after near 2 days research i found the RUU for the the CID "HTC__044" Asia WWE

For a second I thought it was JB ROM for the One S. What is it taking it so long for a JB Rom to be leaked for the One S? The one X had JB based custom Roms for a while!

Post 1 updated! Now fast DB Link available!
It is a stock 4.03 (1.11.701 Build) but this was very hard to find for me (sorry, i speak no Chineese ) so i thinked i post it it here... Much S3 Devices swapped via hungary general distributor to the EU and are here available for about €300.- new here in german speaking area!
So the problem is they all are S-ON and it is no SuperCID for S3 available till now (online tutorials failed for me). So if u ulock bootloader, flash recovery and flash a custom ROM you can´t go back without the right RUU for your CID...
If someone have a idea how i can get SuperCID or change my CID to "HTC__102" (Europe WWE) it would be great!

What about the standard procedure: unlock, root, then pull block mmcblk0p4 and search for the CID (i would guess its at the exact same offset), hex edit that block and then push it back to the chip.
That doesn't work on the VilleC2?

If you Upgrade to 4.04 ,You can not flash RUU 4.03 because Hboot is height than old version 4.03.Please waiting RUU 4.04 HTC WWW Asia or change CID complete for S3 version guy .:laugh:

Prerequisite for soff is you must be on stock Rom
And I soffed my phone after I flashed stock Rom my phone ,
You donot need to run the RUU as RUU will make your phone completely stock
You need a stock ROM

no revolutionary doesn't support your hboot version
other way is to unlock the bootloader from htcdev site
and then use this guide to flash custom roms

[Q] Flash RUU only on Unlock Bootloader

My question for all of those who ever tried to flash different version RUU only on unlock bootloader and rooted. S-ON still on it place. Please tell me it was a successful or not? and also share ur experience related to this. Thank you.

you can't flash the RUU you want cause in that case it probably won't work, you have to make sure that the RUU that you are going to flash has the same software version of your current main version.... if you follow this you will successfully install the RUU :good:

To flash ruu from any region you have to be s-off and Super cid as far as I know.

I'm sorry mate. Not true
You will need s-off if you want to downgrade the software or use ruu from another region.
But as long as it the right ruu for your phone it won't cause problems

Hi,
If you s-off,you might consider SuperCID as well.
Then, you can flash ANY RUU you like .

Downgrade on T-MOB009 CID to get superCID or WWE CID

Hi guys. Is it possible for my situation to get CID like HTC__203 or something like that? My current setup is:
HBOOT 2.0, moonshine S-OFF and I'm currently running Odexed flashable Android 4.2.2 (so not from OTA) with upgraded radio partition from OTA update (flashed manually).
Anything possible at this stage?

I think you can use this guide for you too.
But i would not use HTC__203 because i have not heard that the OTA is rolling in france.
Use HTC__001 or in best case 11111111 for SuperCID.

Why I have cid wwe_001 but didn't received any notify?

I don't think so.
With S-Off you should be able to do.
Its only mentioned in this guide, because moonshine S-Off was not released at this point.
At this time the only chance to do, was under ICS.

On the little off-topic - which HEX-Editor would be safe to use? Or maybe - which one did you used for changing CID?

I used HxD with success and i would recommend it!

I hope it too. I'm now about to flash stock from here and stock files from here. I think it'll be enough for getting an update?

I guess if somebody want receive jb OTA notification, you may change your CID to these number before RUU.

you have to S-OFF your device first
there is no other way to downgrade
