On my last lg g5 I bricked it, I tried downloading the tot file using the tot file and the dll and followed the instructions to the T.... bricked the thing is there was an update for installation and I had installed it, was that what the problem was? and on my new one I want to use kingroot, its a tmobile LGG5 6.0.1 no updates its H83010a and I was just wondering if it is available for rooting? I haven't installed the update to this one and I really wanna root it can someone help me?

Hey all Stylo users,
I think my bootloader is locked or something because I can't root after flashing a KDZ for Fido on my phone. I flashed the KDZ, then in an attempt to regain root, restored from the LG PC Bridge program. But still can't root with LG One Click Root or Kingroot. Kingroot worked 100% before flashing the KDZ. Im just not clear on why after flashing it, root isn't possible. The KDZ thread states that there was no root method available for 5.1.1. or something. My current version is 5.0.2, and I have no OTA's pending. I guess Fido hasn't upgraded this phone to 5.1.1. yet. Can someone fill me in if they have any info? Thank you !
Flashing a kdz for the stylo locks the bootloader, and root will not be available anymore, thats why using a kdz should be used as a last resort.

I have the Lg stylo h634 through Cricket. After reading another thread I used Kingroot to root my phone. However I decided I wanted to removed the root so I can upgrade to Marshmallow. So I purchased Supersu to get rid of kIngroot. My phone is now stuck in bootloop. At this point I don't care what ROM I have, I just need my phone back. Any suggestions, help or even a "I'm screwed buy a new phone" statement would a least let me move on. I have been at this for about a week now.

Bring it to where you got it and play dumb. Don't mention root or anything of the sort. As far as they're concerned you don't know jack about phones. Just tell them it froze and you had to pull the battery to reset it but now it wont turn on.
My Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo is also briked
I rooted my Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo (H634) with Kingroot then I used Super sume to covert to SuperSU instead of Kingroots after I used the Super sume app and updated binaries the phone restarted and and is stuck on the LG logo. Boost and Metro has flash files all over the web TOT and KDZ files we need flash files for the Cricket Wireless LG G Stylo if anyone can post them online thank you in advance.

I rooted my new lg stylo with king root and sticked with kingroot cause i dont want to

Dont use these apps unless theres a kdz available for your phone
I am rooted with New version 4.8 KingRoot. Have root checker Pro by joeykrim. No issues. First attempt with super su bricked. But phone was three days old. Duh my phone locked. New phone is rooted for good. Need custom recovery though.

oh its not me i wanted to ask for a phone with root so i can get the system .img and help a few people that completely deleted some of the system files like the lgstartup.apk ext. i wouldnt have a custom img for the lg g stylo on boost if it was me who bricked my own device
Oh okay, could you not get the .kdz file extract it and get the files needed?

Hey i have a rooted lg g stylo from cricket it wont let me update cause it say device suspect ed of rooting i wana go back to stock
So just un root and take the ota and re root when when ur. Done...and someone was talking about being stuck with the king user.... go to the play store and download super sume and it will uninstall king user and replace it with super su with out loosing root

Have you figured out how to unbrick the Cricket Stylo? I can't find a kdz file for it anywhere.

I dont seem to have the same issue. Rooted with Kingroot, supersu me to supersu, and working like a charm. I posted the DLL and TOT files for lgflashtool in another thread as well.

1/ What is the lastest kdz stock now ? I saw one in the storagecow and it says 10d.
2/ I have heard about using TOT file to root and make a TWRP. What stock version should I install first before using that TOT file by LGUP ?
