Helium - App Sync and Backup for non Root Users is updated (July 4, 2016) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Themes, Apps, and Mods

For those who are not familiar with Helium backup:
Helium is the missing app sync and backup solution for Android.
Helium does NOT require root. All Android users can use Helium to backup and sync Android applications.
Helium lets you backup your apps and data to your SD card or cloud storage. With Helium, you can sync app data from your other Android devices-- even if they are not on the same network. Set up backup schedules with Helium, and never lose data again.
Updated to version 1.1.4.2. Check it out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup

Titanium Backup - only data?

I am using TB Donate and have two questions.
1. Is it possible to back only data of the system/system apps and data of my installed apps without backing up the custom applications itself?
2. Is it possible to check if some data have been changed and only actualize the current backup with those databases?

Restoring data from older Android versions

So I have an Xperia Play on official 2.3.4, but I want to update it to 4.0 MIUI, without losing my data.
If I absolutely need to wipe all my data, is there a way of backing up SMS messages, then restoring them back as if they were never wiped, after the ROM change?
Thanks.
MyBackup and Titanium Backup are two popular apps that can back up all your SMS/MMS and much more. They will back up just about everything you need to your memory card and allow you to easily restore that data after flashing your new ROM.
Ok, I have Titanium Backup Pro with Google Drive enabled, but I can't figure out how to sync to it. I think I'll back a ROM Manager backup just in case..
You can use MyPhoneExplorer to sync your data with your pc. http://www.fjsoft.at/en/

Titanium Backup for a secondary user

Can Titanium Backup be used to backup a secondary user's apps and data?
I'm trying to backup the apps and app data (app settings, high scores etc.) on a secondary account but Titanium Backup just fails and gives the error "Backup failed: Insufficient free storage space". I tried backing up individual apps and batch backup and neither works. Using Titanium Backup on the Owner's account works as normal.
I'm using the latest version of Titanium Backup Pro on a Nexus 7 2013 on 4.4.4.
Things I've tried (looking for a solution):
Uninstalled and re-installed Titanium Backup
Changing the backup directory to various locations, none worked
Updated to the latest version of SuperSU
Ensured that multi-user is enabled in SuperSU
Unchecked mount namespace separation in SuperSU
Check for the error in settings of titanium backu and you will get the anser

Can you direct me to where in the settings to look?
Any ideas on this problem?

Can I use a backup app to restore my installed apps after rooting/flashing my phone?

I was asking earlier about how to make a list of all the apps I have installed, so that when I root my Note 4 (which involves wiping the phone), I can go through the list and easily remember which apps I should reinstall. But someone suggested just using a backup app like Helium, and then restoring them once I root my Note 4.
Will that actually work? Can I just use a backup app like Helium or Titanium or MyBackup, backup all my installed apps and their user data, then root/wipe the phone, reinstall said backup app, and I'll be able to restore all the apps I have installed, and they'll just work?
And if so, does it include things like user data for each app like configuration options and locally stored saved games? Can I go through the list and only restore the apps that I really want, unchecking all the ones I don't want reinstalled?

Oneplus 3 to oneplus 6 app data transfer

today i brought my new oneplus 6 im very happy with it but i'm trying to transfer all my data from my oneplus 3 to the 6, I have been able to use the switch app which transferred most but no app data.
I then tried with switch backing up and then locating the backup file and copying it to my new device but its still missing app data.
Can anyone advise me on a solution.
Thanks justin
I have used Titanium Backup to transfer all user apps with data from my op3 to the op6.
After the backup I transferred the backup-files to the op6 and restored all user apps. No cloud needed, fast and reliable.
I am also using Titanium Backup for apps and FolderSync to sync my entire /data to my home NAS. For a data migration I set up the new device, install FolderSync and download my data from my NAS, then install Titanium Backup and re-install apps. No cloud involved

That's the way I work also. (I only use rsync itself for synchronizing the data with my nas).
