I've rooted my HTC evo, and my note and note 3. I've since switched to Verizon where I hear root is probably a Longshot. At the same time my companies new email program won't work with rooted phones, so I may not be rooting my note edge anyway. I think I'm ok with that with 1 exception, the dpi. I hate having such a huge screen taken up by just huge icons. I saw this link saying it's possible to edit dpi on the note 4 without root. Will it work on the edge?
I think camera app doesn't work properly

If you change the dpi

I don't see it. I had to enable show system app for phone to show up in the list. There are three phone apps and neither one has the setting for wifi calling.
Weird
Grrr. Whats up with that?

I checked the online manual on sprint.com and it said that wifi calling might not be on the phone at launch.
I'll call Sprint tech support later today and see what they say.
I stupidly factory reset my phone, thinking something had gone wrong during initialization. Now I have to set up again, and still no Wi-Fi calling option.
Found these two guides on there website for those that need instruction.
Hopefully sprint can tell you why its missing?

Yes. It you look at the first guide, it says that wifi calling may not be available at launch.
Wi-Fi Calling hasn't been pushed to our phones yet . I would imagine it will Soon, now that the phone launched

Just got off the phone with a Sprint tech, Wifi-calling will be added in the next update which should be comming soon.

Thank you. I haven't had time to call Sprint but that's the answer that I was expecting.

Thanks for the info, I'm in a "chat" with Sprint now and the person I'm talking to didn't even know this much. Wonder what "soon" means in this context, like a few days, or several weeks...
I saw somewhere (can't remember where) the update is expected in September.

Hi guys,
Woke up this morning to a T-Mobile OTA was out of it and I pressed yes and it was about 500mb.
First thing I did was test the GPS and got a very fast and accurate lock.
I usually never get a lock and its always searching.
Can anyone confirm.
Thanks!!
no updates here .
Is there any way I can tell which update it was?
GPS seems to be running fine since I updated.
No updates here either. Wish there was though, I hate the GPS on this phone.
I'm about to update soon, no show of what it really does, it's a hefty update for sure half a gb, has to be good update, wish it were nougat though lol.
I see the update here, but I'm rooted running custom theme, etc. Can anyone who's installed the update confirm that it didn't mess with root?
EDIT: Nevermind. I am the dumb. Just read some other threads
I just got mine this morning I'll double confirm.

Mine isn't locking on my actual location but, close.
On the plus side it was super fast to get my approximate location and lock lol.

Did nothing for GPS
Hey y'all.....what should my current versions say? I just got the phone today after taking back my S6 Edge that I had gotten the other day, and unlike the S6 Edges million updates, I received none when I set this phone up. Idk how that's possible if its a new phone. In suspecting they gave me a refurbished phone.
My girlfriend has a Verizon Pixel 2 which all of a sudden today stopped receiving MMS texts/pictures as well as sending. Is anyone else in the same situation?
I've reset the APN as well as reboot the phone but still no success.
I'm having the same issue. I believe it's a Verizon problem on their end.
Yep - good old Verizon issue. I just talked to one of their folks who confirmed.
Thanks, guys. Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
I've also just begun experiencing this problem, this morning at 7 am PST. I really hope Verizon figures this one out soon.

The issue seems to be resolved on my device, 1 pm PST.
Hi guys, update on my end as well, it's been fixed!
I used to root my phones primarily for 2 reasons: adblock and Viper4android. Blocking ads is easy for non-root, but Viper is another thing...Now that I'm on a verizon Pixel 3 with a locked bootloader, I'm in the market for a good set of wireless earbuds that can compare to the audio quality I've came to know and love from Viper. I'm no audiophile by any means, but definitely miss the deep bass and clarity that Viper can push out. I use Spotify for all my music, so I'd be interested if there's any good recommendations for some wireless earbuds that sound just as good as Viper.
EDIT
Sorry, just realized this got posted in the wrong place. Should be moved to General Discussion > General
