Xiaomi mi4c - Xiaomi Mi 4C

Hi! I changed the screen of a Xiaomi mi4c and now will not start. I tried it with the power supply and press the power button, it works correctly but the mobile does not come to light and heat for some areas. He needed a service manual or at least to try to resolve troubleshooting.

[Q] Power Button Failure

It seems that my power button no longer works. I was just curious if there is another way I can turn my phone on or if I am screwed and need to send it in to get fixed
Thanks
Happened to me last year....poor workmanship.....only way to boot is via power button. In Australia service turnaround was 1 week - poor build quality, poor software support but good service standards ( might be because they have a lot of experience!
I built myself a phone holder to mount the phone to the handlebars on my bike and I noticed that on bumpy roads or when going over potholes the phone would sometimes wake up by itself. It may be a long shot, but you can try subjecting the phone to rapid acceleration/deceleration if you really need to wake up your phone. Maybe the button isn't completely broken yet, because if it is, I doubt this would work.
Some guy did open it and solder button. Search forum for service manual.

Nexus S wont turn on

I had to restart my phone. And then my screen goes blank. There is no display since. Even charger plugged on there is no indication.
There is some heat generated when the battery is charged and even after the cable is removed indicating some functioning of the phone hardware.
Tried the long power button hold and tried the power + volume up hold troubleshooting. But nothing happens.
Please help!
Do you have another battery that you can try? I had similar problems with one battery I had. I used another one and the phone was fine. Most energy problems are faulty batteries.
I don't have a spare battery and no stock of batteries here as well.
Any other suggestions?

try holding vol up + vol down...while holding, tap power
this will load download mode. If you can get it here you can reflash with odin and reinstall everything again.
try having the back cover off... plug the phone into a known working charger / cable with the battery in. let it sit for 10 secs, then quickly pull the battery out and plug the battery in (like half a second... just enough to disconnect the battery from the contacts) this should force the phone to turn on.
Its how i turn my nexus s on without a power button.

Could be the power button. This is a known issue and something similar happened to me. Turned phone off and wouldn't turn back on. Tried everything - just had to jam the power button. Had it replaced twice for that reason. I fixed my third by disassembling and cleaning and reseating power button.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Apparently the motherboard needs a change. And since I had bought it in a different region, the motherboard available here is not suitable.

Too bad! Maybe you can get one online. I found this one on ebay:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=121053149092&index=3&nav=SEARCH&nid=59354008011
If you search a little bit more and in more places I'm sure you can find something. Or you can use this as an excuse to get a new phone!

You can't buy a motherboard none is selling them, if u want to fix ur phone u need to send it for repair to samsung or an alternative repair shop, but none of those 2 will sell u a mobo...
I was searching on ebay for some time and 2 ads i found were for dead motherboards and this in 4 months of searching. I mailed a dozen repair shops and they all decline to sell me a mobo or they didn't carry them at all
Anyway to repair ur phone by replacing the mobo will cost you 100-150$ ur better of buying a new phone for around 200$ cause the nexus s is too old and doesn't justify the repair / value / performance compare to other phones on the market right now
I have had this same problem and if my cousin finds out that this phone might be broken he will be upset. But i can change the motherboard, if i do will i lose all my data like music messages apps etc. ?

[Q] Power button shallow and does not click properly

Hi, I have a tf300t since 2012, and have been literally using it a lot, even though that this problem isn't as common as it is, well, recently it happened to me after using the universal fold case that I bought for the tablet 6 months ago or so.
The main problem is that the power button (the plastic part of it) is now more shallow because of the handles that press and hold the tablet, one of the handles are located WHERE the power button is, which leads to it being more shallow and problematic to use the tablet..
I will provide pics soon but, is there any solutions to this issue?
I had same problem. I sent it to Asus to be fixed. Thinking what happens is the switch unit gradually moved and just needed to be reseated and fastened.

Never mind, I fixed the problem myself after discovering that the button foil was not centered, I recentered it manually and fixed the problem this way.

Power Button won't wake up screen sometimes.

Hello!
After locking the phone, it happens that sometimes the power button won't turn on the display.
The button is still working, because it is possible to start the Flashlight (long press power button) or open the camera app (double tap power button, can hear the sound).
I'm using the latest lineageos 14.1 version.
Does anybody how to fix this?

