**You can begin the following process from any Build but you must already have Root Access**
**Required** [root] FlashFire
Download:
- G930P_PF2_Stock_Debloated_ROM.zip
1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Open the FlashFire app, grant root access, and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Press "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Use the default settings under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and set "Reboot" to "Download."
6. Press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash . The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition.
7. Once the flash is complete and the device reboots into "Download" mode, flash the G930P_PF2_Stock_Modem_Recovery_Bootloader using Odin's AP slot. The device will take 10 - 15 mins for the first boot!
8. To regain root access, re-run "root.bat" once the device has fully rebooted. Make certain usb debugging is enabled. Enjoy!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Notes:
1. The above process will not affect your Knox Warranty Flag.
2. The above process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Bootloader, and Stock Recovery.
3. The ROM will automatically wipe all User Data!

keep getting 2 errors upon loading up "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and "Unfortunately Phone Info has stopped
Do those errors affect the ROM, as in not being usable?
I get the same errors. It makes it almost impossible to complete the initial setup

Is it possible to get by it tho? I wana try it
I got to the home screen still does it. Don't know the issue and its not exactly easy to start back over lol reflash stock. Root. Try to activate restore lol

I can't get it to work also keep getting phone info not working error that won't go away and can't get through the initial setup.
I will take the rom down until i have a chance to look into the error. Stay tuned...
EDIT: Replaced the ROM with a "non-deodexed," debloated version. It seems the currently available deodexing tools don't work well with this build.
I got it set up and it still does it... gonna have to go back to stock, lol
The problem here may be that whenever the OP put this rom together, he might have taken a application out that the rom needs for the phone to work properly. No biggie, he or she just needs to figure out which app needs to be put back for the error to stop popping up...
Edit: at least that is my take on this situation. Someone can correct me if im wrong...

You may be right. I seen he has dropped a few rom. Maybe something that can be debloated from att and tmo has to be left in sprint. Maybe just drop one just deodexed and leave bloat. Just a thought. Hell i dunno I just appreciate the thought for him to give us a rom. Hell dev action is low here.

This. Debloating is not the issue.
Anyway, the current debloated, odexed ROM in the OP has been tested and seems to be working fine. Also, part of the reason for posting it is to encourage others to use it as a base to begin developing new ROM's.

Quick question.... downloaded the new OC4 Tether Addon from your link above and the filename says remove??? I'm pretty sure you had posted earlier in one of your other threads a method to remove the tether addon so you could take the OTA, but I'm trying to flash the stock root OC4 and want to enable the tether. Just wanted to make sure I got the right file. Thanks.

Awesome! Got it. Thanks so much for your help!
Thank you! Been looking for a native tethering fix. Worked perfect!
Sent from my SM-G900V using XDA Free mobile app
So, I've followed the other post to obtain root with 5.0 and have enabled tethering following this method on both mine and my wife's S5. The tethering works good, but I've noticed that the only thing we can't access is Netflix over tether to either PC or DVD Player. I have searched for a solution and haven't been able to come up with anything.
Have any suggestions?
We are on a grandfathered unlimited plan, and all phones previous to our S5 we were able to root and use Wifi Tether for Root Users without any problems. This is the first time we have used the Native Tethering app (only because I couldn't get Wifi Tether for Root Users to work on the S5).
Ok, flashed this, but how do we use it? I know this sounds dumb, but do we just turn Hotspot on, or....?
This didn't work for me. Flashfire worked fine but when I go to enable hotspot, I am told to contact Verizon. Tried reflashing but still no luck. Any ideas?
EDIT/UPDATE: I must have had the wrong file even though it was the same exact file name. Make sure the file size is 8.85 MB. I had to download from another site since OP link doesn't work.
Link fixed.
Very very useful mod. Coming from FoxFi on S3 , appreciate just being able to pull down the drawer and enable "Mobile Hotspot" in one quick click.

