Documentation of MTC_RK3188_REV0.3 board? - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Some one have documaentation of MTC_RK3188_REV0.3 board?
I buy a unit without any Micro SD card slot, the main board have connection for SD and GPS sd slots, I can made a SD boards
Right now I map the connectors pin to a board pins, but I need to know wich pin correspond to wich signal for SD card.
Connectors:

Or if some one have a similar unit and can be map the pins of the connector to a SD card slot I appreciate.

This looks like a fun hackaday post. It's almost making me want to pull my unit to take a few photos for future study.
I'm interested in the amp equipment. The preamp is weak in my RK3188. They claim 45wX4 or whatever but their own specs are that that's max but you begin to clip and introduce noise at only 16w! That's "12" on the volume dial.
It looks like the RCA outputs are low line outputs but they have them going to headrest tvs in the pictorial. I'm going to assume I can just take those and run them to a proper amp and get better sound quality out of this system.
Anyway, it'd be nice to know what electronics are doing the lifting. Right now if I crank it above about 12 I start to notice significant signal degradation in the highs. They get all fuzzy and just sound yukky.

Do you happen to know at what volume the RCAs start to clip ?

Not sure. Is suspect they don't the high output is a function of the internal amp. I believe if you use the preamp outputs you bypass all of that.
I dug a little deeper and my biggest issue WAS bluetooth. If I used AirPlay/DLNA Receiver to stream over wifi the majority of the distortion goes away.
It's back to acceptable.

Ok thanks. Im using an external USB DAC with Neutron audio player (sounds absolutely awesome) with spdif out to my DSP but wanted to level-match the RCA outouts of the HU in my MiniDSP so Bluetooth telephone and FM Radio sounds as loud as the DAC... Best thing would be to be able to hear every single sounds of the Head Unit on the USB DAC, but so far only apps that use their own USB drivers are working.. (Neutron, USB Audio Player Pro, Hiby, Denon, etc)
I think its a Kernel issue.. USB Audio seems to be disabled on it. ?

Some news?
You have found the schematics or other documentation?

car aux

is there an accessory that will connect the phone to the car using the cars charger spot and the phones 3.5 mm ?
i dont have an aux input in the car, so im wondering if there is a workaround using the car charger type accessory
A car charger can not send audio to your stereo.(period)
You would be able to use an FM transmitter, but the quality of the output will be kind of sketchy. It's all about how much the sacrifice in quality compares to the enjoyment the listening will bring.

is there an aux input in the back of your radio? thats what i had to do? as far as fm transmitters i really didn't like the sound quality
if you have a tape player, you can get an adapter that will use the 3.5mm jack but the other end is shaped like a cassette tape, and will feed tunes through the head
it looks like this

IF they enable the built in fm it's going to be a receiver not a transmitter i'm afraid.
as for the OP, the cigarette lighter sockets in your car are power only, no audio. your options for getting audio to the car's head unit are
1) get a head unit with a 3.5mm aux input which is your best bet for quality
2) pull out your head unit and see if there is an aux input on the back
3) get a cassette adapter. the audio will be alright as long as you keep the volume output from your phone down. The adapters tend to distort at higher volume inputs.
4) fm transmitter. quality will be crap, but it will work.

Cables for "mirror display" via Red-White-Yellow female jacks? (Infiniti G37 dash)

Cables for "mirror display" via Red-White-Yellow female jacks? (Infiniti G37 dash)
Has anyone successfully ran their Photon Q in "mirror display mode" via the micro-HDMI out port?
What hardware/cables are needed and can you provide an internet link for vendor/price?
I have a Infiniti G35 sedan and my DVD screen will take video/audio input from the three female ports in the armrest which are Yellow-White-Red.
I would like to display the Photon Q screen on my Infiniti G's DVD screen and hear the Photon Q audio through my Infiniti's G speakers.
Here is a pic of the center console female ports:

Thank you in advance for any assistance.
FYI, the audio would be really easy. You can just use the 3.5mm headphone jack with 2 RCA plugs on the other end, and audio is done.
Video... Not sure how that would work. Either way, that's 'composite' - so it'll look pretty awful.
You can get audio via the jack on top, and forget about Video, unless you use a really-expensive converter, as the HDMI video that comes out will be 540P YUV, whereas that composite input in your car is 480I Y/C.

I don't need Hi-Def video. I just want the Photon's Navigation displayed on my car's dash display.
How much is a converter and where can I get one?
Will a cable like this one below even display the video on my dash? How will it look?

You don't have component in (which that cable is). You have composite input to the stereo, you'll probably need some sort of converter while hoping that the phone doesn't require HDCP (I doubt it). Let us know!
Edit: Something like this might be exactly what you would need.

i have the same car 2009 also s4 i9505. i have Nokia N82 video cable but no video shown in my screen only audio so which cable can show the video for infiniti G37 screen in brake position

Charging + analog audio over USB

I'm interested in getting a car dock, but so far all of the docks I've seen only connect to microusb to allow you to charge your phone. If you want to get audio out, you have to connect a cable to the 3.5mm jack. Has anyone seen a cable or adapter that allows you to both charge from a USB charger and has analog audio out so I can connect to my stereo? I am aware that microusb does not provide analog audio out, however the android accessory development kit does seem to support audio over usb, so the cable would need to have some DAC built in. However I can't seem to find any. The only option I've been able to figure out would be to buy a USB DAC intended for a PC, connect it via a USB OTG cable, and splice in my charger. But this seems cumbersome and expensive.
Thoughts?
This is something I am interested in as well, however, I really don't think there's any way a dumb adapter could accomplish it without a DAC, like you said.
Probably the smallest option would be something like this, but still expensive; and since it'd be OTG, probably a pain.
My current attempt is to DIY a POGO dock (using the contacts on the back of the phone) out of one of these.
According to some work these guys did the contacts can function for charging and audio out.
I'll let you know if anything ends up working.
Well, I got all my parts in... and ended in failure
(I forgot to take pictures during, but here are some after the fact...)
I started with a Kidigi car dock:

