So I've been looking around but have found nothing. I'm using LMT launcher on CM10.1 and I just want to hide the Nav bar but still be able use notifications and quick settings, I've tried enabling expanded desktop but that hide the notifications, I also tried using Gestures to open the Nav bar and the notification button in PIE, but if the desktop is expanded it won't work. And Help??
Hi,
I am a bit confused about these. They seem to be related but all different things. Could anyone point me to what they are and how they are used?
Thanks
Quick settings is panel accessible from the notification drawer containing tiles (toggles) which control some system settings (wifi,gps,bt..)
Quick access ribbon is a row of controls (system settings like above) you see on top when opening the notification drawer (e.g. sliding from top to bottom)
I see. So I have is Quick Settings (toggles) and Notification. I've not seen quick access ribbon though.
I have both of them in the lower right corner. Above the notifications, there is an row with a single icon which looks like many lines and a ",' following it. I don't see ribbon of toggles. Any way to enable them?
Thanks
I'm using CarbonRom based on CyanogenMod 10.2 (Android 4.3) and I found it in the statusbar settings:
Settings -> Statusbar -> Quick Settings -> Quick Access Ribbon
I did find it. However, when I run in Tablet UI with notification, quick access settings all in the lower right corner, I don't see quick access ribbon. Instead, I see the attached image.
Any clue on why? Thanks
Some screenshots:
And the ribbons

Which rom are you using? Maybe that feature has been implemented yet in your device rom
I have PAC-man 4.3, which has CM 10.2
The ribbon is there in the stock UI mode. When I use tablet UI, when notification and quick settings are both in the lower right corner, the ribbon turns into that icon as in my previous attached image.
Oh I see, it must be just a bug then
I'm using the KatKiss 4.4 ROM and find it great.
Question:
When using Expanded mode....is there anyway to make the bottom navbar appear temporarily, so I can switch apps, etc. Currently I have to turn off expanded mode to use the navbar. I do see that swiping down from the top shows the top bar, but not the navbar.
Also...are Expanded Mode and Immersive setting, the same thing?
thanks.
I'm not sure but I think system 's immersive mode isn't Android' s immersive mode on KatKiss.

Do "camera's" work on this ROM? I'm guessing this is one of the "same things" not working on the CM build?

Very nice. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us as Cyanogenmod development progresses (hurry up HTC). Though, I have one suggestion. If this ROM requires the 1.32 firmware, i'd suggest putting that in the OP before half the posts in here become "_______ doesn't work. What firmware is this meant for?".

I just dirty flashed the ROM listed in the op with a cache and davlik wipe. I am having a few plat store crashes and now email. Op did a test build of this ROM in another thread on 7/26. I clean flashed that one and had no crashes whatsoever. Going to try flashing banks new gapps package posted today and see if that fixes the crashes...
Edit: no hard button reboots tho
Edit2: banks latest gapps and another cache wipe did not fix app crashes. I'm reverting back to a nandroid of the 7/26 build. I can't open the email app or gmail app or SMS without crashes. Odd. Can't imagine its banks gapps. Been using them with CyanogenMod ROMs reliably for ages....
7/26 build can be found here. Note that other than the camera not working, the mic on speakerphone doesn't work (headset does) and Bluetooth doesn't work either.

You da man! I'll give it a shot maybe over the weekend. Lots going on right now, much of which I require Bluetooth and my Camera to be working for haha.
I tried this rom after I had a 'flickering' screen issue from the CM12.1 Rom. I have the same issue on crDroid but maybe a little worse (Sometimes it black screens and reboots) Thought I'd make you guys aware!
From what I could tell everything else seemed OK, didn't try much though!
Firmeware: 1.32.61.15
Unlocked/rooted/S-ON(I need to s-off asap tbh)
Network: EE
I reverted back to a sense7 rom and its all OK now, I'm about to try a few more things (DPI changing etc didnt work) and I'll report back with any findings
Cheers though, keep up the great work!

Blue circle cursor
This ROM and CM12.1 for my HTC One M9 both have a mouse cursor that won't go away. There's no option to turn it off and it's really annoying because I have to use it like a mouse... if I want to type a message, I have to move the cursor to each letter and then tap the screen.

Glove mode is just that, it allows you to use the phone with your gloves on. This is different. Picture trying to use your phone with a computer mouse.

I'm also experiencing this. I've tried toggling visible cursor in dev options but that didn't get rid of it.

I've tried it on all the different types for the international version, i.e. 2.10/1.32/1.40
1.32 stops the reboots whenever the screen is locked but the cursor persists across all firmwares

Are you running the 7/26 or 7/28 build? I didn't have luck on 7/28
I want to hide navigation bar and Omnirom has "Disable Navbar" quick setting toggle.
It does hide navbar but it really disables it so I can't swipe up the bottom screen to unhide navbar for a time.
Expanded desktop quicksetting toggle would be much useful.
Plus, hope expanded desktop has global style setting, not per-app style setting.
It would be nice to to be able to hide status bar with extended desktop also