Any instructions for the OK3 version?
Hello guys, I open a Question and Answer Thread for all SuperMan Rom users, so even users under 10 posts can ask their questions here.
Below I added some basic Q&A stuff which can also be found at the main thread, if you have any question, read through them before posting, thanks!
In case you search for the changelog have a look: Changelog post
If you want to see my post with all useful links such as TWRP, magisk, xposed and more visit: useful post
Basic Questions:
Q: How to get into Download Mode?
A: Power off your phone, than hold: home + volume down + power on button until you see the download mode.
Q: How to get into Recovery Mode?
A: Power off your phone, than hold: home + volume up + power on button until you see the recovery mode.
Q: My Phone is stuck at boot and doesn't start, what to do??
A: Update your bootloader and modem. Also make sure you have made a fresh install of the rom. Bootloader and Modem can be found in the OP. Another problem can be that you are didn't decrypt your phone. To fix this read below how to disable encryption.
Q: Do I need to update bootloader and modem after every update?
A: It's recommend to update your bootloader and modem everytime there is a new base yes. The developer will tell you if necessary on every rom changelog.
Q: I get verification failed at start up!?!? My phone is broken now?
A: Yes, you have to buy a new phone now. Just kidding You did not disable force encryption in TWRP (how to do so you will find below in how to decrypt your phone).
Q: I get verification FRP LOCK? WHYYYYYY???
A: Very simple answer, you did not enable OEM Unlock in developer options. Now you need to flash full rom with odin again and start from scratch. But don't forget to enable OEM Unlock this time!
Q: Which devices are supported at the moment?
A: Current supported devices are: SM-G930F/FD/K/L/S/W8. Snapdragons are NOT supported
Q: Is this rom working on Snapdragon 820 variants?
A: No, sadly not.
Q: I want to change something in my rom setup, how can I do that?
A: Simply reflash the same rom version without any wipe and than choose the correct things you want.
Q: Some features are not present in this rom, but they are on stock rom, so where are they?
A: In aroma installer you have the option to select bloat you want to install or not, you probably didn't select all package, this is why it's missing now.
Q: After a clean install my phone is overblated with many custom settings. What to do?
A: Open my romcontrol, grant it root permissions and then my default settings will be applied.
Q: Will you add X or Y feature?
A: You can kindly ask in the thread for that, if I like your suggestion I will think about adding it to the rom.
Q: You said you fixed SD card RW but Titanium Backup can't write to external SD card, why???
A: This is because of googles changes concerning SD card, to fix this open Titanium Backup, Menu, Preferences, Backup Folder Location, Storage provider and than hit DocumentProvider Storage and select your SD card. Problem solved
Q: I can't find X and Y mod. Please help
A: I've added many links and useful stuff to this post here. Hope that's what you have been looking for!
Q: I want to have my external storage like an internal as well. Google introduced it with android Marshmallow, but I can't see this option?
A: Just follow this Guide here and you can setup your SD card as normal storage
Q: I got a new strange icon appearing after nougat update. What's that?
A: This is a new advanced calling feature introduced in android nougat. Should make your call quality better or something like this. To hide it please visit following forum: Get rid of RCS icon
Questions concerning rom updates:
Q: Do I have to do a full wipe for the new version?
A: It is always the best option to make a clean install, otherwise please don't come and report bugs!
Q: But I don't want to make a full wipe when only small stuff changed!
A: For updates using the same bases you can install the rom with a dirty flash. BUT with a new base a clean install is highly recommend!
Q: What steps should I do to update to a new version with a full wipe but keep all data?
A: There are some different ways. One way is to make a backup with Titanium Backup, you can backup all Apps and Preferences there. Make sure to store this backup on external SD card (if you have one). Second way would be to save your data onto a google account or samsung cloud and restore it after a clean install.
Q: I miss an apk after rom update, how can I get it back?
A: Simply reflash rom and select "dirty flash" in aroma + select the app this time in aroma.
Q: My battery life is so bad and performance is very poor after an update!?!?
A: This comes actually not form the rom itself, dirty flash can cause problems even if only some small things have been changed. So simply install it clean again and it will solve your problem.
