What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Such a nice rom. Clean, smooth and light. Great job!
Edit: As with the latest versions of nuclea, the 'Select sim for calls' option is greyed out and only sim 2 can be used for calls. I have tried resetting network settings, but to no avail. This is on a clean install, with only rom and gapps installed. I have even switched both the sims into 2G, but the thing persists. Any idea/solution?

Well haven't checked for missed calls or other notifications but it certainly works while charging. Should work for other notifications including missed calls too.

Actually mate, the ROM is AOSP based, and changing to circle battery icon was never an issue on AOSP based ROMs. However that issue in CyanogenMod based ROMs still persists.

Just try milos layers, which its works fine on your glade rom, but as you see here on slim???

Battery backup is almost same in every android N

Definitely not a daily driver currently
OK, we will wait for future updates(If there is) (sorry for my bad english).
I've used this for like 2-3 hours.
Disabled the on screen nav bar and using with pixel launcher
Pros:
1) Very much smooth almost 300-400MB ram remains empty depending on how many apps running in the background
2) Omni Switch works just great making navigation and switching among apps absolutely flawless and
3) DSP manager for Music got different sound modes, equalizer configured at different intensities which works surprisingly good so if you are music enthusiast you will love this feature
And clock from Omni has new design which looks good.
Cons:
1) Main camera video recording is shaky
2) No traffic indicator for Internet up/down speed
3) No capacitive (hard keys) button mapping for multiple functions (but Omni switch makes the navigation so good you won't feel need of capacitive button)
It's too soon to comment on battery backup, seems okay now....
Conclusion :
You will definitely like the Omni switch, DSP manager(equilizer) for Music and design, cons are very minor with compare to pros:good:
The best CM14.1 yet.

see here.... i have been using it since yesterday.... smooth and fluid.... nd giving good battery backup than many other roms From 96% to 44% with continuous data on and WhatsApp and YouTube and got almost 5 hours SOT

this is custom rom brother.... you wont have any xiaomi related account or cloud :/
i flashed the rom but no RIL sim is not detecting i flashed all the patches but no luck .. i flashed the modem alone but still no lock.....

it also happened to me..... what i did is
1. Flash rom and gapps and boot rom
2. Reboot to recovery again and flash the cm setup patch and video calling patch and simply reboot
3.Voila its working ..... give it a try
If I may ask, I have few questions for you @ShubhamPaul12.
1) Speaking till now this one is the third AOKP rom for land based on Android M. How is this different from the other two?
2) Will you be updating this rom or will you leave it as other two devs did!

1.This rom has the volte logo and pixel accent which is diff from other roms.... for peeps who like those customization and feature repectively in it
2. If i find something new which could be added i will positively do that but as of now there is nthng i cn see which needs any change :/ bt if i do find i will for sure

i have used redmi 3s prev so its a habbit for us there.
make a new apn as
name - jio
apn - jionet
server - www.google.com
apn type - default,supl
ipv6/ipv4

This is the best rom by reloaded yet.
Here's a small Summary-
Volte working
Fingerprint working
Data working
Screen recording working.
MI camera working so no dark video.
Flash the recent fix zip and recents will work
No battery drain yet.
Magisk works for root.
Not working-
I really don't know what isn't working. Someone help me lol.
Was pretty satisfied with DU. Glad I switched to XenonHD.

Actually i haven't faced the network drop issue in any of the oreo roms. I only faced it once during the setup of AICP 13, I think.
I don't know why everyone is facing that issue.

Hm I guess your network signal is quite strong.. I noticed when signal is strong There is almost no network drops... But well it's my assumption not sure what's the issue for sure?

For oreo roms use 3.2.1 twrp! Also do a factory reset (formatting internal memory) so that you won't get any device encrypted issue!
HW buttons remapping is not available. Hope this will get implemented in upcoming build for now flashed the recent fix. Other modification are working perfectly especially they are available in this ROM. Night light is also Woking. So thanks to the Dev for his great work...?
