Oh I have never seen such a warning.
Try renaming the image and booting.

Hey guys,
I know this isn't really the place to ask but I've searched the forums here as well as Google searched to no avail.. So I figured it was worth a shot asking here.
My father bought the THL Knight 2 online from China recently and is having issues making and receiving calls. Oddly though, sending and receiving texts works well without issues.
We've tried using 4 different SIM cards from 4 other carriers with the same result. (Canada - Bell, Rogers, Koodo, and Freedom Mobile)
With that being said, I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if there was a solution?
Would rooting the phone make a difference?

If you bought from China shop , you had most likely bought a device with a Chinese firmware and/or hardware. The China man normally would not advise you on this risk, they just want to close the deal. Let look at a few details, (I am more versed in MTK SoC, therefore I will give examples from MTK experiences but it is applicable to all models).
I bought 2 pieces of Lenovo Tab a8-50Hx from 2 different source at 2 different time. One was bought with local manufacturer warranty and the other was bought with shop warranty. For Lenovo the firmware is separated into ROW (Rest of the World) and CN (China only) versions. Because the telephone modem (hardware) operates on different band in China.
Coming back to my experience 3 of my Lenovo models are hardware compatible with ROW firmware and one of the Tab A8-50 was using a bastardised China firmware so , I couldnt use my 3G SIM on that device but after careful inspection the board (hardware) part number was the same with my orginal ROW version, so all I had to do is to reflash my ROW firmware over the "bastardised" China firmware and it works perfectly.
However there are devices that are manufactured for PRC market only and not sold elsewhere. These models have their GSM/CDMA/LTE modems that caters to their local market (hardware) and if you try to reflash a stock ROW version firmware on these would at best result in a dead telephone function, no 3G/4G ,no SMS, clls or worst case scenario your device will fail to boot up.
But I believe the Knight 2 uses the same hardware. Please check the box for details, WARNING please check the part number for your device versus the localised (sold by your THL country distributor) part number on the box. If everything is OK you can try to reflash the ROW firmware. (http://en.thl.com.cn/SupportDetails.aspx?id=492) but DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! If the hardware is the same your US/Canada SIM should work but recommended are AT&T, T-Mobile or their affiliates.
If trying to root I suggest using "Kingroot" + Busybox

it's still possible to change your provider from smartfren to other cdma prov.
but you cant make the GSM into 3G
to change provider : go to kaskus, android subforum, i remembered it well that one stickied thread is about injecting CDMA provider.

I have successfully unlocked (*sort of) 1st Gen Andromax U (the dual core version).
*it may hasn't been really unlocked since the slot 1 now won't accept any CDMA RUIM card anymore, but instead accepts all GSM SIM card with HSDPA support (only 2100Mhz though).
the key to unlock it is to flash stock innos i6c kernel and baseband (the original chinese version), but the tricky part is to force flash the kernel and the baseband as it seems that they (andromax u and chinese i6c) have different emmc partition size/layout, I hard-bricked the phone at the first and second attemps (you know, resulting the infamous qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008, but it's easily fixed using jtag), but succeed in the third time I tried.
note:
1. What I've done is proven to make slot1 accepts GSM SIM card with HSDPA 2100Mhz support (not the same as the cheap old trick that the GSM in slot1 is only limited to EDGE).
2. in Indonesia, all GSM network carriers use 2100Mhz as their 3G/3.5G band, so it's a good news anyway.
3. It now doesn't support any CDMA RUIM anymore.
4. It's very likely will void your phone warranty whatever the result you will get.
5. There are some kind of user agreements printed outside the packaging box about unlocking the phone and some other legal consequence things, so read those first before deciding/trying to unlock it.
6. You buy the phone without contract, yes that's true, but smartfren has subsidized the price of it and locked it in order to make (to force) owners of the phones to use their services, it's how they get the revenue.
7. I don't want to share the details of how to flash innos i6c kernel and baseband because of point no. 5.

however, i will answer it if asked through private message, but i won't provide any singe link to the files and tools that are needed even if you beg me or pay me, unless you've got written permission from smartfren to unlock your andromax u/ andromax u le.

How to root LG G Stylo Cricket?

So I got a LG G Stylo from the cricket store and I tried rooting it several times, but to no luck. I was wondering if anyone has a rooting method for an LG G Stylo from cricket, and if not, is anyone currently working on it?
(The LG G Stylos is new to Cricket I think)
Thank you.

It is. They don't appear to be selling though, at least according to the Cricket stores I frequent.
As for root...I wish I knew what to tell you. Not enough people have this phone apparently to discover a root exploit. I suspect what a lot of Cricket users do is bring unlocked phones to Cricket instead of buying Cricket-branded phones like the H634.
If root is that important to you (I know it is to me), is it too late to return it for another phone?

I think you meant to reply to CyberVgamer, not me. I don't have the phone, I was just trying to offer suggestions to help him.
But now I'm curious. If your root method (that's your root method in your signature, right?) works on the Tmobile/MetorPCS variants, and if it works here (depending on if CyberVgamer uses your method otherwise we won't know), that means there's little difference between the models.
I was wondering where to put this, but why not here:
I wanted to unlock the Tmobile version, since its far more powerful than the Cricket version. But Tmobile blocks the unlock menu and forces you to use their proprietary unlocking app. Sites claim to unlock it using Tmobile's very own unlocking ap, but I'm skeptical.
I saw someone on another forum (or was it here? ) who unlocked the phone as it was intended (waited however many days is required), and once its unlocked the app goes away. Well he had to wipe the phone for whatever reason, and the app came right back. He simply opened it, requested the unlock again, and the app went away again. But that told me that app is baked into the rom.
Soooo playing a hunch I went to a Cricket store and input the code to pull up the unlock menu on LG devices on their version of the G Stylo, the H634. Voila, came right up. Apparently if you try this on the H631 either it won't come up or some nag screen about calling Tmobile customer service will come out, I don't know.
My point? I was going to ask in the H/MS631 root thread if its possible to install the Cricket firmware onto the Tmobile variant. Basically take the stock rom of the H634 and install it via twrp onto the H631. I say was cause when I thought about it, I thought the only thing that could happen was a BRICK since even though its practically the same phone, SOMETHING must be different to prevent this. But if the same root method can possibly be used, now I wonder.

last time someone wanted to Root this device (Cricket variant) we ask him if there was a KDZ available just to be in the safe side in case you try to Root using any root method , b'cuz you may end up with Root or with a soft-brick device, so keep that in mind.

