I'll believe it when I see it!

That would make sense as Eliminater74 saw a new kernel posted only for a day or so recently, so work is being done, that date seems a bit sooner than I would expect, but would be happy to see it!

Yes, that's why i posted here, from what I hear, others are supposed to get a update at some point but i don't know anything about them, i just know what I saw about the tmo v10 and hoping they really push the update today like it said.

My phone on stock rooted Marshmallow is starting to act up: it shuts down soon after hitting 15% battery, no animation, no shutdown screen, just goes black. And today it's been just randomly rebooting. I have no real mods or tweaks, just frozen bloat. I hope this is something they may fix with an update, or else it's just my phone?

Has anyone checked on LG Bridge for an update?

I am completely stock, locked and un-rooted. I'll give LG Bridge a try and see what happens....If I get an OTA notification I'll let you know as well
EDIT:
Manual check for update: NOTHING
LG Bridge: NOTHING

I had a similar issue with stock rooted lollipop. Nothing that I tried resolved - clearing data/cache, reloading OS from lg factory image. I ended up exchanging under mfg warranty. Thankfully the LGUP refurb option and factory image option replaced OS, recovery and even got rid of the message saying the bootloader was unlocked.
I ended up getting the carrier insurance on the refurb unit I just got back yesterday since this was a problem that plagues LG G4's. Many say the G4 has a mobo issue after a while. I'm hoping that I got a 1-off lemon and the durability of other v10's prove otherwise.

My wife's g4 has had 2 updates in 2 days, the manager at tmo only works Thursday-saturday, I'll be going back to find out what's going on.

Lack of updates is what has me considering the note 7.

Samsung is no better than LG in this regard
If OEM updates is a huge concern the obvious choice is a Nexus, Motorola was good for a 3rd party but hard to say anymore being they are lenova

I left sAmsung for the g3 then g4 onto the v10, don't know if I would go back to samsung.

Exactly the same for me. But then again, I never thought I'd leave Samsung. I too have been thinking about the Note 7 - assuming all the rumors are true.

Yeah, didn't he say he was able to grab it before it disappeared too? I'd be interested to see how what he grabbed differs from the actual release if and when we see it. :highfive:

Same situation here. Sammy is becoming more difficult to root everyday. LG is sadly following suite. If I did but Sammy again it would only be the unlocked international versions of their devices.

can't mobile deposit with rooted phone?

I had no issues with my HTC Evo LTE being rooted and depositing checks with the Bank of America mobile app. My galaxy 5 has pretty much been rooted since they day I got it back in May and I haven't been able to get deposits to work. The bank's mobile team reached out to help me but once they learned the device was rooted they threw their hands up and said they couldn't troubleshoot the phone because being rooted and having developer options turned on interferes with the way the app works. Has anyone ever heard of this? The app works fine other than when I take a pic of the front and back of my checks and go to deposit it keeps saying to center check in all four corners...
Ahh, so that's why I wasn't able to deposit a check lol. Did you try turning off the developer options, then trying?

No I didn't and I actually found out it has nothing to do at all with being rooted. I figured they were using that as a cop out anyways...
It boils down to their app not being calibrated correctly for the phone. If I hold the phone 2 feet away from the check then it'll work. They've updated the app about 3 times since this phone came out and I think 1 or 2 of those were supposed to be patched to fix the new phone issues. Evidently they still don't have it sorted yet.

Go into settings and toggle developer options off and reboot. After I did this, my check was deposited on the first try. When you are done you can enable developer options again.

My Nexus 5, 1 Minor Issue :(

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5U7Z9Cv7dQ
Anyone else got this, I just sent my phone for LG RMA/Repair
Could either be,
1. Hardware problem (problem with the power button).
2. Software problem (ROM-related).
But since you already sent in your phone, you can't really confirm the problem. Had no problems with my N5 when it comes to this. But either way, a repaired version would fix you right up.

I Already Factory resetted the phone and it was doing the same thing, it's 100% stock so I would say HW
Even in the bootloader if I scroll and tilt the phone slightly it would register it as a press.

Then its for sure hardware. Nothing much you can do but wait for LG to send you a repaired n5.
Hope it comes back soon!

Google is being hard headed, Saying they only RMA Google Play Purchased Nexus 5's
Any repair should be free, from the seller of the device. It is defective.
Not all of us are in the US nor did we all buy our phones from google.
Unfortunately corporations don't care anything to screw there customers out legit warranty claims

Screen bouncing 😢

I have recently beginning to have a screen bouncing issue. Seems to be getting worse. Started about 5 days ago.
Tried factory reset, safe mode and tried android M but still the same.
What is causing this maybe? Don't want to get a new phone as still loving this. Longest phone I've ever had.
Here's a video of what I mean https://youtu.be/qtsouaLdqgc
Thanks

MM Software Issues

I just want to get a consensus on two issues I've noticed with the upgrade to Android M.
First, is anyone else having a problem when swapping batteries around the 15% mark the phone not recognizing the proper battery power after swap. (I.e. still indicating low power)
Second, with headphones plugged in if you restart phone it will not boot past the LG screen or AT&T screen.

Well thats sucks. Sorry to hear your having issues. Could you tell me how you updated to MM? Aswell as if you did it over wifi or data connection?
Over wifi. I've factory reset my phone since having those issues and it's still there. I'm mostly wondering if there is anyone else cause I would like to make a report to AT&T through a family member that works with the company.

I know I should have probably posted this in ts'ing forum, however, I'm not looking for a fix or solution. Just getting a consensus to see if anyone else is having those issues.

MM has been out for a little over 4 months and i havent seen your same issues reported. Not say nobody is having them. But im not even finding them in the tech media stream. Its mostly MM specific, not carrier. So at&t probably is not going to do anything, if they even have the ability. As far as your case goes, i would look into getting a new one.

I had the battery indicator issue once. I've had MM on my v10 since it was available for ATT and never had the issue until about 2 weeks ago. It seems to be a one time random thing for me because it hasn't happened again. I am having issues with what looks like screen burn in but I know it's not that since its an LCD. Most of the time it's there and sometimes it's not. I don't think it's related to MM because I noticed the same thing on LP.

Its true LCD screens dont burn, but they do produce "ghost images" from the same cause of image burn. LCD screens also require a still image on the screen longer for them to produce the "ghost images" but usually are not permanent. So if you have not left your phone on a single image for a long period of time, then you probably have a faulty screen.