}
It holds the phone fairly securely:
But there are three problems:
It looks to have been built for the international version, since the usb plug is about a millimeter out of place. This isn't a problem... unless you're trying to line up tiny pogo contacts.
If you remove the usb plug, the phone falls out of the dock, damn!
The usb plug is modified so it triggers car mode when plugged in.
Anyway, I decided to forge ahead.
I was able to determine where the pogos go by lubing up the back of the phone and pressing it into the dock with some duct seal in between.
The construction of the dock was extremely convenient for this project; it was made of three pieces.
Two pieces are screwed together, and one clips in depending on whether or not you have a case on your phone.
I drilled the clip in piece to just allow the end of the pogo through, but not the whole thing.
Then I drilled the other two a bit bigger to fit the whole pogo:
I put the pogos through:
And epoxied them in on the inside of the two screw-together pieces:
All the connections worked!
I temporarily tacked on some wires to the pogos and was able to charge the phone.
However, even after playing with a ton of different resistances, I wasn't able to convince the dock to output audio from the other contacts.
I didn't know if it was because I was on a sense 5 rom, so I tried cleanrom 6.5 (basically stock), and JB aokp... no luck.
Long story short, I'm just going to use the dock as it was intended and deal with having two wires coming out of the phone
I try this one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-3-5mm...Phone_PDA_Cables_Adapters&hash=item25825f2273
but no audio out on the 3.5mm jack

Question HI-RES Audio 24 Bit

Hello,
When listening to music, my 24 bit Flac audio files are played down to 16 bits. This is the case with bluetooth headset, wired headset, and its own speaker. I tried many music players. (Samsung music, poweramp, jetaudio etc.) When I look at the developer options, the 24 Bit feature appears to be passive.
I am waiting for your help in this matter. I bought this phone because it has this feature. Otherwise I would buy Mi 11 lite. I hope I will not regret it.
This seems yo be the case with me too.
I would suggest not using Bluetooth as it cannot play hi-res files. Over aux however, I use Poweramp and changed the setting to hi-res output. Even so,my 24 bit FLAC files get downsampled to 16bit. The A52 as far as I know doesn't have a dedicated dac like LG phones used to. Since there isn't any information on samsung website. Qualcomm does mention that 720g comes with support.
An external DAC would work, but that inferres lugging around another piece of tech in your already bulky pocket.
Any help would be great!

Any new info on this matter? Im thinking of getting this phone and audio is a really important subject to me.
Does poweramp support hd playback on this device or is a external DAC required?
Bt isn't bandwidth capable of supporting 24 bit throughput.
UHQ Upscaler must be enable for hi res output via the C port. That toggle is found in Sound Assistant if you're using it and in Settings.

This post is a bit old but may help for people searching for Playback of High Resolution Audio.
I am using a FiiO BRT5 with LDAC Bluetooth Codec with Samsung Note10. Its has the highest throw power in wireless high resolution Audio.
Incase of any other brand of mobile phone or bluetooth headphones or amp, make sure ot supports LDAC on both end, LDAC was proprietary of Sony but its now supported by Android as well.
I saw something about Hi-Res audio being only played through the USB C port on USB C earphones and headsets? I think RayOS enabled it on the 3.5mm port too but I might be wrong.

In the end i got the phone, and yes, it tells me it's playing at 24 bit/192khz (using hi-res output, it can go further but i dont trust if it's really going that far and anything over 192khz it lowers the volume.)

You have to pay to activate on a yearly basis. Here is the cheapest option currently avaliable:
£6.84 35%OFF | Theme activation code, the activation code is valid for one year

I want the activation code how to gate code..?
New here. I'd like to start a TS10 Audio specific thread but I think i'm too new for that.
I did some testing. My unit only has Front L/R RCA outputs, is that the norm? I do not have sub out either. I measured the voltage of the RCAs at an abysmal .86 volts. I also played with the SPDIF using a PROZOR Digital to Analog converter. Given there is no setting for SPDIF other than bitrate selection, this is a 2-channel output using PCM/LPCM by default meaning no 5.1. The SPDIF signal looked healthy with an oscilloscope meaning low/no clipping from the output. However, I don't have a tool to measure the frequency range. The SPDIF voltage wasn't usable with that USB powered converter at a measly .46 volts btw.
I installed a 5-channel amp before I started reading up on this and a i'm thinking the only way is to install a line output converter into an eq that is 1in/3out RCAs as a $1k plus Optical input amp isn't in the cards or high dollar DSP. I know i'll be forfeiting the headunits internal phasing, delay, fader controls by doing this. However, that appears to be the case no matter which option I choose. This is the bummer with these units. They're feature rich DSP is exclusively limited to their cheap/poor onboard amplifier.
Has anyone else gone down this road yet with a clean cost-effective solution?

Hi, are your problem solved already? If not, hope this will help. And make sure your player got dsp eq. I already make it to support 5channel refer from this picture bcoz i'm also use 5ch power amp.
