PokeAimer allows you to use your Phone/Tablet's Motion Sensors to throw balls.
How to use
1. Enable PokeAimer
2. Grant Root Permissions.
3. Turn AR off.
3. Enjoy.
-Root Access is Mandatory along with latest version of SuperSU
-PokeAimer is extremely lightweight and uses very less resources.

Thanks guys. Glad you like the idea. I'm pretty sure you'd love the app as well.
But sadly, Google has rejected my alpha apk and ofcourse the Store Listing sighting that hacks are not allowed on Play Store. Most likely because I had mentioned about the 100% accuracy portion.
ATM I cannot risk my primary Developer account. So I will have to create a new account and try again. Please bear with me.
Thanks.

request sent. ive been trying to make a tasker script and failing miserably!
PokeAimer has been reuploaded on Play Store and is currently under re-verification by Google. If everything works out correctly we should have alpha testing sessions up and running in a few hours. If it fails verification again I will probably have to release it in the XDA Market or XDA Labs I guess.
Thanks for your support.
Good news guys!! Google has approved PokeAimer. Albeit with a few cuts. Which hardly matters really.
Alpha Testing Session is now live. To join follow the link below and tap on Become a Tester and download PokeAimer. Currently it'll give you a 2 hour Window of Free Testing.
It's in the Alpha stage so expect it to not work perfectly on some devices. Either way I would like to see some sort of feedback from each one of you. Over here or in the GPlus Community.
P.S. Make sure you Grant Root Permissions and Turn AR Mode off in game. You also need to be a member of community mentioned in the first post in order to test.

Use SELinux Changer to change SELinux to Permissive. Or use Terminal Emulator and Type setenforce 0.
Official support for Marshmallow will arrive soon. Meanwhile this workaround would do.
Command not found. That's weird. Tried again after su command and still doesn't let me change it.

I actually tried that first. It pops up saying that the device isn't rooted or the Superuser app doesn't allow this app root privileges, even though it does. Confirmed in SuperSU settings. Weird since both my phones are rooted the same way.
Good news, however! I tried on my Nexus 5 (2013). Enabled permissive, granted PokeAimer root and enabled it. Turned AR off in GO and it works. Just caught 7 Pokemon with a simple flick of the phone without missing 1 time.

It'll be great if you could post your initial review in the G+ Community. Would help me keep all reactions in one place.
v 0.0.2 is now live on Play Store. This update includes a fix for the glitchy Pokeball bug and should be a lot more stable. To try, please uninstall v 0.0.1 and install the new version from Play Store.

Hi just made an app with my friend ventrix.
PermissionDog lists all the applications you have installed and checks out what permissions each app is using.
Based on these permissions it sets how dangerous the application can be.
PermissionDog also supports realtime protection. Every time you launch an application
a notification pops up and shows how many permissions the app is using
and how dangerous that application is. (in case you missed reading the permissions when you downloaded the app).
You can exclude any app from Real Time Protection (RTP) or disable the RTP service.
It's like a really lightweight antivirus.
Please note that the application is in Beta stage. Is fully functional and hopefully bug free but needs some tweeks.
Serius updates will come to the next few days!

We are looking to make the app as good as it gets. If changing permissions to other apps is doable without rooted phone consider it done.
Gonna try it.

yeah always do it with all my apps ,kinda starting the good karma. Tell me what you think about the app
Great. I think I will give it a try.
UPDATE: Just installed....very nice! I like how you can sort apps by permission danger. Additionally, I like how clicking on a secific permission will list all apps utilizing that particular permission. Of all apps installed I have two with the red dannnger. I was glad the two were the only apps with that permission level but now am assured that no others have it..
This app makes it easy to do quick analysis.
Love the idea of this app as soon as I saw it pop-up on my XDA Twitter feed.
Installed on my HTC Thunderbolt with the latest ROM (no root) but it was hanging and giving me a Force Close/Wait. I do have a lot of apps installed so I thought this might be an issue.
Rebooted my Thunderbolt and it finally loaded okay. Selected Sort by danger and getting another Force Close/Wait. Selected Wait and it finally sorted.
I really like the app and look forward to some tweaks that might resolve some of the delays for us "app hounds".
Thank you for the post. We are aware of that issue and working on it. The problem is fetching application icons is too expensive some times. We working on making the "fetching" async. Plz wait for an update in the next few days
Awesome! I'll keep watching and will continue to provide feedback.
As a suggestion, is it possible/practical to add the standard rotating "clock" so a user will know it is working in the background?
Can't thank you guys enough for this app. Hope you also eventually have a "paid" version so those of us who want to support you and remove the ads can do so.
I agree with BiteMaster
I get a FC everytime I try to uninstall an app from PermissionDog. I have sent the "Report" three times, idk if it helps...

