[Q] Boot Animation Modificiation?

Can someone direct me to a tutorial on how to change the boot animation either from modifiying the .zip file ROM or just doing it after installing the ROM?
Instructions are available for nearly every phone if you search your device's specific forum. This one is for the (g2 and desire z) basic idea. I'd do some searching in your thread though.
**ROOT Is Required**
For BootAnimations:
The usual notice i am not repsonsible if you brick your device but this is pretty easy to do... follow the instructions below:

4. Open terminal enter these commands: (for Cyanogen and Stock Rom)
su
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
For those of you who have it the root explorer.apk also works to install
1. Same as above
2. Same as above
3. Same as above
4. Open Root explorer
5. Select bootanimation.zip from sdcard
6. Select move
7. Find Data folder
8. Find Local folder
9. Paste into Local folder
SENSE Roms Instructions: (Absolute System.apk Needed)
1. Download and install Absolute System.apk
2. Select download bootanimations
3. Press Menu

5. Select EVO4G
6. Download Bootanimation
7. Use a File Manager to move Bootanimation into sdcard/goodies/bootanimations

STEP 12 : After all this, select all contents of settings.apk in 4-OUT Folder and add them to archieve using 7-Zip and replace ".zip" extention by ".apk".
Place this "settings.apk" into "system >> app " folder of Custom Rom and flash this Custom Rom. You will have the ROM NAME changed.
Hurray!!! You have successfully Changed the ROM NAME of Custom Rom for Xperia Devices.
Firstly, this thread has nothing to do with Development so I've moved it to General where it should have been created.
Secondly, you have no permission to attach the file: Advancedapktool.zip
Thirdly, you posted no credits to the original author for this tool.
I've removed the tool and linked to the original authors thread instead.
Sorry for the mistakes, I will take care next time

Hope it worked for you.
Can this be used on a custom 4.4.x ROM for phone?
It's a galaxy S2 running miui v5.7.3 (rooted and selinux permissive). Also, can it be combined with viper? I know this is a bit late. But any reply is appreciated. Thanks!