As ridiculous as that may sound i think it's a problem with your button, you will have to desolder this and resolder a new one. I used to have the same problem, button didn't work like 2/10 at first, and that rate kept increasing. With use and tear it kept worsening. I bought soldering iron and replaced the button, it now works freakin' great.

Okay that sounds strange. I can give it a try.
Now that i see this Thread again, it's far more likely that your lcd just died or partially did. Although if it turns on sometimes like your state, "that sometimes the power button won't turn on the display" it may be a bad teared down soldering on either the power button on the lcd pcb. Get it to a repair shop and ask for a check, if you don't mine you cant open your back cover and remove the screws so you let the motherboard pcb exposed, with a high quality picture we should be able to see if the power button is the problem or not.

aye, and? Mine was the same, it worsen upon the replacement, and within some days of usage, the flex cable had gotten damaged for good, the oneplus one replacement displays out there are crappy, mostly used, not well maintained, cheap ones, and they are not to be trusted.

I'm using a cheap replacement from ebay that I replaced myself, and I'm yet to see any issues with it.
most lcd have the problem. i got a lcd thrice now from different manufacturers had the same problem for some extent
digitizer works fine but lcd doesn't have good connection
My Nexus was also sometimes not waking with the power button. A custom ROM flash (Nexus4Ever) worked well, but still had the same problem. Probably related to this I would notice that when the phone did wake it was sometimes taking a few seconds to do it.
After some searching I found a solution under the lineageos forums -- search for BUGBASH-230 (can't post url here because this is a guest reply). Basically, you have to copy (copy them, don't move them) all tzapps files found in system/etc to system/vendor. It worked for me. There's no more delay in waking up and the problem has been gone for a week now. Before the fix it was occurring at least once a day. Try it.
I have same problem with you and this occcurd after change os nougat to Oreo 8.1 on my j7 prime
It's not the display
I have the same issue on my Nexus 7 with 14.1 installed. The mockingbird replies about it being a faulty display or power button are unfounded considering rebooting the device fixes the issue. Only seems to occur when it's been on for a while or has less than 30% battery.
Did anyone ever fix this? I see this on a few versions of Lineage. Disabling the lock screen in System Profiles settings avoids the issue, but then there's no lock screen!
Not The Display, exactly...
Just thought I would throw in my 2 cent observations. I have a Samsung Relay 4G (t699/apexqtmo). It worked flawlessly with its stock software / and official upgrade (I.C.S. & J.B). Once I upgraded to KitKat or Lollipop, the screen backlight would never turn on after waking the device on a single button push. The difference between these versions of android as it relates to waking the device can be found in changes to power management / wake locks code. I am not good enough to figure the ins and outs of this type of programming, but maybe this will give some hacker an idea of how to patch or work around this particular part of the firmware. Thanks!
Just upgraded form stock to LineageOS rooted and all....display wake up worked fine b 4 now i have this problem also it will sometimes eventually wake up but takes forever and many button presses
So, if anyone is till wondering about this, here is the information i believe to fix this bug, that is if anyone can integrate the change into CM KitKat and beyond for our sad old Relay. github.com/TeamApexQ/apexq/issues/24. Any chance this could be implemented through an apk?
Because I really don't want to shell out $$$ for an F(x)tec Pro

GT-8000 Faulty after a 120 VAC Domestic Power Failure

Problem after a 120 VAC Domestic Power Failure,
Greetings, my name is Angel Trujillo and I would like to request assistance from you guys to solve a problem with my Samsung tablet. While charging my GT-N8000 tablet I had a domestic power failure at home, after that I realized that the tablet did not light or illuminate the screen and did not able to turn it on.
I was doing a lot of tests on it and I realized that the tablet turned on only if I disconnected the video flex that is on the far right part (Just beside the left speaker area). When connecting the power charger, the shielding housing near the flex connector starts heating and shuts off. What could be causing this? Problems on the screen or on the controller, regulator, located on the motherboard?
Can someone please help me with this issue?
Thank you in advance for the support you can give me.
Best Regards,
Ángel Trujillo