Q: Performance and battery is very poor even after clean install. What should I do now?
A: I assume you installed Xposed than, some modules can cause batterydrain and performance problems. So try to make a clean install of the rom WITHOUT xposed installed.
Questions about log and logcats:
Q: I got FC's and other Problems with the rom, what to do?
A: Take a logcat for me, developers use to say: without a log, it never happened . A logcat can be grabed with a PC and ADB installed, simply type: adb logcat > log.txt while your phone is connected and the error is happening. Same can be done if you have a terminal installed on your phone. Simply type adb logcat > log.txt and you will have the same output as on the PC.
Q: What kind of logs can I provide to help you?
A: Logcat: This one is for general infos about FC's
DMESG: this is for kernel related things
Last_Kmsg: this can be used after a random reboot
Q: How to get logs?
A: 1. Connect your phone to your pc
2. Make sure you got usb debugging enabled
3. Install Minimal ADB tool
4. After install open it and type: adb logcat > logcat.txt, adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log, adb shell cat proc/last_kmsg kmsg.log
5. Send me the file you got
You can also send me a log created by your phones terminal with the exact same commands!
Questions about RomControl:
Q: None of my romcontrol changes do anything, why are you such a bad dev!?!?
A: The problem is not on my end, you installed stock systemUI (which is STOCK and does not support one single mod). Use another one in aroma instead. The same thing can happen with good lock!
Q: Romcontrol gives FC's to me. HELP!
A: Very simple answer here: wipe data and cache from superman control application. Also make sure storage permissions are given to the romcontrol.
Q: Romcontrol still FC after cleaning data and cache!
A: Make sure you allow storage permission in main settings.
Q: I try to backup my current RomControl setup, but it won't work?
A: It works. Just make sure to enable storage permission in main samsung applicatoin settings. You will find it in internal sdcard under RomControl folder.
Q: I can't restore SuperMan control settings after a clean base update, why?
A: Backup for SuperMan control only works as long as you use the same version of the app, I mostly change very much things in new releases that's why it won't work there.
Q: SystemUI reboot doesn't work in SuperMan settings app, why?
A: Since Nougat update, you need to install busybox in order to get this button working. Without busybox the button will just do nothing.
Q: I enabled weather on lockscreen but I can't see anything...
A: You probably didn't setup or even installed samsungs weather widget. Without it weather on lockscreen won't work too. So reflash the rom with the widget installed this time and set it up.
How to go back to stock:
Q: I like to go back to stock rom, how is this possible?
A: I can provide you here all steps which are needed to go back to a full stock rom.
0. Make a backup and than wipe all partitions in TWRP
1. Go to Sammobile and choose your country
2. Download the file and the attached Odin on sammobile
3. After downloading, put your phone into download mode
4. Make sure drivers are installed and your pc can detect your phone in odin
5. If the box in odin turns blue, add the AP file to AP tab, BL file to BL tab, CP file to CP tab and CSC_HOME to CSC tab
6. Hit start and wait until it is finished.
7. Reboot and you have a stock rom again
Questions about Encryption:
Q: On TWRP there is an error about /data mount, what to do?
A: Your device is encrypted, follow the steps below to get rid of your encryption.
Q: Help, I never had a code and now after installing the rom my phone asks for a password??
A: Your device is still encrypted, on step 0 of my rom instructions it tells you to be sure you're not. So, what do you need to to in case you are still encrypted.
A: HOW TO DISABLE ENCRYPTION:
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Select Wipe
3. Select format data
4. Then you manually need to type "yes" with the keyboard
5. Confirm the wipe (this will remove the encryption)
6. Reboot your recovery
Q: Is there a way to get rid of encryption which is simpler?
A: Not really, you could also wipe data with stock recovery but this is quite a big hassle so above method works better.
Q: And if I want to use this rom with encryption?
A: Normally we can use the stock kernel to encrypt our device, but since the Android 7.0 Nougat update samsung makes a check kernel sides to block deodexed roms from booting. This means that even the stock kernel is build by me to disable knox and tima. So encryption won't work there and you have to encrypt your device after you set up your phone. After that go to settings, security, encrypt device. It may need some additional steps to work...
