi 2 thread and the device as i was on samsung j5 ...same soc just better camera , screen, and 0.5 gb more ram. Since the development sucked there (we do not have a stable cm 13 ..despite the stock rom updated to 6.0) i decided to exchange my device with my mother's. And i want to go to a nougat based rom from miui 8 global version kitkat. My requirements are..stable rom nougat based rom with volte (jio!!) And customisation and fluidity...recommend a kernel also. So how should i go from miui 8 non rooted with stock recovery to nougat...i just want links for compatible twrp and whether i need to update to lollipop bootloader to run latest rom. And i definitely want your valuable opinions about roms.

If you want someone to make a ROM for that device then you will have to buy another device like yours and donate it to a developer so he can build the ROM, developers can't build ROMs for devices unless they have the device on hand. If they don't have the device they can't build ROMs for it. If a developer already on owned that device then there would already be ROMs for it, since there are no ROMs for your device then that means no developers have it.
If you can't donate a device to a developer to build a ROM for it then you'll have to learn to do it yourself.

Do some Google searching to see if the stock source code is available for your specific device model number, if it is not available to the public, ROMs can not be built for the device.

This device is 3 years old, if there isn't a ROM by now then obviously no developers own this device, otherwise, they would have already built the ROM.

You won't find anyone to do it for you unless you buy another device like yours and donate it to someone that is willing to build it for you, they can't build a ROM without having the device on hand to test what they build before releasing it.
You will probably get a ROM sooner if you learn to do it yourself, otherwise, you will probably never get a ROM.

So, the two of you are basically saying that you don't really want to learn anything.
You are saying that you would rather have someone else that does know how to build a ROM to take the time, time that they probably can't afford to lose, out of their day and devote that time to building a ROM for your convenience and for a device that they probably don't even own?
Read my post above, none of the developers that know how to build ROMs have this device. If they did, there would already be ROMs for your device. Developers do not build for devices that they do not own or do not have in their own personal possession.
This means, if you want a developer to build a ROM for this device model number, you will have to go buy another one of these devices then find a developer that is willing to build a ROM for you and then donate that extra device to the developer so they can build a working ROM for that device. They will need the extra device because they will need the device in their own hands to test the ROM as it is being built so they can work out the bugs and issues to get a stable ROM.
If you cannot afford to buy an extra device and send that device to a developer or if you just refuse to donate a device to a developer, then you need to get to work doing your own research on how to build ROMs so you can learn how to do it yourself. Otherwise, be prepared to never have a ROM for your device.

Hey, I've got a Moto G 1st Gen 8GB (no idea what the XT number is) with Android 7.1 via AospExtended-v4.4-OFFICIAL - bought it like this. Now I've got another Moto G 1st Gen, this time 16 GB XT1032, which runs Android 5.1 and I would like to somehow get the newest version of Android possible on this one. well there is some remarkable progress in the few android 8 ROm development. however it is still under development and not all areas are as stable as most of the already stable android 7 ROMs. so if you dont mind frequently patching bugs, then go for android 8 ROMs. if you want stable install and forget worrying ROM then choose a android 7 nougat ROM.
the way to install custom ROM is as follows;
1) you need motorola drivers downloaded.
2) fastboot/adb platform tools downloaded
3) unlock bootloader, by following instructions in motorola site
4) install latest TWRP custom recovery
5) flash ROM of your choice
detailed steps are quiet difficult to ensemble, but you get all the info you need under general forum; https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general
