pokemon go failed to detect location in Mi4i - Xiaomi Mi 4i

pokemon go failed to detect location in Mi4i. i'v tried in MIUI6/7, AOSP roms both 5.1/6.0.1
location is set to high accuracy
can anyone tell me in which rom you play pokemon go?? custom rom preferred

I played Pokemon GO on stock MIUI 7.3 and works perfectly. Maybe you got mock location enabled, this might be the cause.

it works
it works on stock miui, i have been playing it.

[Q]Is it possible to fix GPS from AOSP through third party apps ?

Hi community,
I know there's issues with GPS on AOSP based roms for falcon.
Can they be fixed through some third party app (I know you can download stuff to *fix* gps sometimes).
Thanks in advance,
You could:
Flash a stock rom, make sure you lock the gps onto your location (use gps status/toolbox) and then flash the aosp rom over the stock
Extract the gps.conf from /system/etc of stock and replace your aosp gps.conf.
Try seeing if 'DEVICE ONLY' in location settings allows gps to lock on in aosp, and then switch to 'HIGH ACCURACY' - this worked for me, as high accuracy showed 0/0 sat. found, but device only found 15/21, then my gps worked normally.
basicly when flash modem 442, its fixed for me.
I think problem came from new baseband.
Sent from my Moto G using XDA Free mobile app
I think i'll wait for it to become fixed, that solution doesn't convince me much.

[Q] Google Maps GPS Not working

This problem is starting to get really annoying. Recently i did a clean flash of cataclysm with code blue kernel, and i remember even on stock lollipop on my other nexus 5, there were no gps issues. This is an RMA unit which i have had for a little over a month now and today i desperately needed GPS cause i was lost...literally.
With 4g and gps it couldnt find me...crap
I have done everything, booted in safe mode, tried calibrating gps, rebooting, reinstalling google maps, everything. Every gps fixing app knows my exact location within seconds of turning on gps. literally, i live out in the country where there aren't many obstacles to obstruct the gps, im in my basement with 2 floors on top of me and STILL those apps find my location no problem. But GOOGLE ****ing MAPS cant find me! Its specifically google maps, everything else uses gps just fine.
any ideas what on earth to do?
I called google and they just offered to replace it. And i desperately dont want to go through that hassle again.
EDIT:
What ive done so far
1. tried safe mode and safe mode recalibration
2. tried factory reset
3. tried reflashing rom and kernel
4. flashing kitkat modems
5. using gps fixing apps
fixed it.
in App Ops on cataclysm rom i enabled location for oogle play services.
It looks like the issue is in play services and not gps

In my ROM, I have option to control each apps individual permissions. (I think you can get "app ops" with xposed. Its built into cataclysm ROM).
I simply went to 'android system' and 'google play services' and enabled location access.

Thanks for your reply, this afternoon I tryied to flash the original SW and hope that this operation can solve my problem...
I'm not an expert and I prefer to use the original ROM, however I've all the option for the geolocation access available and setting on "YES"

GPS Doesn't Lock well

I'm on the latest TekExodus, well just now installing 3.5. The current kernel is Arter97 6.0. When I was on Stock the GPS would lock very quickly. Many times would give me decent location while inside a building. Since I've been on a custom ROM, the GPS is pretty sluggish and only occasionally will give me a location inside certain buildings. I was wondering if there was a way to change how how this is working so I could get a better GPS lock. Is the GPS covered in the Kernel or what? I could just try different Kernels? Thanks for any help.

Are you set to High Accuracy for GPS? That is the default on stock, and your custom ROM may default to another setting.

Spoofing GPS jumps to random positions

I did not find similar 3rds or subforums, so I hope to be right posting here.
I had a Samsung Galaxy S5 not rooted, used a GPS spoofing app in order to play Pokemon Go from home and it worked fine up to a few days ago. Then suddenly once the spoof is activated the location jumps randomly from one to another, not only in the game, also in google maps. I did a factory reset, installed only game and spoof app, but problem persisted. So I decided to root it using magisk and use the spoof app as a system app: again, same problem. I thought it were a problem of the phone itself, decided to get a new one, found a P8 Lite 2017, flashed TWRP, installed Magisk 16, installed spoofing app as system app....same behaviour.
Here you can see a recorded screen capture.
Any hints?

They may have found a way to patch it. Or find a different spoofing app.

Question [SOLVED] Gpay NFC not working on AOSP custom ROMs

On my Poco X3 pro global, Gpay doesn't work with NFC payments when using AOSP custom ROMs A12.1, instead it works flawlessly in the same conditions with any fastboot or recovery MIUI roms.
I tried with or without magisk (obviously with safety net always passing and certified device on play store and google pay app, hiding play store, play services and google pay with zygisk), I tried deleting all data in play store, play services and gpay and trying again.
I tried with different custom aosp roms and gapps packages but nothing changed, when i try to pay the POS retrives an error and the transaction fails (nothing pops up on the phone).
The NFC chip works perfectly so it's not a hardware problem (I also said it works perfectly on MIUI).
I've got 13.0.4 firmware on.
Any ideas? Thanks to everyone who will answer
Gpay NFC payments worked for me on every ROM i tried, but i never rooted or modified them in any way (no mods, custom kernel etc) so that might be an answer.
The solution to this problem can be found to this link! Just swap your SIMs (or remove one and swap the other one), reboot your phone and you're good to go!
NFC doesn't working (unique mysterious problem)
Good day! Poco X3 Pro 8/256 does not want to pay for NFC in any way. What is the problem? When paying, any terminal beeps 2 times and issues an "equipment error". I studied a lot of information on XDA/4PDA, I didn't find anything similar to my...
