2nd life for opo - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
My opo is stripped out of it's case, no battery and screen, but it still turns on, however it feels like it's bootlooping. (I connect it through usb, my pc won't see anything, but the phone begins to vibrate every like 5-6 seconds)
Could someone please help me revive it? I plan on turning it into a small linux computer.

[Q] Interesting behaviour after phone went though a laundry cycle.

Looking for thoughts and suggestions.....
My Vadafone 845 (Huawei U8120) went through the wash the other day. I took the battery out as soon as I found it and let it dry out for 2 days... turned it on and nothing.
So I baked at 60 degrees for a couple hours (with the battery removed) and now it turns on but doesn't boot the OS. I just hangs on an hourglass in the middle of the screen.
Interestingly, the phone will not turn on when the charger is connected or if it is connected to USB. If I turn the phone on and then connect the USB, the phone doens't turn off... I can even remove the battery and the power via USB keeps it going. Unfortunately, the computer does not register that a device is connected.
Recovery and bootloader modes don't work.
I can however get into firmware update mode and was even able to successfully update the firmware.... with no change to the phones behavior.
So does anyone have any thoughts on how I might be able to resurrect my phone?

Dead GFlex2: get LG logo but no startup (or Recovery)

My LG G Flex 2 H950 was working fine, running google maps and playing music, plugged in to the car charger. Within minutes of leaving the car the phone was dead - I could not power it on. I can usually get it to show the LG logo by trying to start in Recovery Mode (holding the power and volume-down buttons for several seconds) but then the logo just disappears after a few seconds and the phone does not power on. But sometimes when I try this the red LED blinks on the phone screen and the logo may or may not appear. Sometimes (50%) when I plug the phone in to my Windows 10 desktop, the computer plays a tone to indicate a new device has been connected, but no icon appears in the list of hard drives or devices.
I think the battery is charging normally - when I connect the phone to a USB volt meter it usually (but not always) shows a normal amount of amperage flowing, and just now when I tried to start the phone it showed the battery charge icon on the phone screen (it doesn't usually do this) and showed 100% charge.
Is there anything else I can try, even if just to get the phone running long enough to backup my text messages etc?
Is there any way to test what's actually wrong? I'd hate to spend money on a new battery or charging port etc for a slim chance to temporarily fix a phone that seems like it's dying.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions...
Hey, i've got the same problem since today. i was watching youtube videos when the phone suddenly stopped working. did you already find the problem?
Sorry for my bad englisch ( Dutch)
No - not solved, phone still dead. Still would love to hear any advice...
I used to have the exact same problem as you - bootloops at the LG logo, no recovery etc. After some reading it seemed that the battery was the root of the problem, and after replacing the battery my phone was back to life - no issues ever since. I recommend you check if the battery is the issue by connecting it to a normal charger (i.e. not charging from a PC) and powering it on, by holding the power button at the battery charging screen. If it powers on normally then it's most likely a battery issue, which can be easily fixed. Cheers!

Recover data brick S6 Active

Hello people from this forum, I hope you doing alright and I hope I can find a solution for this.
I have a S6 Active that I really love a lot.
My problem start this weekend, my phone died at night, so I wake up and I plugged in to charge it and well.... I see the led of charging and everything was cool, I disconnected when was at 100%, I got my phone I left home so when I got out my car I drop my phone, so I crack the screen, bad luck when I comeback home I try to recover everything that I have, but the phone wont turn on, it have just a static white led and no response, no detect for my laptop, and obviously I cant see anything on the screen.
No combination on buttons works or something else.
When i try to turn it on a yellow led shows almost for half second then the white static one is on all the time, I don't know how much battery has because the screen, even I can tell if its charging cause don't show me any led.
There's a possibility that I can recover everything on it?
because I really need all my information.
Thank you.
Have you tried booting the device into download mode volume down + home + power?

Zenfone 5 Selfie/Lite (ZC600KL) stuck on ASUS logo

Hello! I could not find a section for my phone, so I am posting here.
My Zenfone 5 Selfie/Lite (ZC600KL) randomly "bricked". After being left alone charging for 20 minutes, when I came back it was turned off. Holding the power button resulted in the phone showing the "Powered by Android" logo, then the ASUS logo, and stop there.
I don't think it's a battery issue as it always lasted a long period of time; this is the first time anything like that happens, and might be the last. I also never tried meddling with my phone (rooting or the likes of it), so I'm pretty much clueless. I messed around with the phone, turning it on and off for a while, letting it run out of battery and charge it again, leaving it stuck on ASUS logo over night, to no avail.
Here are some things that I noticed that might help solve this problem:
1. After I connect the charger, the screen shows an empty charging battery along with the LED showing the red color (which means no battery). After 5 seconds, the screen turns on again by itself to show the true state of the battery, which is whatever % it is right now and the correct LED light (orange/green).
2. Turning on the phone makes the "low battery" buzz followed by a normal vibration. If it's charging, the "No battery" red LED shows.
3. I can turn on the fastboot mode by pressing Volume + and Power, but it only shows "CSC Fastboot mode!!! Long press power key to shutdown device". While on fastboot, my computer recognizes the phone is connected through USB, but I cannot access the phone's storage.
4. Pressing Volume - and Power does nothing besides restarting the phone.
My english isn't the best, so I apologize. If there's anything that I messed up and you can't understand, please do tell me.
P.S: Zenfone 5 Selfie is the same phone as Zenfone 5 Lite, but it is known by both names for some reason. Thanks for reading.

Exactly the same problem and phone I have here and Google research has been useless plus it appears this model phone has many firmware versions also
I have tried flashing firmware in fastboot mode but the ADB and fastboot tools won't work as it shows write protected as it appears bootloader is locked and am struggling with QPST also got so desperate to get phone working I even checked out some of those android repair software like DR fone then realised they want $70 USD and instantly removed the software haha
Hope we can get answers but seems like that maybe no one has solutions for this

Tablet won't turn on or charge

I have a generic Chinese tablet with Intel Atom Z3735F CPU. It came with Android 4.4 but since that's useless to me and since this CPU and chipset supports it, I wanted to try and install Windows 10 on it. I booted from a usb stick and Windows 10 setup started loading, but soon after that, screen turned black. I didn't even make it to setup language selection screen, meaning I didn't actually get to delete or install anything. (I doubt trying to install Windows had to do with anything since it didn't get far at all but I thought it is worth mentioning.) Now it won't turn on or charge. When I plug in the charger, screen flashes white for a split second every 20 seconds. There is no boot logo or anything.
I tried everything I can to fix it. So far I tried:
* Resetting by pressing power and volute down buttons at the same time (I tried power + volume up as well)
* Disconnecting the battery and waiting 24 hours.
* Charging for about 12 hours (It doesn't seem to charge and before the screen went black it had almost 70% charge)
But no matter what I did, it won't boot. When I plug in the charger or press the power button, screen just blinks white for a second and repeats blinking every 20 second. I can't even turn it off unless I remove the battery or press the power and volume down buttons. I am at a loss as to what to do. I don't see a reset button anywhere on the tablet and I don't have a usb jig. (Even if I could get a jig, I doubt it would work with this tablet)
Please give me advice as to how to fix this.
So... I am guessing no one has any ideas or suggestions?