Questions about CSC/Signal:
Q: Where has the CSC selection gone?
A: To include all csc files, the rom get way to big, so it got it's own thread now, take a look here: CSC installer
Q: I have a weak cellular signal, what can I do against it?
A: Two things: first, install your providers CSC using CSC installer and flash in TWRP or flashing stock CSC with Odin. Second Thing: You can install the modem from your provider, also find your modem on Sammobile and install it with Odin in CP tab.
Q: I don't have all sHealth features, how come?
A: Not all CSCs include this feature. I recommend to use AUT or DBT as it has the best compatibility!
Q: Can I flash MM CSC on N and vis a verse?
A: No, this is clearly not recommend! You can and will face call fc's!
Questions about Xposed:
Q: Does Xposed work yet on Android N 7.0?
A: No it does not! You will end up in a bootloop when you flash it on android N
Q: I selected xposed but now I don't see an app for it?
A: Maybe there went something wrong with installing the app to /data/app from my installer script. But xposed is actually installed only the app is missing, so head over to the download page of xposed app: Material Xposed Thread
Q: I selected xposed but the app shows not active or something else with xposed is not working.
A: This can have 2 reasons:
1. You have installed latest xposed version without installing magisk, magisk is required for most recent xposed version!
2. You used 86.2 xposed (which does not need magisk) but you did not install supersu. Since 86.2 does not use magisk to be systemless it uses supersu instead!
Questions about Magisk:
Q: How can I pass safetynet?
A: 1. Make sure to fully uninstall SuperSU by chainfire
2. Flash most recent 2.4.3 SuperStock Kernel
3. Flash Magisk V12
4. install latest Magisk Manager from playstore
5. Open Magiks Manager, go to settings
6. Enable MagiskHide, systemless hosts and systemless busybox
7. Reboot the phone and check safetynet!
Q: I got out of date binary issue?
A: Since Magisk V11.1 there is no need for phh root anymore. Everything is handled inside the MagiskManager apk!
Q: Where can I configure the root settings in Magisk?
A: Since Magisk V11.1 Magisk uses MagiskSU, you can find it in latest Magisk Manager V4.1
Questions about Snapchat:
Q: Even when I did not use xposed during my setup in rom I can't login to snapchat anymore!
A: Snapchat got updated and now detects even root access on your phone!
Q: What to do to login to snapchat then?
A: Clean install the rom without root and xposed and login to your snapchat, save the app with titanium backup, flash back xposed and root. For the next update of the rom just restore snapchat backup in TB.
Q: Any other possibility?
A: You could enable MagiskHide and check Snapchat inside it so root will be hidden from Snapchat. You will be able to perfectly login without any issues.
Q: I want to discuss this problem a bit deeper. Should I do so?
A: Do that, but this has nothing to do with this rom, so please go ahead and post your experience here on this Snapchat Thread.
Questions about Kernels:
Q: I want to switch kernel, how?
A: Since we have systemless xposed and systemless supersu, we have patches in ramdisk of boot.img. This means you have to reflash Magisk and supersu (or any other zip that changes some stuff in ramdisk partition) after every change of kernel!
Q: Synapse shows no UCI support!
A: Most comon issue is that no busybox is installed. Download the one from here: Latest busybox and flash it in recovery.
Q: I got random reboots, heeelp!
A: This is most likely from a custom kernel, if you face random reboots please check if you have the latest kernel installed or switch back to the stock kernel included in the rom.
Q: My screen is kind of yellow/orange and the touchscreen doesn't work at all!
A: You have chosen the wrong kernel in aroma selection. Reflash the rom without any wipe selecting the right kernel version.
Questions about Root:
Q: I lost root after installing this rom. What to do?
A: All mods (like supersu, phh's root, xposed and magisk) are stored in ramdisk of kernel boot.img. So if you flash this rom, and after this another kernel, simply reflash your preferred root method and it will work again!
Q: I selected phh root but my phone tells me I am not rooted!!
A: There are two possibilities:
1. You have mixed supersu/phh with magisk.
2. You did not install phhs root app from playstore.
Q: I get a warning about binary out of date. Help!
A: That happens on latest Magisk V11.1. Reason: Root has fully moved into Magisk Manager, no additional app required. Uninstall phh or supersu apps and only use magisk!
Q: I want to use su hide on my phone, how to do so?
A: Both below variants are outdated, I recommend to use Magisk with its build in MagiskHide. Check the thread: Magisk Thread
Link to phh's hidesu: Phh's thread
Link to chainfires suhide: Chainfires thread

