SIM not recognised after reboot - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
My Oneplus is currently on CM13.0 (6.0.1). Whenever I restart my phone it does not recognise the SIM. The only way for the SIM to be recognised again is to restart the phone around 6-10 times. This happened back when I was on CM12 so I flashed CM13 hoping that would resolve the issue. It did not.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
EDIT: TWRP version is 2.8.0.1
EDIT2: The issue was the SIM card. Replaced it and it's working fine now.

Try to check if your baseband is still showing something, instead of unknown, and check for IMEI too.
If baseband is unknown and IMIE is showing nothing, you have to flash Oxygen OS to get back your modem.
I had exactly the same problem.

The latest, I have 2 bacons, the China version seems to fine, but the US version had missing baseband(sim card cant be detected) and IMEI after clean flashed to Cyanogen OS 13.1.
I'm not sure if mine is same as your case, i basically factory reset COS13 via latest twrp, side loaded the Oxygen OS and the baseband was back.
Or may be you should try to check or clean your sim card?:good:

Brother are you trying with jio sim in india? If yes then forget about it and if no then do a fresh installation of cm 11 and then upgrade to next cm updates by OTA. If that doesnt helps then it might be problem with the network receptor. Cant help you with that.
Sim issue was common in OPO when it was launced so u can find some solution video on yoitube as well

Did you tried clean flash COS12.1 or Color OS.
This usually happens due to incompatible Modem with the firmware, bootloader combination.
I also experienced similar issue sometime back using Sultan's build, which is my primary OS right now.
check this post out and the thread.

Well I did the full stock rom to cos 11 updating it until the final incremental cos 13 but no success , never tried color Os I will look! any Rom in specific ?!
Try flashing latest CyanogenOS using fastboot:
https://cyngn.com/support
And if needed modems separately.
All the best!!
I had the same issue a few months ago with CM13 builds. My TWRP recovery was the problem. Try updaing it to the newest version.

i had a similar problem after OTA update to CM13.1. So upset I just waited a few days to calm down then went on here and found how someone said sim issues sometimes just need a new sim card. so i went down to my carrier metropcs and they put in a sim adapter for one thing my sim was nano and needed to be made to fit opo micro slot. then they did a refresh and it was good as if it never happened. cost me 15 bucks but worth it compared to what i thought i was up against.

Lost IMEI and baseband numbers after flashing custom software. Help with restoring.

Hi, I flashed xtrestolite on my phone and after booting up both my imei and baseband numbers became unknown; I now can't connect to my mobile network as my phone doesn't detect my sim.
I've tried to fix this issue by flashing other roms as well as flashing various official firmwares downloaded from sammobile to no avail.
I remember having the same issue with my gs3 and fixed it by flashing cyanogenmod. I tried this as well but the phone wouldn't boot up after flashing the unofficial version.
Could someone please help me with fixing this as I've been trying to for 3 weeks now.

The phone originally for vodafone uk and you flashed the latest firmware on it?. I think nothing can be done except restoring the imei from backup manually.

The phone was on version 6.0.1 and I flashed the same firmware versions. I deleted the backup of the original firmware unfortunately. So does this mean that nothing can be done to fix the phone?

Try reinitialize the phone using smart switch. Hopefully it could fix the broken imei. Flashing the correct firmware(odin/smart switch) sometimes helps to restore imei.

Thanks I'll try that when I get home from work.

My SM-G955FD cannot connect to any network.

Hello guys!
I have a SM-G955FD. Bought it two months ago and was working perfectly fine till 2 days ago when all of sudden it cannot connect or register on a network. I had 2 sims in it and neither could connect to any network. Instead, it displays this on the status bar instead of the usual bars.
The sim cards work perfectly fine with other phones. The device detects both sim cards.
I have to checked to see if it's an imei error but it is present and it is not blacklisted either.
I factory reset it and it didn't fix it. I reflashed the firmware and it didn't work either.
Also, I cannot dial *#*#4636#*#* either. It says mobile network is unavailable.
Any suggestions?
Weird, did you get this working?
Can you get to the diagnostic menu?

Yeah, I can to the menu. What should I do there?
Unknown imei status.
Hello,
This happened to me yesterday and yes I freaked out. It turns out in my case even after flashing other roms I was still having the same problem where sims were not being detected and imei was unknown status. My fix was reflashing baseband. I used latest baseband from the renovate ice website. Hope this may work for you.

I am unable to post links.
Please visit Renovate Ice website, go to firmware and choose the 1st OPTION 'CRI5', download and flash via twrp.
Good luck.
