What is your favorite device?

Hi everyone, I have been wondering what people think is the best phone on the market and why?
This thread is designed for those who want to purchase a new phone, but don't want to buy something that is only hyped and has no substance. By the people, For the People!
Please state the phone and your reason why it is your personal favorite. (Note: It could be any phone, even the iPhone 4.)

I thought the Motorola Dynatac 800X was pretty coollio, last week!

My favorite phone by all means is (because I own it) HTC HD2. Mines is a TMOUS, but if you are planning on buying one get the world version its universal. Here is a video (not mine) on why the HD2 is better than iPhone 3GS in versus type explanation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9cOMoouatY&feature=related . The HD2 is a versatile device. It has the capability of running Windows Mobile 6.5, Windows Mobile 6.5.x, and new to the device many versions of android. I personally enjoy its big 4.3 inch screen. It has a pretty good 5 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash.

There are way to many phones out there to choose from. Money is also a variable. I have a HTC Doual Touch and I am happy with it for now. I am aware that it is not the best but it is good enough.

Whats funny is this was a monutmental breakthrough in cellular phones. The precvious model looked like a car battery with a phone on top. My neighboor got the first car/cell phone ever made and showed it off to the neighboorhood. It was funny because no one ,,,, got it. No one understood what that big ass cynderblock represented and what it would lead too. So when ever I see the older cell phones I think back to the original and laugh thinking, if you'd been carrying that car battery the past 2 years this thing looks like its from startrek.

I here there will be a new Brick just around the corner

WTF, mine never overheated, and im using it so hard >.<!
my favorite is the htc hd2 too, but thats because i love winmo, and i love the option to boot android too (wich works just awsome, better then i thought).
but for a totaly new person, i wouldnt recommend to buy a winmo 6.5 phone, cause that OS is sadly dying more and more, and the hd2 will probably the last winmo device.. ;(

I love my HD2. Even before I Android running on it. WinMo is smooth as silk on it. I love options too.

I love my X10a, it's super good looking

I have a vibrant and hd2...I don't like my hd2...I would say any of the new samsung galaxy s phones with the new bright colorfull screens!

I bought mine on launch, and I still love. My only regret the is potential loss of tmobile, but the FCC seems to be leaning against that.

I really like it a lot. I think it's still the phone I'd choose today if I was in the market again; I've really appreciated the stock experience, especially post-2.3.3 patch, which fixed pretty much all my gripes with it.

I love it, but the only thing that I can think of to change is making the speaker audible when laid on it's back. I had a few missed calls because of this.

I love it. Started off a little bit slow, but things are starting to catch up... slowly.
I never get sick of the phone's looks. And getting the Case-Mate Pop Case made me even love it more.
Edit: Slow as in development.

I love it to death. The only way I would think of giving it up is if the deal goes through. Having a 3g phone with no 3g is lame.

I still love my nex. Sexiest looking phone out there.. Although now u see all these double-core/4.3" phones and kinda wish the SNS was the 1st.

Same with this guy.

my brother has one. ihave iphone 4. last week i bought one. used but almost brand new. not a single cratch with no visible gtid pattern on the matrix pentile screen. it was stunning.
i figured what the hell, i will try it for few days. if i like it, i will keep it and sell my iphone 4. if not i will return it to the store " store owner is my close friend "
so i played with it. i think its awesome. but i gave it to my brother since it was in better shape than my brothers and he sold his phone.
i use skype video calls almost daily. and i play alot of games. i figured i can live without the skype but it was a no go.
its funny how a small things can screw up big things.
all in all i think its one of the best phones in the market. and i recommend this phone over any andriod phone available right now.
unless optimus 2x will have a cracked bootloader, then i dont think any phone coming soon will top the nexus .
right now i am waiting for the xperia play. for the same reason, i play games alo :/

Interesting responses. I for one, do love mine. I don't think I could ask for more except 3g.

Wouldn't change this phone for any other out there.

My nexus s is flawless with the nscollab rom crazy battery life had me sold on best android practical phone on the market!

I don't see any reason not to like the Nexus S currently...the only drawback is lack of dual core and 4G. But no biggie to me...I can live with 3G speeds and this phone is super fast with custom rom's, kernels even without dual core.
This will be my phone until GalaxyS 2 comes out on T-Mobile

Then you'll complain about Samsung's delay on Android X.X. Just stay on the Nexus line and wait for the 3rd Nexus Phone.

Got mine as soon as Bestbuy opened on launch day, rooted it later that day as soon as Koush posted directions. Still love the phone and wouldn't trade it for any other phone available now or that has been announced/rumored.

best phone I ever had in 10 ten years. none of them made me love it the way NS made me.