There are several reasons:
1. Encryption is still enabled
2. BL/CP was not successfull
3. You mixed your settings about G930F or G935F model
I noticed a few things in aroma log when it was installing

Right at this point I am wondering why snapchat doesn't want to log me in. There's no xposed or snapprefs on my phone, exposed uninstaller was flashed. Does this come familliar? There has to be a workaround without having to use bluestacks right?

Someone said that it even checks for root now
Okay, here's the solution. If you find yourself having trouble logging in in to snapchat on a rooted device without xposed framework installed. Make sure to search for xposed using root explorer, delete all system files manually.. For some reason xposed uninstaller did not completely remove every xposed file in my phone.

is there a chance it could brick the phone?
I hired someone not super familiar with flashing a custom rom, but who knew more than me. We got MM installed but I am having some problems. First, the only reason, I updated the rom was to get mirroring. However: 1. there is no mirroring, but there is cast. I have a Tab 4 and mirroring works perfectly with it and KitKat. I tried about 5 mirroring apps from the Play Store and they all require that the Smart TVs I have (Samsung and LG) be connected to the Internet because using the TV's internet connection is a major nuisance for me. That is not required with my KK Mirroring, and I am wondering whether I should get rid of MM and flash KK. Or, is there an app that will work without mirroring. 2. My SD card is now invisible. When I link my Tab to my windows 7 computer, my SD card doesn't show. (Additionally, come to think of it, none of my files show. All I get is an image of 5100, but when I click on it nothing shows on my windows 7 computer.) 3. Probably related to No. 2 -- Some apps seem to install, but I have no way to access them because no shortcut is placed on the screen and I have no tree of files. (Titanium Backup for instance, can't be accessed. However, when I downloaded ai-keyboard, it mostly worked)
Hate to ask so many questions, but this is what I now have. Would call the person who did the flash, but his wife is due any day, and for all I know, gave birth yesterday.
which M Rom did you installed? kindly mention Rom and recovery build number as well.
are you using any other home launcher than the default? how did you installed titanium backup? normal or copy pasted apk to the system partition?
have you checked the luncher setting? for instance I can hide some apps from the nova launcher but can find it with it's search bar.
check with the default launcher or any other.
did you unlocked the tab while it was connected to your pc? did you changed the mode to MTP?
I haven't tested screen mirroring with this device. although I checked briefly with a Samsung S, S4 and a G3 on a LG smart tv with webOS 3 using LG TV plus app, I had to be on a same network with wifi hotspot enabled from my device (didn't required a working internet) and selecting LG tv plus option from the TV.
I still haven't been used to with screen mirroring and cast. so others can help.
Hi Billys,
Thanks a lot for your response. My Internet has been down for about 2.5 days and that is the reason I am late responding to you. The CM version was 13.0.20160222-2140-UNOFFICIAL -P5110. The CM Recovery Version was GT-P5113 CM Recovery 6.0.1.0.tar.
The Launcher is the default that comes with MM. I installed Titanium Backup through the Google Play Store. I have been fooling around with the device and Root checker basic says that root access is not properly installed, which might explain why Titanium Backup is not working. Also, SuperSu won't open.
You asked me: "did you unlocked the tab while it was connected to your pc? did you changed the mode to MTP?" Don't understand the questions, particularly the second one. If you could be more explicit maybe I could answer the question. Thanks again for your help.

when you connect the tab to PC, there is a logo of CM in the status bar, drag the notification menu, and tap the CM menu, there, check If MTP is enabled or it's set on charging only mode. you can also set this in setting-developer. make sure the keypad is not locked as well

install the latest twrp by using cwm. after install reboot back into recovery. you shuold see the graphical differences between twrp and cwm.
To make a long story short, it appears that my Superuser is misbehaving. Used root checker to analyze and it found that Superuser was installed and that SU Binary files were installed. However, it found a Root User Account Error. (Error: stderr: null, stdout: null, exit..value: 1) It suggested that I reinstall Superuser app from TWRP. .
After much experimentation, I can get into TWRP when I reboot in the recovery mode. (not when I hit the icon on home page -- tells me I need root access) When I hit install, I see CWM 13, An android 4.4 (omni-4-4-4-20160305-1323 expresso-HOMEMADE.zip) and a gapp 6 --- a long time ago when I downloaded 4.4, I didn't know how to get to the corresponding gapp, so I didn't do so. Also, SuperUser doesn't show up at this place, so I don't know how to reinstall it.
Can anyone tell me how to reinstall Superuser and get full SuperUser access?
Also, I am thinking of going back to Android 4.4 to get mirroring. Can someone point me to the gapp file for that. Additionally, when I possibly would be installing 4.4, would I first install 4.4 and then reboot and install gapps. Or should 4.4 and gapps be installed at the same time?
Thanks for everyone's help. Sorry to ask so many questions. However, have gone to youtube and web many times and still am confused about what is going on.

