Same position we need to come together and sponsor a root exploit reward.

Anything yet?
I just came to this phone from asurion...lol. I had a LG G3 but I don't know if this is the best yet. There isn't even a single thread about root. Does anybody even know the difference with this and the regular s7/edge phones?

highly doubt we can gather 2.5k dollars for a bounty lol

Getting to the Bottom
I started a thread about the root status of the S7 Active. I would be willing to contribute $100 toward that bounty and assist in any way possible.

Can you please elaborate what this means
So now that this device is official (Vitality), any chance to get some "root love"?
Well since metropcs and this phone is the same, most likely the root metro has will root it.
You can find it here. http://androidforums.com/admire-all...e-sch-r720-windows-mac-linux-9-12-2011-a.html
Tried that

Rooting Huh?
Well after spending a second day trying to solve my problem I had superuser on my phone well someone elses phone, but something went wrong so I am throwing in the towel before I have to by someone a phone because this is how I got myself into this I tried to help someone get more business turns out the guy is a loser so I am stuck with having to give someone some free technical features, but rooting wont be one of them, I am going to figure some other ways to spice the phone of for them I just really don't have the time nor the patience with all the reading and materials and the drivers that won't run on my system some of this is a headache for people who are not that good with this sort of machinery.
And I have found that there are so many who say there good but when it comes down to it, I have had two bad experiences this is why I was trying to show some people some new ways to have there phones done, but I realize a few things I am not helping people out no more fu*k'em I got my phone done and complete and I am tired of helping others out and just about everyone who I went to meet up with in Philadelphia and this other guy who answers and gets back to you when he's ready this phone thing is a little much, like you guys say if you don't have the experience then leave it alone.
Because I have to return this phone to someone tomorrow but I thought I was bringing in some business for people but I know now some people just want to stay living at home with mother. So good luck watching Jerry all your life. Anyone
who has someone who can refer me to a real flasher or tech person no more people in the state of Pennsylvania all of them have been crooks. Sorry S. Bonner but you are hitting the #2 on the list. But anyway I need to get in touch with someone who will get paid as long as the job is done 100% and I am talking remote flashing nothing more and rooting. Remember if you live in the State of Pennsylvania don't bother me I want people who want to work.

S5 Developer Edition worth?

Anyone know what the Verizon developer edition is even worth these days? Can't find any on swappa or eBay. Seems like this is the last unlocked Samsung phone that Verizon released. Before I sell mine, I just want to know what I could get for it.

I know it's a late reply but they seemed to be fetching around $250 USD when I was looking a month ago. I cannot remember the model now but on an actual developer phone under the battery the model number is different so make sure you put that full model number in the title of your listing on whatever site you use.
I just threw mine up on eBay with a best offer option since I really have no idea what it's worth. I'm gonna let it sit there until I get what I feel is a reasonable price.

Dude, we really need your device for development right now. Some devs are close to unlocking the bootloader. Use this thread to generate a dump. Then upload the files to a public place. Please! All we need is the tar file with aboot.mbn.

Makes perfect sense that while I'm trying to sell my device, I would render it worthless or decrease the value and make it equal to all the other Verizon S5 phones by unlocking their bootloaders...

You think dumping would negatively affect your phone? You really don't get it, you selfish tosser. Welcome to blocksville...
Lol you guys in this thread dont get it. He doesn't owe us anything. It would however greatly benefit all of us if it were released though.

I am wanting to root my s6. I have a Verizon galaxy s6 sm-g920v build number MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPC2 so i have the updated 6.0.1 marshmallow. Are therenjoying any available methods to root? I've read verizon Is really rough. I don't know where to properly look and was just wandering if someone could help me and save me some time and point me in the right direction. Thank you
No root available at this time. Wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a method. Verizon phones are locked down pretty tight.

Root access for H900 on MM

I just want to know if anyone has found a root method for the V10 H900. I have looked under every rock and nothing so i am just curious as to if any has found one at all. I also want to know if anyone has figured out how to access the tethering. My phone is factory unlocked and I am using a different carrier and when I try and turn it on and it keeps trying to make me contact AT&T to pay for it.
No root on MM and probably there won't be

well then maybe it's not worth trying to figure out a way with the people I've been working with. Noted, I'll keep it to myself once i get it to work.
What accessory are you using for this? lol

If you figure it out and share, I'd be willing to donate for this as I need to unlock wifi tether. I messed up and bought an unlocked ATT phone to be used on a different network. I should've investigated before buying it, but never expected the community to be this dead for such a good phone.

Abine...many threads in the forums all repeat the fact that achieving root on our H900 will be impossible unless a way is figured out, or ATT helps, to unlock the bootloader. In your comment above, it states that you've been working with some people, and none of us know who they are, nor is that our concern or business. But, are you close to getting something that will work on our phone? Would you mind sharing with the hope that others will assist and benefit? MANY of us are eager to root this phone, so you will not be short of helpers or testers.

Question about root and G930V/G930VL

So, I finally laid down the fat stack for an S7, and I went with Straight Talk because I'm not big on contracts. I was itching to throw a rom on it right away, but it looks like there is only one that may be compatible. I'd settle for root though and went about my research. Eventually, I settled on trying to follow this thread, as it seems to apply to pretty much any variant.
Now, my question is, if I were to follow this method and successfully obtain root, I know my phone will show up as a G930V, but will I still be able to use my Straight Talk service on it? Also, any other information pertaining to my situation would be much appreciated, in terms of root and any roms. I know most people say it's overrated nowadays, and mostly unnecessary, but I want to tinker and I like having complete freedom over my device.
Sorry if this has been posted before, but after many hours, I'm still a bit lost in the web of information. Two variants, and multiple carriers, two different boards, MM/Nougat, etc, etc. I'd just like a bit of clarification, thanks a ton!
EDIT
It would seem this thread is what I need to follow to obtain root. I'm still open to any thoughts or suggestions, but I guess my main question is will my Straight Talk account still work if I use this method?
Or would I be better off following this tutorial?
Thanks again!
Nothing huh, nobody knows, or even has an idea?
Hmm.

Yes, sometimes there is a paucity of folks knowing, and then being willing to respond. Hope you got it figured out.