It seems like cyanogen mod has problems with the "com.android.settings/com.android.settings.InstalledAppDetails" activity.

So, now we check if the uninstall activity exists and if not, we open the Android Market to uninstall it from there.

The latest CyanogenMod lets you do just that.
http://androinica.com/2011/05/cyanogenmod-nightlies-secures-android/
Works on stock Dell Streak 2.2.2
Very simplified method of seeing what has what access.
I wonder about how you calculate the "Danger" level, because i have an app installed that is using only one permission (external_storage) and is rated 4.1. On the other side i have an app that is using four permissions (internet, external_storage, get_accounts, network_state) and that results in rating of 3.5?! I guess lower rating means less risk in using that app?
I would expect an app that uses more permissions to have a higher rating than an app with less permissions.
Btw, i could only start the app once, any further attempt to start it results in a fc (you got a report).
Hey!
We have heard a lot about Google's multiple user feature, and we were so excited about it in 4.2. But we felt disappointed when Google limited the use of the future to Tablets. So here is my app!
You'll be able top enable the feature on any 4.2 mobile running Aosp, cm10.1 or Aokp!
Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.sferadev.multipleuser
Github: https://github.com/SferaDev/4.2MultiuserEnabler
Disclaimer: Please use the app in your own risk! No thermonuclear war supported! Remember the feature it's not officially supported by Google for phones (I dunno why) so I'll help you with any problem but don't expect miracles. Also I'll continue understanding how the feature changes between tablets and phones to give an excellent work. Also I refer to Third Party App called User management, Please for bugs refer to the creator.
See you!

Nice app, definitely makes it easier to enable multi-user support for people who are wary of messing around with system files.
Just thought I'd add that my app, AppShare, is a nice alternative to multi-user app share and has both phone and tablet optimised layouts.
I discovered that the Multiple User Enabler works best, before any gApps are installed. Would you mind providing a direct download link for the APK so this can be achieved more easily? Thanks in advance.
Adding fw.max_users to build.prop
Hello,
I just wanted to report that I had to add the fw.max_users variable to the build.prop file of my tablet in order to be able to reboot without seeing my other account created disappear.
(also I had to rename Provision.apk because 1st run of created user
You may download build.prop editor app to modify your build.prop (click add button).
Thanks,
awesome app!!!
Is possible to add a switch profile based on lockscreen pattern??
I try to explain better:
My device is shared. I already set-up multi-user profiles for each of us:
1-Family mode
2-My mode
example: "pattern1" triggers My mode while entering "pattern2" triggers Family mode
So I will have certain apps automatically blocked when in family mode (hides some applications, sms, calls, and/or maybe starts a blacklist?)
but unlocked in My mode
Is there a way to do this? or is there an app/hack that can closely do some of it?
thank you

Hello!
I first released this app on XDA when I started developing android apps and received some really helpful inputs from community. Now, after a gap of almost 3 years, I am reviving this app with a new vision in mind! It has been written again from scratch.
To ensure existing features don't break (and flex some coding muscles), I have kept the features almost the same and rather focused on UI (material design), performance boost, etc.

In terms of features, as of now the app allows you to:
1. Shorten links using Goo.gl (more will be added soon)
2. "Always On" mode to check all URL's you access (from outside the web browser).
3. Extract (or decrypt) short URL's.
Tip: To turn on "Always On" mode select URL Ripper as your default URL manager (the links will still open in web browser of your choice). This basically allows the app to scan URL's you are visiting from outside the web browser. You can also see the extracted/decrypted link in a dialog box (under Settings)!
Currently URL Ripper supports almost all the link shortening services including popular ones like Goo.gl, Bit.ly, Is.gd, Ow.ly, Tinyurl, Y.ahoo.it, YouTube, etc. Ad-based services like adfly aren't supported.
Link to Play Store - URL Ripper (Google Play Store)
Direct Download Link (Apk - Same as store version) - Version 3.0
I would appreciate if XDA community could again chip in and share their feedback
Thanks in advance!