So, I've been toying around with this idea of getting a spoofing app into the system files without root and I finally did it!
Do not set as mock app, if it works you just need the settings below for GPS joystick. If you enabled mock app as GPS joystick you will rubberband (jump location).
Flash v2
Update in playstore
Setup settings below
Version 2: Click here (link fixed)
Pokemaps:
Singapore Pokémon and raid map
Philly Pokémon and Raid map
Pokémon and gym finder
This method requires TWRP recovery
Once install check to see if you are tripping safetynet (playstore checkers)
If so, just keep your stock recovery handly to flash in odin.
If not, well then you don't have to worried about changing back to stock (means you can flash this and other mods without tripping safetynet, such as bootanimations)
First download file and place on your phone
Next reboot into recovery and flash file
reboot
Next, (if needed) flash your stock recovery so you don't trip safeynet anymore.
Now, Open GPS Joystick
Click menu button and click settings
Turn on the following:
Enable Indirect Mocking
Enable System Mode
*Must Enable this option* Disable Location (Will need to disable and reboot if you need Maps or other gps app, but can enable and reboot to lock your spoofing location anytime)
Finally, after you turn all of those on reboot and open app and set location.
No jumping
No soft bans (unless you jump from new york to singapore in under 2.5 hours)
Full spoofing with no root needed!
Tested on Sprint s6 edge plus running Nougat.
All Sprint Samsung devices s5 and up should 100% work with this.

No, you just need to flash twrp as your recovery and flash zip, then just turn on those settings above, that's it. Your location will be locked anywhere you set it with no jumping at all. If your jumping you need to reboot after you turn on those settings. Pretty much with root you would move it to system but since safetynet is in place and blocks most root this will place the file in system from recovery with no root needed.

One thing I noticed when trying to flash it on a Galaxy S7 with Android 6.0.1, is that it didn't like the app being put in priv-app
I recommend putting it in /system/app where it does work.

Hi.
This is my first post, I hope i'm in the correct forum.
I have a friend whom I requested to Root, Flash TWRP and Install LineagOS and GAAP on my OnePlus One phone.
He successfully flashed TWRP and installed LineagOS & GAAP but could not root my OnePlus One using SuperSu. He mentioned permission issue trying to root.
He went back to his country, so I am stuck trying to root my phone.
I would like to root my LineagOS (formally OnePlus One) using SuperSU.
I have downloaded/copied the latest SuperSu zip file into the Phone Sd/Download folder.
I went into custom recovery (TWRP).
Click on the Install button and verified I can see my SuperSu zip file.
Since this is my first time performing a phone root, I did not click SuperSu zip to install, until some experts can assist. me.
Just a few (Q's).
Questions:
a) Should I run any preliminary steps prior to clicking install SuperSu.zip?
b) Since I have LineagOS, GAAP apps already installed, will they be wiped after rooting SuperSu. If (Yes), any software available to backup/restore LineagOS & GAAP prior to the root process?
c) My friend mention “Permission problems with OPO”. Are there some options to open OPO and allow rooting SuperSu?
BTW: I do have the adb & fastboot installed if I need to enter some commands to get this done.
Thanks.
Tom.
a) No.
Download flashable supersu zip and flash it from here and flash it via TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/stable-2016-09-01supersu-v2-78-release-t3452703
b) No.
But you can take nandroid backup through twrp in case something goes wrong.
c) As far as I know there is no problem with "permission" for rooting.
Happy flashing
Hi psxda97.
I did your requested instructions, but still not Rooted.
Here are the steps I did:
1) Downloaded the latest SuperSu zip from XDA and copied to Sd/Download folder on my phone.
2) Went into Custom Recovery TWRP) on my phone.
3) Click Install, selected SuperSu.zip Swipe bar to continue.
Completed 181 seconds did not see errors.
4) Wiped Dalvic & Cache. Reboot the Phone.
When phone restarted I went into Titanium backup apps to test if Root was successful. Received error msg from Titanium "Could not acquire root privileges. This app will not work Verify your Rom is rooted and try again"
Not sure if this makes a difference: in Developers Option I had root access ADP Only enabled & allow Unknown Sources set off.
Since this is the second time running SuperSu should I needed to wipe any files before rooting?
I'll await you reply.
Thanks.

