On the Reviews of LeTv CDLA Type-C Earphones people have mentioned trying them with one plus three and not working. Has any one have a chance to try any USB Type C headphones with LG G5 to see if they work??

I have Samsung S8 plus and LETV Type C CDLA Earphones. I tried to use these Type C Earphones on my S8+, but seems the audio runs in fast mode. The audio output plays in 2x speed or more. Please someone help me as how to use Type C Earphones on S8+. I am presently using these type C Earphone on my C9 Pro without any issue. Thanks
The problem could be the buttons in your earphones. Try pressing them and see if something happens.
I know these are only $20.00 earbuds but has anyone compared? I read usb-c is better because the processing is done in the buds vs. on the phone for 3.5mm.
I ordered and received my OP6 with accessories one being the USB-C Bullets (by mistake choosing the wrong power play bundle). They didn't work and I was going to return them until I found out enabling OTG enabled them. It is kind of a hassle having to enable OTG every time though. But if the output is better?

The sound quality of a playback from any device is a relative thing. You can't measure quality but only compare it by and for yourself, still, only subjectively. You have to judge $20 earbuds and ask yourself: are they good enough for me? If the answer is 'No' then you try something else.
Some people rely on 1 to 5 Star ratings posted by the seller, that could be deceiving too.
I came from an s7 edge and I felt that the 3.5mm jack output quality was not as good in op6. So it would be interesting to know if maybe usb c audio is better

Same, all good with ViPER4Android tho.. (used the same for s7 edge)
Have you tried USB c output?
Hi georgiapi, have you figured out how to enable USB c audio output? I tried several times with enabling otg or switching preset USB mode (PTP,charging, file transfer, midi...) in developer options but I'm not able to make USB c audio working... I read on the internet that enabling otg works with OP3, 3t, 5, 5t...Anyone that can help? I honestly think that music quality coming from 3,5mm jack is really low-quality and I would like to know if with USB c the situation would be better...thanks
I tried the Apple usb-c to 3.5m headphone jack cable and it didn't work, I read online someone saying that it didn't work with the 6T either. Before I buy another cable I am trying to figure out which work and why. My car connection is with a audio cable so I need to use it for that.
Any help or expertise appreciated.
This one works perfectly for me

I can't use direct links, so you'll have to play with the text below.
This one worked for me:
*amazon dot com* + /gp/product/B07PF8Z6LB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought but returned this one due to having a buzzing sound and low volume:
*amazon dot com* + /gp/product/B07P5T7QTF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The first link has "DAC" while the 2nd does not seem to have that feature.
I bought the 2nd because it said it worked for the Pixel 2 and because the usb c to 3.5mm adapter that came with the Pixel 2 worked in the OP7 Pro. Unfortunately, the product in the 2nd link didn't work in either device.
I hope that helps
If you don't care about the quality of the dac...you can just get the google branded one...it's cheaper than OP new pricing and it will probably work with any phones without a headphone jack.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a headphone jack + PD adapter that would work for the OP7P? Or am I stuck with buying just a USB C to 3.5mm adapter?
Hi,
So bought these awesome Razer USB C earphones which have a built in mic. They work fine as both earphones and a microphone but for some reason the native phone app will not route the call audio through them!
I have no doubt this is a quick fix for Samsung kernel or otherwise as they remove the USB port from the next generation of phones but I would expect USB C earphones to work. Other phones like Oppus, Huwei, HTC and Pixel don't seem to have issues.
Any ideas here?
I have the OnePlus USB-C Bullet earphone, it works fine both for audio and for a call.
I've been trying my old HTC headphones I got with the U11. Sadly these don't work at all as they are brilliant headphones.
Probably because of the active noise cancelation they need a specific driver.
Okay, will return and try these instead.

The OnePlus USB-C earphones didn't work with my Note 9 either. At least these are cheaper...
I believe some of those headsets use a analog pass trough instead of having their own DAC so they only work with a phone that supports that
I had bought a generic type-c to 3.5mm connector from Amazon.in a few days before, but it didn't work with OnePlus Nord.
I'm returning it, and just wanted to check if the official ones from OnePlus will work before buying.
It doesn't mention compatibility with Nord, so I'm a bit hesitant to buy it...
If anyone has already tried it out, please let me know whether it works or not.
I have 2 of those. One from Amazon and other from huawei (came with a phone). They both worked ok with Nord.
I bought really cheap one on ebay for my previous phone, and it works fine.
Sent from my Nord using XDA Labs
You'd have to turn on the otg node
It will work Perfectly , I received it yesterday and everything is fine .

No, why?
I have one by Case Plus from Amazon. Don't know but the mic or button with my Sony earphones aren't working. It works sometimes with reboot but after unplugging it, it doesn't work.
Works
I bought a cheap type C to 3.5 mm adapter and it works fine with nord. Tested with boAt 225 earphones and mic also works perfectly.
OnePlus Type-c to 3.5 convertor works fine without any issue.
From my experience, some of them work and others don't. To be sure to have one working, you need the the adaptor has an integrated DAC inside.
Working
- Meizu Pro DAC cable
- Samsung DAC cable
- Sonata 2 DAC cable
- Qudelix
Not Working
- LG usb-c DAC cable for LG Wing (This one has a different type of DAC chip and Android does not have the driver. LG phones only)
