Weird Turned off battery screen - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So 1 day my phone was dead so I go to charge it and you know the screen of the battery when it's empty and you plugged it in your charger well this one was different. Instead of the stock one wich was white it was blue and there was some typing half in English and half in Chinese I think. Can any one tell me what that means, of course it switched back immediately so I'm not sure. I am running on cm 13 nightly on the one plus one

[Q] grey battery icon on boot

Device:
VZW Blue SGS3 32GB, original battery
The issue:
This only happens when the device turns itself off due to low battery. When I try to turn on the phone it shows am empty battery icon (i.e., no green or red) with a huge grey recycle type symbol in the center of the battery (a circular grey version of the green recycle symbol, with two half circles instead of three corners of a triangle). This image flashes on screen for maybe 3 seconds and then immediately powers off.
At this point the phone doesn't respond to normal reboot measures (hold power button, hold power + volume, etc). The only way to get the phone to respond is to re-seat the battery. Then, when you plug the power cord in, it will vibrate once then show the battery icon again and turn off.
At some random point in time the phone "revives" itself. Here's where the fun begins. When it "revives" itself (can be anywhere from 10 mins to 10 hours later) the battery looks like it was charging the entire time (i.e., after 2 hours it has a 40% charge)! One time when it revived it was fully charged!
Background:
This happens on the stock ROM as well as Slim Bean (2.6 & 2.7). That's half the reason I went with Slim Bean...exceptional battery life. And, it has worked, as it's only happened twice since switching to Slim Bean. It was happening once a week with the stock ROM because the battery would frequently go below 15% without my knowledge. Now, sure, I can control this by making sure the battery never gets down to 15%. However, a $600 device shouldn't lock up just because the battery gets low!
I did call VZW about this and they were pretty much clueless. They didn't seem to be familiar with that symbol. Their only suggestion was a new battery. I will take them up on the offer, just to get a free battery, but I really don't think it's the battery. If it was the battery then you would imagine this should happen randomly and not just when the battery was low. To me it sounds like the battery charge/protection circuit flaking out. Here's the real thing to consider to discount the battery: the grey icon remains even when the battery itself is at 100%.
Has anyone else seen this problem? I'm at a loss because I can't even google for it...the search terms are too common. So if anyone knows a specific name for this problem, do share!

Lol, same exact thing that is happening to my phone. Ive learned to deal with it because my phone has physical damage was tl buy a stronger charger or keep the one I already had and not let the phone die. The things you described is 100% my phone lol.

[Q] Battery issue (I think?)

So, my tablet fully died today, 0% battery on tablet and dock, and now when I plug in the tablet the screen comes on and off showing the battery with one red bar, is this normal and if not what should I do?

Perfectly normal. It means that the tablet doesn't have enough power to boot up yet, give it ten minutes to get at least 15%. It should boot up automatically after that,
LOL. I've made the mistake of letting mine run all the way down twice. The 1st time it scared the tar out of me and I thought I was going to have to send it back to Asus because it wouldn't come back on after I plugged it in LOL. After letting it charge for about 15 minutes it booted right up. It did the same thing the 2nd time I ran it all the way down too. Even though I know it will boot back up after sitting on the charger for a little bit, I still watch my battery level very closely now. It's a bad feeling when I press the power button and nothing happens!!
Has anyone else experienced very short battery life after the last update? Used to be that if I didn't use my tablet for a week it would only lose like 10% now it goes to 0 in 2 days even if it isn't touched. Only started after the last update. I'm thinking I should do a factory reset just to see if that settles things out.
Or does anyone know of any good battery monitors that can tell you what was sucking all the juice before is died?

[Q] P3113 Won't Turn On Or Charge

*The tablet is completely stock, other than a couple apps, like a dictionary and google translate*
I got a Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch a little while ago for school use, and didn't use it much after Spring finals. But when I went to use it today, it would not turn back on. Thinking that the battery had been drained from being left on for an extended period, I plugged it in. What I found was that it would stay black for a couple seconds then show the battery with the stuck loading circle. It then shows the quarter and half charging increments in orange and shuts back off for a couple seconds. I have attached a gif in case my explanation of the animation is not sufficient.
Edit: My problem was purely hardware. The battery had failed somehow, and I fixed the problem with an OEM replacement battery. I'm glad that it was that easy to fix, and I hope that this can help someone else with the same problem.

you charging using direct charging adapter or USB charging?
based on my experience ...
1. If you tab out of the battery to 0%, can not be charged using usb charge for charging low power and not enough ..
2., And if you run out of battery at 0% and you charge using the adapter charges but still can not keep his charge, and so the possibility is still there charging cable / USB you are damaged .. if so you should try to use another cable / new and charging using adapter ..
try it ... I think maybe it will solve your problem ..

New s6 - battery dead overnight when phone was off!

Not sure if I should be worried. I got the phone last night and charged it to full. Then I powered off the phone. This morning the phone didn't turn on and the battery was dead. Can the phone turn on by itself even when it's powered off or something? Not sure what happened here.
I don't think your phone could drain to 0 from 100 overnight even if turned on. I also wouldn't think it would normally consume one single electron while powered off. This makes me suspect some weird combo of things, such as your battery not being calibrated properly and misreporting that it was full, and perhaps some sort of short in your phone allowing the battery to discharge even while powered off.

Ya maybe it was the battery calibration or something. I'll give it a day or two and if it happens again, I'll get it exchanged.
What is it laying on or around? My locker at work is notorious for draining my phones battery unless I have it sitting a 1 inch thick piece of foam. I noticed it on my '14 Moto X and decided to try it with my iPhone 6, dead battery also. I have four earth magnets in my locker so that could be a factor.

Your post got me thinking. I think I know what happened. I put the s6 back in the box it came in for the night, until I got the new SIM card this morning. My guess is the power button probably got pushed while it was in the box since last night, or in my bag or something, probably triggering constant reboots.

Stuck @ 100% charged Screen with green LED HTC Sensation xe Cyanogenmod