Well as long as I can root and flash custom rom ... I don't care about Samsung pushing the update....and not a bad idea for waiting for Nexus 3 as well

Considering Getting This

I'm sure you've had several threads on this, but should I return my Galaxy S 4G for the G2x? Is that big a boost in performance? I love stock Android, hate Touchwiz, but the Galaxy S has an amazing screen. Also, does the app Wiimote Controller work with the G2x?

Huge boost in performance. The G2x works like "butter" as many have been saying. G2x's screen is amazing, some are saying it's one of the best on the market right now and even outshines some of Samsung's screens. Wiimote does not work YET due to LG adding in their own bluetooth stacks into the phone instead of the more common ones, however it's generally believed that a ROM (Probably Cyanogen) or a software mod will fix the issue. LOL... I though I was the only current SGS4G person thinking about the switching to the G2x... plus it looks like this phone is getting more love than our phone from both the developers and LG I just read a story on engadget.com about LG showing love to the G2x something Samsung ain't doing for sh!t...

Yeah, that's another thing. There's almost no support for this phone from T-Mobile, Samsung, and the modding community, with the G2x having all of the above.

honestly... touchwiz is so lame id rather have an iphone than a sgs4g... its pretty much the same software only the iphone has better hardware than the sgs4g lol

not true the sgs4g is not even close to iphone... better screen just for starters and at least t-mobiles network can handle the sgs4g
but YES it is better.... i traded my SGS4G the next day..... (well sent it back to order the G2x)

yeah the SGS4G and the vibrant felt like plastic kids toys.... the G2x feels like a tank
and ive had mine for almost a week
NO reboots
NO data problems
NO screenlock death
minor bleeding but its only @ 100% brightness and in a dark room

I exchanged my Galaxy S. for the T-Mobile G2X. Yes, the screen is a big change, the Galaxy has a much better screen. But after about 10 days, I've forgotten the difference and was really enjoying the speed increase of the G2X. If you think you can get over the change in the screen, go for it, if you don't, you better stick with the the galaxy S or wait for the galaxy S II coming out soon.

Desire HD? Ready!

Man thank goodness we did not have to wait a whole month more. I am really ready to see just what ICS has to offer to make Android even better. Not to mention the sooner the release the sooner my HTC Sensation will get a upgrade from Gingerbread to ICS. I have seen videos and pics showing how ICS has taken and incorporated things found in Honeycomb for tablets into the OS for phones. I have also seen talk of the default browser possibly being Google Chrome or at least Google Chrome being available in a app for Android with ICS, which means we will finally have true tabbed web browsing capabilities One thing is for sure I am excited about ICS.

I can't wait. The music app looks and feels great, only dislike I have is the damn widget (album art, Google! There's a reason it exists, USE IT with the widget!). Plus I'm really looking forward to seeing what the devs do with it.

DO you guys think existing devices (everybody except sammy) will get smooth pinch to zoom like sgs2?

Can't wait!! Now the question remains, which one of my devices will get a ROM first? Glacier or Iconia? It'll be nice to finally have the same Android version on both devices. Unity ftw!

[WIP]LineageOS 14.1 News (We Need Your Help)

Yes Lineage Os 14.1 Sort of works on our lonely LG V10 device.
What i know so far is
NOT WORKING
Audio
Camera - Needs Camera Blob Bring Up.
Some of the Lg G4 blobs work and some dont. So thats why we need our proper camera blob bring up.
We need our help. We need to colaborate like old times android comunity is separating slowly over the years.
If we are alone and some knows 1 or 2 things about android we need to regroup and work as a team. Or we never going to have something working.
On the picks says on device that is a LGH811 (LG G4) but is not.
It says that cus the deve used lg g4 repo.
He owns the lg v10 a d lg g4 but he studies and he is trying his best.

We can contact the LG v20 developers of the nougat roms. They fixed the camera using the lg g5 tree as a base I suppose

I just had my V20 SMASHED in anger by a very lovely beautiful lady 5 nights ago. today I received my v10 (what I can afford) replacement. I guess I was foolish enough to assume that 7.0 would be available on this device. I am not a developer, however, I am able to test anything you need me to. I agree that the community has fragmented over recent years and I have stayed away because of the poop throwing and phone /engineering skills shaming I see here anymore. I am so so so sad about losing my beloved V20 but more so now that I learn that I should've researched this more upfront. My nexus 5 and 6 my 6p and even my one plus one ALL HAVE MULTIPLE 7.** ROMS I thought a 16 month old LG BAD-BOY would be in same boat but it looks more like paddling shut creek.....help?

I can help build the ROMS. 8 core with 16gbs of RAM if that's enough.

Well nougat is available and the source for it as well, I for one do not have the know how to develop a Rom but the stuff we need is there in a kdz.

Exactly... T-Mobile just released the Nougat update today, or I just read about it. Waiting for Verizon..... could die if I hold my breath...