Yeah, saw that in app description. I have a different variation planned though. More of a "complete" solution with caching, sharing, etc. But then again, all of it depends on how well is it accepted and used. Also, just a thought, I didn't want to rely on a single service for link expansion. The service dies and app dies, I don't want this to happen P.S: No pun intended. Just my 2 cents.
On a side note, I do like the url catching mechanism from other application

I absolutely agree. It was just a matter of comfort for me. I didn't want to write queries for all those shortening services API. Especially since some of the smaller ones might not even have an API. Or are you making the request and checking where the return url is leading?
Sharing was a feature I had in mind as well, but I didn't get to it.
If you find something you like, feel free to use it and if you think the source code might help, I will gladly send it to you / share the repo.

You're right. The less popular one's don't have an api or even if they do, the response time is wayward. As of now reliance is on api but I have seen header request works equally well.

That, and ads need network access as well.
Make a paid version then. Im tired of every app requesting full network access. Its completely unnecessary. At what point did we as a community accept this as the norm?
I would rather you release a free version with less functionality then a free version with ads that requires full internet access. If the app turns out to be usefull then charge a buck or two and people will gladly pay, myself included.

It is simple, as much you want to believe people can make money on android without ads, you are mistaken. Regardless of how well the app is, people are still not going to pay for it. If you find my app doing something it shouldn't, then report it. Thank you for at least looking at the app. I am sorry that it just for you. Is there anything else I could do to appease without removing the ads? There are only two ways to make money on android, people paying for them, and people using ads. Sadly, more money is still made on ads and not enough is made in paid versions. My app doesn't use the internet unless its the free version for ads. I can't thank you enough for the response. Have a great day.
I will think about what you have suggested and maybe I will remove ads and add in more pro functions. Anything you have in mind that would make this better then?

thanks for a very useful app. Note that it does not show on the play store, even when I search the store for 'fearch'. There is another app called fearch that appears to be something completely different.
in any case, I was able to download the apk and install it. but the link to the pro version launches the play store with an 'item not found' message.
Dead?
Can you explain why this app isn't available on Google Play anymore and why your website isn't working?
Is this Project dead?
If you like debugging on your device, you've likely come across CatLog. It's a great reader, with only one issue, the UI is a bit outdated.
Not anymore.
CatLog HoloAs CatLog is open source, I was able to edit it properly, no smali hacks or anything

- Search opens in ActionView in ActionBar
- Reload moved to overflow as you can't easily get menu long press
- Themes changed to Holo equivelents
- New icon

Note that the app has the same package name but a different signature, you will need to uninstall the old CatLog and then install this one
Awesome!
Finally there's a holo version of logcat, I've waited so long for this
Already wanted to do it myself, but never found the time..
I hope you're going to keep it up to date
Are you planning to release it on the Play Store some day?

Depends on whether the actual CatLog developer likes it. I'll try to keep it up to date, the changes aren't huge

I hear ya. Thanks for the mod, looks great. Definitely less Gingerbread-like.
You should write something such as "I know I’ve written the best Logcat app for Android." as taken from Nolan's post.

Didn't have to uninstall. Probably coz I downloaded from F-Droid. But anyway thanks for the good work

It's signed with my signature, nothing else that isn't by me is signed with that. What you've seen is a fluke I think

Well it's weird then. I managed to install over the old one.
Thank you so much, CatLog's original UI was unreadable!
Great work put on Play Store and I'm sure people will support you:good:

Awesome job with this! I was actually planning on doing this myself just the other day, now I don't have to thanks!
Would be great to have this in the Play Store
Very nice. Easy to read and better on the eyes. Thanks.
How about offering a version with a slightly different name so as to be able to install both versions?
CatLog is still actively maintained so it would be nice to have yours installed and also keep up with the originals updates.

CatLog is not actively maintained. The project has been mostly abandoned and open sourced by the author in September 2012 (WTFPL!). He says he has no will to work on it anymore and he kindly open sourced so people like Quinny could take on it and have fun with it. He previously mentioned wanting to adhere more with the Holo standard (done!) as well as touch up the filtering.

I used "actively maintained" after going to the Play Store and seeing that it was last updated on December 13 2013, maybe something more subtle like still receives updates would have been better. I did not know that he said he didn't want to work on it anymore, the app still receives the occasional small update hence the reason for my request.
It also makes sense to slightly change the name (CatLog Holo comes to mind ) if Quinny plans to publish the app in the future since that name is already taken in the Play Store.
Sorry if I am being tiresome, I just posted here to see what Quinny's position was on doing this.
