I recently flashed the latest Sultan ROM with Open GApps and SuperSU 2.76, and I noticed that CCleaner does not recognize root.
I really like using it for disabling apps on my phone and was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to get it to recognize root.
I have tried clearing the apps data and reinstalling it.

Hey guys, i've got a strange problem with my google maps on android phone. Please read below.
Hardware: Samsung Galaxy S Bell's Vibrant, Spike 5.1 Speed mode
Problem: Doesn't work standart Maps app. How i said before it's really strange, because IT WAS WORKING 1 week ago with no problems and now it doesn't :/ When i'm clicking on the app icon everything i get is a blank Maps screen like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And nothing... No reaction for pushing any buttons, i can just use the home button to get back on my desktop screen. So, i can't understand where the roots of this problem, because i didn't do anything danger with my phone during this time. So might it depends of any software? Here's the log of programs i installed during this time: (Also was Adfree, but i uninstalled it first, because thought this problem appeared because of Adfree):
What i tried:
- Tried Uninstall/Install
- Tried find all garbage of Maps app and clean it (using by Root explorer)
- Tried restore the system using Clockwork addon (yesterday's backup, i haven't early one :/ )
So here's my problem . Any Ideas how to resolve it?
Anybody? ?
Hello people ..
I have my Desire HD Rooted and running with Revolution 2.0.2 ( a custom rom if you dont know ) .. The problem is that now its version 2.0.6 ( an update )
i use bought MyBackUp Pro to backup my stuff when i update.. but im tired of starting over everytime an update comes ..
Is there any way to do it in an easier way?
Thanks
As far as I know it's easest and more correctly way to upgrade firmware.
Oh, more easy way to not backup the apps and data. But you will not like it, believe me.
I use appbrain as you have a list of installed apps which are synced to your device, after a reformat/upgrade you can go to app brain and sync and it see the programs arent installed and puts them all back on for you, you have to click OK all the time to install though
Titanium Backup the best soft for backuping/restoring software.
It can save/restore not only programs, but it's data too.
I can't find what else I need for such purposes.

Yes, the new CM versions enforce SE-Linux and need a special recovery. It is linked in the CM11 thread.
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro (AT&T version - SM-P907A) & I've been trying to install xposed framework, but it won't work. It doesn't give me any error message, it just says "app not installed". I'm no stranger to rooting, but this is the first time I've ever had to post a question on the xda developers site. Usually I can find what I'm looking for already, but not this time :crying:
I don't know if I'll be able to post a screenshot of what happens as I've just barely registered, but I'm gonna try. I also have a rooted Motorola Droid 4 and I rooted & installed CM12 on an old Kindle Fire HD as well. (However, that's now been sold...) Anyways, I tried installing Xposed Installer on my Motorola, and it worked, so I'm thinking the problem is with my note pro, but any help on how to fix it would be awesome
Thank you!!

You know what , the quickest method would be to changet rom and install the rom with xposed already installed by the way use titanium backup for making backups if you fear data loss
I soft-bricked my OP7 Pro and used Mantauro's fix which got me back to stock with unlocked bootloader.
Netflix refuses to open, giving me the error message :

}
It also seems I cannot uninstall Netflix either.
Any ideas?
If you root it you should be able to remove it from priv-apps, that's usually where pre-installed apps are
I'm concerned about rooting. I think trying to root from a Mac is what caused the issue. Not my first rodeo, been rooting for years and followed the instructions to the T.
I'll try again on my wife's PC. Any suggestions for working method?

This method works just fine, just make sure you apply the correct version and install the latest Magisk Manager app first (7.2.0 just now) :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/guide-root-oneplus-7-pro-patched-boot-t3931205
Rooted - uninstalled Netflix, reinstalled and used Magisk Hide, still getting the not compatible message. Any ideas?
Never mind - restarted and it works now
