Hi Guys
I'm thinking to buy beetween pre-order the Moto Z Unlocked in the MotoMaker , but I have a question for a information why you can reed in the Motorola WebPage... the Unlocked version show a "Snapdragon 820 Processor, up to 1,8 GHz"... is possible why they was underclocked the Processor in the Unlocked version..?
Thanks

Hi, one question that bugs me... does the device have TWO nano sim holders AND a card slot (Micro SD)? Or is it just a hybrid slot for second sim OR card?

It's just a hybrid slot for second sim OR card.

Thanks. I guess they'll never learn. No idea why they get it right for the "cheapo" Play model.

Z's CPU is underclocked (to around 1.8 gh), for global unlocked GSM version, according to official Motorola product webpage. Only the Verizon exclusive model is fully clocked.

Is it possible to overclock it up to what frequency?

I wonder if Lenovo actually don't want people buying this phone. Ridiculous.

[Q] Choosing an Android phone w/ keyboard: Desire Z/G2 or Droid 2 or other ??

I have to change my phone and my only req. is a hardware keyboard.
I've been a hardcore, diehard Windows Mobile user for over a decade.
I feel forced to go Android because WP7 smells sort of iPhone-esque clone (no file access, no multitasking, no cut/paste, etc...)
To my surprise, I've found there aren't quite a lot of Android devices with keyboard out there
Fortunately, I've seen a couple of interesting soon-to-be-released phones:
The HTC Desire Z / T-Mobile G2 and the Moto Droid 2 WE (world edition) / Milestone 2
Both will have Froyo 2.2, 5MP cam 720p HD video rec, 3.7" multitouch screen & all the standard shizz
G2 / Desire Z advantages:
- It is HTC
- It has Sense onboard, which I am familiar to
Appart from that, and curiously enough, the Droid 2 / Milestone 2 is better in every other aspect:
- Better screen res (854x480 vs 800x480)
- Faster processor (1000MHz vs 800MHz)
- More internal memory (8GB vs 1.5GB)
- Slightly smaller size (60.5 x 116.3 x 13.7 mm vs 60.4 x 119 x 14.2)
- Lighter weigth (169 gr vs 180 gr)
- Slightly bigger battery (1400 mAh vs 1300 mAh)
- Better flash (dual LED vs single LED)
My Q: Which one to go ?? or is there any other device to consider ??
Any advice / oppinion / suggestion appreciated

There is benchmark results on androidspin.com

Interesting benchmarks...
And you're right:
I'd go for a WM6.5 HTC HD2 if it only had a keyboard...
Anyway it will not be upgradeable to WP7, and as I stated before, WP7 is expected to be as closed as a religious man's mind
.
Android is running great and nand is coming soon. Cotulla posted a bootloader on his web site just waiting for a rom and instructions.

Other Android-with-keyboard option is the "Motorola Flipout"
Besides the QVGA screen res the device is awesome

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro?
Obviously some of you guys haven't read up on Adreno 205 GPU that comes with G2 & its MSM&230. Try reading this article first:
http://smartphonebenchmarks.com/for...t-compare-to-other-gpus/page__pid__65#entry65
Adreno 205 is going to perform better than PowerVR SGX530 found in Droid X. It may even get pretty close to PowerVR SGX540 found in Sammy's Himmingbird.
Watch out for this table, I'm sure someone will load their Quadrant result as soon as it becomes available:

If only. It would be the almost perfect device. What have smartphone manufacturers got against big screen qwertys anyway!??!?
(yeah I know there are a couple but, only a couple! The Z's screen is too small so I don't count this. Samsungs Galaxy S Pro? The Galaxy is being slated due to bugs)
edit: I have to be honest though, i'm waiting for WinPho 7 as it appears, walled garden aside, that it could integrate very will with Zune and my Xbox subscription. If it launches and has full and complete MS Ofice/Exchange integration then its very possible I will jump straight on to a Dell Lightning - assuming it records 720p.

Intel Medfield based Lava Xolo X900

Lava has launched the Xolo X900 smartphone which also becomes the first Intel powered smartphone in the world for Rs 22,000.
The device is based on the Intel Medfield reference design and features a 1.6GHz Atom processor, a GPU clocked at 400MHz, a 4.03-inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, a 8-megapixel camera with 1080p shooting capabilities, NFC and HDMI connectivity. Intel claims the camera can take 10 pictures in under a second in full resolution in burst mode setting. Lava says the device can produce five hours of battery life with 3G browsing and can deliver 45 hours of audio and eight hours of talk time.
The device run stock Android 2.3 and will not ship with the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. For its part Lava says an OTA Ice Cream Sandwich update is in the works.
The device will be available in India on April 23 at Croma or from Xolo.in, and will hit retail chains in early May.
We are feel happy because it launched in india first
And now: why do you post in O1 forum?