(btw, I tried what it says on the screen.. did nothing.. also trying to flash a new rom did nothing)
I know little about Motorola phones and rooting in general... all i can do is "root" samsung with silly Odin software (easymode right?)
I gave the phone to a friend and after some examination he said that somehow my little brother managed to "delete and/or corrupt" the phones main partition. whatever that means... He was unable to do a hard reset because at some point the phone said there was a problem with one of the partitions.
Now.. while I dont know much about android and motorola, im great following directions.
is there a humanly possible way to fix this?
I can get to this menu below, but everything I touch goes back to bootloader message:
Additional info with numbers mumblejumble:
Thanks in advance,
Dan.
Hi @dangadelha and welcame to XDA formun!
The Moto G phones are very much, not is only one, you are in the section of the forum of the most popular and old moto G, the phone that changed the history of smartphones. Your Moto G have a date of build of 2014 and a model "xt1066" that means that you bought it in America latina, so brazil or argentina. So you probabily tried to flash a rom of Moto g 2013 into 2014, so doesn't boot, is normal.
You can go on your forum section to find the rom for your model (code name "titan") https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014
I have also find a good guide in your language: https://emersonbarros.com.br/moto-g-4-4-4-reinstalando-firmware-original/

Have you actually asked your brother as to how he has messed up the phone? The Moto G 2014 IS KNOWN TO HAVE THE PERMA-READ-ONLY EMMC BUG whereby attempting to install anything will not work, and performing a factory reset will result in the defective phone rebooting to the current OS it has on it. What if he unlocked the bootloader to try and fix said bug in an act of desperation? I remember doing this just to try to get it to work, but to no avail.
I'm not sure exactly what is so dire. All that screen means is that the bootloader had been unlocked.
All you have to do to get rid of that warning is search the appropriate forum for your specific phone model and find a modified boot file which removes that annoying message.
You should be on the forums for the Moto G2.

Speaking of that, if that is all it is, then I say to the OP that either he reinstalls the OS and relock the bootloader, or he goes and follow the instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/fix-remove-unlocked-bootloader-warning-t2875385

SM-G900F but on recovery mode 900V - what did i buy?

I bought a few months ago SGS 5 (allegedly) SM-900F, it has a firmware (Baseband version - G900FXXU1GPE1) and the imei pages tells the same thing - it's 900F, but the problem is after 2 months from buying I could not send an sms from my UK GiffGaff number - i could call or use data. I tried many things but sms still does not work. At the begining I colund't send sms only from stock app but maybe 3 weeks later any apps from google play said the same thing "review the message and try again". I wanted to update firmware -G900FXXS1CQD1_G900FOXA1CPJ6_G900FXXS1CQAV_HOME.tar.md5 but in the recovery mode it says SM-900V so I'm so confused, how it's possible and what should I do in order to properly use the phone - call+SMS+data usage (4g)
Should I install G-900V firmware? Would it help? The ebay seller is a conman and I cannot even open a dispute beacuse it's too late now. It is a F***ing joke.
I know its USA Verizon phone but I live in the UK and have Giffgaff sim card.
Please help me with this one.

I tried many things but sms still does not work...

The G900F (International Variant) can be installed on the G900V (U.S. Verizon Variant).
If your device reflects the G900V on the Odin Download Screen, then that's what you have.
Typically when this happens is because someone had the Verizon Variant and couldn't use it because of where they lived and had to install the International Variant in order to use the device.
Nothing wrong with a G900F on a G900V but, I can't state on what to do because I've never done this before.
Here's just a few threads discussing this same thing.

I bought a XT2005-5, I look for the phone and apparently in every place says every model could use GSM/HDSPA/LTE 900 band abut apparently it can't, I made a little bit more of research and I found that other models (XT2005-1, XT2005-2 , etc) has different compatibility settings, are this setting all software base so I could chenge then with a firmware flash or are they hardware base and I have to use another carrier?

I'm actually not in the US right now, I am in Venezuela, but carriers here does not have any kind of restrictions with any kind of phones, the only requirement is a clean IMEI (which the phone has) and the phone to be able to function with the proper band, right now I can't use any other SIM, but tomorrow I will try a SIM from another carrier if you need that info
Diag mode
I nead you help to enable diag mode for
Moto E6
I'm a little confused as I'm the only one who has ever owned my phone and I came across this showing a different user and why is there a host?
Can this moto e6 (xt2005dl) on simple mobile be flashed or unlocked to cricket wireless?
Can my phone support a custom ROM? It's an XT2005DL.
I'm looking at a custom ROM for two reasons:
To completely stop the auto updates and security updates (which I thought I'd totally disabled).
I don't like that Android 9 is SO integrated with Google's apps (Phone, voicemail, messaging) and would like to use non-Google apps for those features - preferably with free alternatives.
The phone is carrier unlocked (if that matters) and on TotalWireless/Tracfone.