I think I'm missing something. Did you tried any other method to root? I recommend a clean flash.
1. Download Sultanxda's unofficial lineageOS from here
2. Download Gapps from here. ( ARM-7.1-nano)
3.Download SuperSU from here
4. [Optional] take back up of your apps (No need to back up medias like photo, video, etc)
5.Got Recovery>wipe>advanced wipe
select system, data, cache and dalvik cache (DO NOT SELECT INTERNAL)
6.flash the zips you already downloaded in this order - ROM- Gapps - SuperSU
do not wipe anything after this step
7.Reboot
1st reboot will take some time (10-20 min ). Do not interrupt this process.
PS: I totally recommend Sultan's LineageOS over official LOS. You can actually feel the difference in smoothness and performance. Especially the Camera.
Feel free to check device specific forum for OnePlus One
Happy flashing!
@psxda97.
Thanks for the quick reply.
OK, I'm going to start from scratch as you requested.
When I try to download SuperSu (from your link above) located in Google Play, I get “supersu already installed for your device”.
Did not find SuperSu in Phone Apps settings.
Went into TWRP File Manager \ supersu folder. Deleted all (4) entries.
Rebooted.
Went back into TWRP. The 4 entries reappear.
Google Play continues to gray out my device name. SuperSu is already installed.
I do have a SuperSu zip file on my PC. I installed this on my last attempt. It appears to be the same as Google Play.
Here is the name:
“C:\Users\Tomx\Downloads\SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip\”
Should I go with this?

Instructions completed successfully.
After setting up LineageOS and my Google acct I downloaded Titanium Backup.
Clicked on the app and received same error message stated in my previous post.
Is there another option/app to check if my phone is rooted?
I notice when I logoff from TWRP, I get this message displayed “Your device does not appear to be rooted Install SuperSU now This will root your device?“ There is a button to Install.
XDA put out a notice this is a bogus message and do not install.
“Sometimes, TWRP can’t detect that you already have SuperSU, so it’ll ask to flash its built-in version. But it’s almost always best to flash the latest version of SuperSU yourself “
In TWRP file manager\supersu folder contains 4 files.
99SuperSuDaemon, install-recovery.sh, su, Superuser.apk.
Are these the Built in version of supersu?
If you have other suggestions, let me know – Thanks for your help.

Ok, I followed your steps 1-7.
Instructions completed successfully.
After setting up LineageOS and my Google acct I downloaded Titanium Backup.
Clicked on the app and received same error message stated in my previous post.
Is there another option/app to check if my phone is rooted?

Can you send me a screenshot of supersu app?
I'm using the exact settings and I don't have any problem at all.
Do not let TWRP install supersu.
@psxda97
As you know the Supersu is a zip file. When I open/ then extract, the display will show folders & their contents.
I have attached all the folders & contents from supersu extract for your review.
To get a screenshot maybe you can walk me through this step.
The only way I can think of is to find & download the SuperSu apk file (for this version) onto my phone and open it to get a visual screenshot of the app.
Here is the website link where I downloaded SuperSu 2 days ago.

Edit : So you've no supersu app on you phone?
@psxda97
Maybe that's my problem. I do not have supersu on my phone application. (see my attached).
Here' what I do.
1. Download supersu zip file from website to my PC.
2. Connect PC to phone.
3. I do not extract the supersu.zip on my PC, I just manually copy the supersu.zip (as is) to Download folder (A0001) of my Phone.
4. Logoff off phone.
5. Get into TWRP. Click Install. Click supersu zip.
6. Reboot, when finish, run Titanium Backup on phone to check for root.
Should supersu app be on my phone after installation/rebooting?
Somehow it's not doing the root, even though it completes successfully in TWRP. Strange.

Yes.
Go to recover and flash it one more time
Then go to Advanced on twrp and select copy log (without kernel log).
Log will be on root folder of internal. attach the log in your next post
Also send me the screenshot of your about phone settings.
You're still missing something.

Go to system settings>developer options>root access and set it to "apps and adb"
If you flash the SuperSU.zip in TWRP on your device then you should have root.
I think you misunderstood from the beginning, did you download the SuperSU.zip and then extract it on PC and then try to install it? If so, that was completely the wrong thing to do. You might have to remove what you've done so far and then try again from a clean start, you might gave to flash your stock firmware to get a clean start.
Have you looked into whether you need normal SuperSU or whether you need systemless SuperSU?