Development on XOLO?
Is there anyone here developing for this device or no one has even bothered so far?
I did a YouTube battery life test on my Xolo. Set to auto brightness. Watching the 2 hour, 6 minute 2012 Google I/O took exactly 50% of the battery.

I guess people would be a little bit skeptical in buying a 22k lava...
Standby time is pretty sweet. 2 days, 20 hours standby, and 2:15 of screen time.

The only thing is that it stuck due to brand name of mobile if it will launched with Samsung then it will grab the market rapidly !

NFC?
Still no NFC??
It might be useable but 1gb RAM was why i ditched original Note.
Pay your money & take your choice but my honest opinion is i may only get one life so i buy the best phone i can & that's a genuine one from Samsung.

Lenovo——The new partner of Qualcomm in China?

My Chinese friends are such big buyers that they seems always have the impulsion to buying out any supermarket in any free perimeters, especially for the electronics. ( e.g. lots of them had purchase the latest Nexus phones and send back to their friends in China)
Compare with people in other regions, Chinese consumers are the better enthusiasts on the high-end smartphones. But what interesting me is although Chinese smartphone brands release their high-end smartphones (based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC) frequently, yet the Chinese consumers can barely find those smartphones in the market.
For SAMSUNG and SONY Mobile, they had already help Qualcomm to sold 10million Snapdragon 800 globally. GALAXY Note III have sold over 5 million Pcs(not mention other model of SAMSUNG). SONY Mobile had also sold out over 2 million Snapdragon 800 globally with the model of Togari, Honami, and Amami.

This chart demonstrates the shipment of Snapdragon 800 SoC smartphones in China: SAMSUNG has sold more than 700K Pcs GALAXY Note III & SONY Mobile has sold more than 150K Pcs Togari and Honami.
What’s surprised me is Lenovo had purchased more than 300K Pcs Snapdragon 800 SoC but they had never release any smartphones based on this chip. This number is such a big number even them are prepared for their new smartphones (K910), Lenovo had never sold any high-end model over 500K pcs in the past.
lenovo used mtk before but it will catch the steps of samsung and sony in the future

Qualcomm might be pissed off by Xiaomi( their new smartphones will using MTK6589T(Hongmi) and nVIDIA Tegra 4(Xiaomi III), which both are competitors for Qualcomm).
For Qualcomm, it is not a good news that Xiaomi walk close with the Taiwan Chip Supply. However, if they can cooperate with Lenovo in China market, it will definitely help they keep the marketing leader in the Mobile processing chip industry.

XT1543: 1GB instead of 2GB?

Hello guys, i have a question about my Moto G.
I live in Brazil and I bought a Moto G 3rd Gen XT1543 (it said on the site that it was the model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage)
I just saw in the memory tab inside Settings app that my phone only has 1GB of RAM, but has 16Gb of storage.
In the Hardware Information tab in "About the Phone" shows 1Gb as well as in CPU-Z app too.
I'm not understanding very well, is it really that my phone only has 1GB of RAM?
It doesn't have the TV feature that other versions in Brazil has.
Look, in THIS link it specifies that XT1543 is 16/2 and is sold in Brazil.
For Brazilians, I bought here.

Edit: oh, another thing that showed me that my device had 2GB of RAM is the "screen protector" that comes with the device, the one that shows some of the phone's features. That said it had 2GB, why is my device only 1GB?
I'm running Marshmallow, I don't know if it changed something during the update (I highly doubt it but you never know)
I'm so frustrated
In mexico i bought the same model and yes it said it was a 2gb but really was a 1gb. That sucks

Hello,
This is the reason I bought my XT1543 directly from source, Motorola's site.
The Brazilian market is doing a bacchanal with Moto G3 models.
Procon, Cade, Proteste and Idec should sue Brazilian dealers.
The model XT1543 is dual SIM, 16 GB internal memory and 2 GB RAM !
Brazilian here too. I bought from Motorola's website for this very reason. It's the only way to be sure you're getting what you ask.
Did you check the price when you bought? 2gb version is way pricier than 1gb.

Yeah, now I see that is based on luck, haha
I didn 't want to buy on Motorola' site because the price was a little too high for what I could afford.
I bought my Moto G for R$809, which is a very nice price, considering that now is over R$1099
