Rooting Galaxy S6 - SM-G9200 with Nougat

Hi,
I want to root my Galaxy S6 using CF-Auto-Root.
Unfortunately my model (SM-G9200) on Android 7.0 does not have my build available in CF-Auto-Root.
I wanted to ask, can I root my model with an older build of 6.0.1? The page states:
"To be clear, just because you have a newer Android version than listed here, does NOT mean the CF-Auto-Root will not work - there's a good chance that it will!"
Is it safe to try and use an older build?
If I try and it doesn't work, will the process fail gracefully without any damage to my phone, or will I brick my phone?
What if I try to use an android 7.0 build of another model with the same board and platform?
I'm a noob at rooting, so I'm not sure why I gotta root a specific build, as long as I have the same chipset as other S6 devices with different builds?
I'd be very happy if someone knows the answers to the questions above - I'm terrified of trying these stuff and bricking my phone.
Last thing - if I cannot use any of the methods above, can someone please ask to add support for my current build & model in the CF-Auto-Root thread?
Unfortunately, as I am a noob here, I cannot post in that thread by myself.
My devicedetails:
Device: Galaxy S6 (China Dual Sim - Hong Kong)
Model: SM-G9200
Android version: 7.0
Build number: NRD90M.G9200ZHU2EQE1
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks

Good news : Galaxy note FE Android Pie update has been released

The Galaxy Note FE Android Pie update is now rolling out, it’s firmware version*N935FXXU4CSC4.
Galaxy S7 share the same hardware with the note FE so a port is possible
Great news. It means we'll have soon a full port of S10 [emoji16]
This information is mentioned on other site:
“Samsung technicals and developers are now doing a 36-point quality and validation testing for android pie on samsung s7 and s7 edge to check if this version will provide optimum performance for these devices.”
Other good news : @Kill-Switch in working on a port rom for S7 ?

Unlock bootloader Samsung J737v

I have had a Samsung J7 for awhile now, and recently got interested in rooting the device. However, I cannot find any info for how to unlock the bootloader of this specific model. I have the newer version of the J7, and it is running pie, rather than oreo as I see in most of these threads here. I have come across a few threads discussing it(

Thanks in advance!