@psxda97 - No problem about your availability time will put my post in advance reply for others to share their advice. I'm currently in Thailand for awhile, so your PM time is my AM.
@Droidriven.
No I never did an extract of the Supersu zip file. I just raised that as a "Should I".
I have attached screenshots of my About Phone & Developer Options for review.
I found only 1 Recovery log file at the Root. This has been attached.
Normal Supersu or Seamless. Not an expert on this, but the article (see below), implies if you flash supersu it will decide what method to use. I'd prefer seamless if this help. "https://www.howtogeek.com/249162/what-is-systemless-root-on-android-and-why-is-it-better/"
Just curious. What if I ran in this order Supersu, ROM, GAAP.
Would that make any difference?

The problem might be in the LineageOS ROM that you're using, I've seen others have this issue on other devices using LineageOS.
I don't recall what some of the solutions were.
@Sam Nakamura is pretty knowledgeable about the OnePlus devices, maybe he has some useful input.

Sorry, it's early in the morning here and I think I haven't been able to get the question yet...
First of all, lineageOS provides a own method of root, found here:
https://download.lineageos.org/extras
If you instead choose to use supersu the order must be -> rom, (custom kernel), supersu, (or rom, custom kernel, gapps, supersu but for gapps it doesn't matter when to flash them as long as it is in the same session and after the rom, supersu intendes to either patch the kernel (hence systemless) or to write in system (partition of the rom), that's why rom and custom kernel (if you choose to use a custom kernel) needs to be flashed before supersu...
The supersu systemless / system detection does not always work properly, in that case you can force supersu systemlessly by going to the terminal option in twrp before flashing supersu and type this:
"echo SYSTEMLESS=true>>/data/.supersu" no quotes, type "false" instead of "true" in this line to force system mode...
If that doesn't solve your problems please elaborate on this again..

I haven't used LineageOS yet so I'm not familiar with its details, I was pretty sure you'd know though. [emoji106]

@Sam Nakamura.
Thanks for the info.
I have previously executed the steps in the order you posted. I was just asking if other sequences to flash these apps were plausible.
With the help of member psxda97, he documented similar steps 1-7 for me. (Please read Post #4 on this thread and my results in Post #7). It's basically a snapshot of what you posted regarding the order seq.
Unfortunately, my phone still did not root after applying the ROM, GAAP & Supersu in this order. I'm not sure why the root is declared successful in TWRP, and the phone remain un-rooted.
Do you suggest I rerun steps1-7 from Post#4 and include your echo statement before installing supersu?
The LineageOS extras, (you mentioned) has a built-in root.
I now have LineagOS from Sultanxda's installed on my phone. It is highly recommended by XDA members over the official LOS, for it's smoothness and camera enhancements. Sultanxda' release is 06/25/2017.
LOS extras has a release date of 06/21/2017. My only issues, whether to choose LOS extras. I will subsequently get the next “Official” LOS release for 6/25 and loose LOS Sultanxda installation.
Tom.
Tried Installing LOS extras 14.1
@Sam Nakamura
I downloaded LOS extras from the link you provided.
Went into TWRP
Did the Install
Then rebooted.
Went back to phone\Developers Option
Root Access is still grayed out.
See screenshot attached.
Any suggestions?
Should I just do a TWRP factory reset and start over?
Tom.

Did you choose the correct arm(32) version of lineageOS su? I'd try the following:
Backup all partitions with twrp so you can return to your set-up later on..
Wipe everything except internal storage
Flash rom, (custom kernel), gapps and su
Boot up and check if it's working now
If not restore your backup and check next point
Alternatively:
Have you tried superSU with forced systemless via twrp terminal (by the way, if done correctly there shouldn't fallow a output with this command line..)
Flash supersu from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
I never had issues with the beta but you can also use the stable version, downloads on post 1
Using Magisk as root and root management tool
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Flashable zip via twrp, if successful go to magisk settings, and check superuser and read the rest of Magisk's potential on the linked thread, my preferred method as it allows you to hide root from certain apps which deny service to rooted devices..
Important, it's not a good idea to flash lineageOS su, then supersu, then magisk after each fails, at least restore your clean boot partition from twrp or flash the boot.img from within your rom zip... Best would be clean of course - but as you have a backup of your previous system you can play around and make errors...
