Error root in the Galaxy Ace 4 Neo - General Questions and Answers

Hello! i don't know if this is the correct forum to post this content, but iI am facing a problem to do root in my Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo. I'm going to tell the story: First I was trying to install with android rom 5.0 on my phone (which was with root working perfectly), (I couldn't find a rom compatible), but before you look for the rom, I decided to install the recovery of Clockword Mod, that has not been successfully installed, and my smartphone doesn't leave the splash screen, and I was unable to access the recovery (a red exclamation point appeared in the upper left corner) so I decided to download the original rom of my smartphone and install with odin, but I still couldn't access the recovery, so I extract the recovery.img file of rom, converted to .tar.md5 and installed with odin, worked perfectly, however I still can't perform the root, I always used the kingo root, and always worked, but not this time I tested other software and apk's, none managed to finish the process. It bothers me a lot because my smartphone has android 4.4.4 and has access to the sd card only for apps, system that gets in the way too much. Well, is that there is still a solution for this problem? Grateful in advance!!

[Q] Rooting Samsung Galaxy i5500

Hello all,
I have had my Galaxy i5500 for awhile now and have used odin to flash updates for the firmware etc.
I have recently rooted my phone using Superoneclick and this worked fine. Overclocked the phone, and ran a number of Apps using SuperUser Access to gain all the benefits from this.
I installed Titanium Backup and Installed it on my SD Card, this caused a number of problems and I had to pull the battery on my phone to reboot it. Anyway it then hung at the GT-I5500 screen and I ended up having to download a new firmware (not custom) and use Odin to update it.
I now have a working phone, however I now can't root it. I have tried Superoneclick, that no longer works. I have also tried Universal Androot..with that I get an error message of Root Failed - No Fu Guu (or something like that) and I have just tried using z4root... with that it says acquiring Root Shell and then it just kicks me out...have checked and it's not rooted.
I also can't seem to access the reboot menu on my phone (the one where you press a couple of buttons to enter the menu where you can factory set your phone.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Other than these problems mentioned, the phone works as it should
Solved....
It took awhile of trying different root software but.... after reflashing my phone with another stock rom, I found Super One Click still didn't work, nor did z4root or universal Androot (I'm guessing it would have worked without reflashing a different rom).
I did however find that Unlock Root 2.2 worked! My phone is now flashed, no error messages and I have Superuser Access!! Now time to install a custom bootloader and start with the custom roms!!

[Q] p3110 stuck on logo after Heimdall root and Odin root...

Hi,
I've been using Linux for over ten years but am a newb with tablets and flashing etc. Thought I'd be able to stick Linux on my P3110 but soon realized I needed to take baby steps first. So I tried Heimdall to root my device according to the instructions on androidauthority.com galaxy-tab-2-7-0-p3110-root-clockworkmod-recovery-96473
This did not work so despite many attempts so I eventually filed a bug report for Heimdall which was addressed in the wip/1.4RC3 branch... which I may have got a bit too eager to use before it was quite ready. I rebuilt despite the warning the build files weren't then updated. I tried it anyway and it didn't seem to work, but third time or so lucky it appeared to work. Unfortunately the P3110 reset but stayed stuck on the Samsung logo.
I've now got a Vista install inside VirtualBox and have sucessfully used Odin to flash CWM Recovery onto it, and then used CWM recovery to install some other root package ( tips4tab.com how-to-root-and-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-7-0-wi-fi-gt-p3110 ) but still have the same result: the P3110 stays stuck on the logo.
So all the while I've been researching how to do this I've seen hints the solution is to install the stock rom onto the device, but many solutions seem to involve Kies which from my experiments thus far won't recognize a non-working device such as mine.
Anyway, I eventually found sammobile.com and am currently downloading P3110XXCLK7_P3110OXACLK7_BTU.zip which is the latest firmware for my P3110 (UK) which from what I believe needs to be copied to an SD card and the SD inserted into the P3110.
My question is does this sound like the right thing to do to get my device working again?
Yes extract the 1.1gb P3110XXCLK7_P3110OXACLK7_HOME.tar.md5 from the Zip and use Odin to install it to the P3110. It takes some time and afterward you'll see a yellow android dancing the dance of life with a blue data stream. After rebooting the device will then take you through the initial setup stage again
good
Yea just what dat guy is sayin :good:

Trying to get CWM and root on previously rooted Note 3

*** note i have figured out all issues on my own, trying to figure out how to delete this thread****
I have a TMOB Note 3 that I recently upgraded to OEM Lollipop. I had a couple of issues so decided to take the plunge and just upgrade further to an unsupported 5.1.1 ROM. I took nandroid and Titanium backups and stored them away on my PC.
Here's where I started getting into trouble. First I wiped everything, then realized I didn't have CWB installed.
So I tried to install CWB using Odin and n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.7-kk(0125).tar. This worked but it didn't also provide me root. CWB prompted me if I wanted to root when it rebooted, but SuperSU says I am not rooted. Once I install CWB, I can no longer boot into recovery mode either with the key combo.
In this process I also lost my carrier unlock.
1. How do I obtain root after using Odin to install CWB? - solved
2. Why can't I boot into recovery mode with the three key combo after CWB has been installed - sort of solved, using ROM Toolbox
3. Can someone point me to a thread on how to carrier unlock the TMOB Note 3? There was a software unlock for it that I used 3 years ago but I can't find that thread (and not sure if it's OS specific at all, ie, if it will still work with Lollipop once I find it)
I'm continuing to work on these problems, but wanted to get this post out in case I'm still stumped by the time someone with an answer sees it. Thanks!

I Can't root my Samsung Device

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T110 unable to start after rooting several times.

Good day everyone, especially to every great and talented android developer out there. Please be nice and give some patience in me, im a newbie. I don't intend to annoy anyone . I am here asking for help to anybody.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite SM-T110
1. I rooted it and flashed custom recovery(TWRP) following this thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674649. It works fine. Reasons? To enhance battery life and give smooth performance especially in games. I have backup everything and put in my laptop.
2. I installed app remover/uninstaller from google play to remove unwanted system applications.
3. I installed custom kernel/ROM and flashed it in recovery mode. It failed, I reboot the device, and it tells "NO OS".
I follow instructions in this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-7/rom-i8200-build-t110-t3139478
4. I try to restore the back-up in recovery, but it failed. So, i downloaded the stock/official firmware.
5. I flashed stock recovery, then flashed the stock/official firmware of my device. It works again (No Root this time)
6. I am really curious about custom kernel/rom, so i reapeat 1-5. (3x)
7. The second time, i wonder why it failed to install the rom, so i go to recovery->wipe->format Data
8. This time, i know my device breaks. It keeps on rebooting and sometimes it stuck at startup.
9. I unbreak/softbreak it following no. 1 but nothing change, my device didn't start. It's stuck.
I think my device is now dead.
Any comments/suggestions is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
