Anyone tried official software update "V20a-mar-19-2015"?

Hi everyone..
I'm on the stock rom and I just got a notifiction for OS update with the software named as "V20a-mar-19-2015", and no more info. Anyone updated to this software??.. Any info about it would be appreciated.

I just started downloading the V20a-mar-19-2015 update.
The only thing i would like to know is if this update has any negative impact in battery life in daily usage.
8% of 650.71MB...
Currently using D838 32GB with stock kit kat

Could you kindly upload it please? I will test it. I'm looking for a version with the ability to hide the navigation buttons so am hoping this will be the one

Any one tried this update. Is it lollipop? And which version 5.1 or 5.0.1?

Its LP 5.0.1
Seems pretty stable so far. Also my concerns about battery life were faulty so far.Seems to been hanging tough. Maybe better than before. I should make one more
cycling charging for better results since i used a lot of battery power, since 100%, in order to do the update-app updates-system configurations etc.
Give me some more days of testing for more results. I was a bit hesitant at first but i totally recommend it the more i use it with the new update.

Could you tell me where is it downloaded in my device? I downloaded the update through WiFi in my device.
But i might not be able to upload it somewhere though, cause my connection sucks and really dont have much time. I ll give it a try though.

I also got the same update, I am from India. But got the error while updating through OTA method(Through phone update option) as my phone was rooted (OTA update will not work on rooted devices).
So I installed it through LG flash tool.
It's running well, no crash so far. I have to mention that I did face battery drain issue which is normal when you upgrade the firmware and somehow battery stat file is not updated.
Best fix is to do a factory reset from setting and if you can't afford to that than do a battery calibration, but it requires root access. I did it and now I am getting good battery backup.

Does it now have the ability to hide the on screen navigation buttons in this version?.......Settings/Display/Home Touch Buttons

The only thing I've noticed with the update is the screen swipe effect..

I asked some modder friends on LGViet about thing, they said: This function only on Korea version. My device after upgrade to Lollipop V20a (before is KK D83810f - ESA) not have hide navigation buttons. If you need this function, you can use ROM Cook.

Demigod Crash Handler in D838 couple of days after using Lollipop
Hello guys.
After some time with LP 5.0.1 since a couple of days i get the "Demigod Crash Handler" crash in my d838 like the one that is described here http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/76116-demigod-crash-handler-kernel-crash/
I had installed the "Internet Speed Meter Lite" app and after 1 day of use, it crashed for the first time(Monday).That day the crash showed up 2-3 times untill i unistalled the app.
Then i reboot the phone and fully charged it.
So, yesterday (100%->60% battery duration) and today untill around 20% no error showed up, untill now (~20%). I also, if that helps, had either the Wifi or the Data, "ON" at the point that the error showed up. I also used with no problem in kitkat and 2 weeks with LP, the LTE DISCOVERY app. Just to be sure, i just unistalled it too.
I mention the battery duration because, i have noticed that both time that it happened, the battery was low and around 25%... Its not something sure but, the 1st time that occurred battery (Monday) reading was around 25%. Maybe its irrelevant, but i had to point it.
Untill a couple of days with the LP my phone was perfect. I really enjoyed the new ROM, even if i had a couple of random app freezes (never in kitkat) everything else seems to be ok.
Well, anyone is facing this problem? Any solutions? My phone is all stock, d838 32GB.

installed the update a week ago. i live in Indonesia. update using LG PC suite using restore failed update since im rooted and OTA always fail. the update are kinda hit and miss for me. ART is hogging RAM, i seldom have 1,5 gb of RAM like in 4.4.2 10f. plug and pop are gone, lg life log gone, some themes had to be removed first than installed as normal APK (fairybunny for example). battery life is a bit better though IMO.

Is the battery life better because mind runs out quite quick. And does anyone have heating issue? Thanks

One and a half days with this rom, everything is OK. 33000 Antutu score, good battery (normal, as with other ROMs).
In system info shows 1.7 GB RAM but Antutu (and others) sees 2GB so that's OK.

and there's a bug with Hebrew dialer...
When you receive call, the keypad and the hide icons are on top of another...

There is a versin on 4pda and it is working. I am testing it and seems to work fine

Also - Speaker mode volume is very low (starts high and then reduced...)
I'm reverting back to the Alcatel version...
Since I don't know russian.. I can't post in the forum of 4PDA...
But these are 2 bugs I experience...

Im suffering with bad ROMs but I dont have the original TCL/Alcatel ROM. Can you please share your backup? It would be a lot of help. Currently I cannot even boot into my ROM so I need something flashable via SPFlashtools.

Thank you, installed easy. However I still get frozen screen immediately or almost immediately after startup. Recovery seems to work fine, no freezing, but everything is in chinese
Im guessing its still some problem with the ROM or the EMMC...

baking the motherboard in the oven fixed my constant crashes/freezing. I put details in the S960 Problem solving thread.

As there is no official Q&A thread dedicated to the official CM12.1 nightlies, I thought I'd make one myself.
When reporting a problem, include your version number (date of the nightly) and include some screenshots or logs.
General tips to avoid bugs:
-Don't use any custom kernel like ThunderZap, it destroys many fixes

I have the 25th September nightly but I don't think the problem is with the rom as such. The gesture typing feature isn't working on the aosp keyboard.
Anyone else facing the issue ? How can I solve it?

Go to Settings --> Language & Input --> Android Keyboard (AOSP) --> Gesture Typing and activate it.

yeah I did that.. its all activated but it doesn't work on the keyboard itself. Looked it up on google , seems to be a common issue..

Stock E-mail app has some problems. It doesnt show the email's content (If I change phone's orientation, then the content appears..). I change it with CM12 Email app, it works stable.

Just install latest rom.... If you install old rom then you will get update notification for latest rom... Take nandroid backup before intalling...
I generally skip 2 or 3 rom and direct install latest rom as i have low Internet speed...
Generally nowadays there is update of cm12.1 almost everyday...

Display problem in latest nightly (09/29)
In Cm-12.1-201509029-NIGHTLY, there is a display glitch.
The google search bar is cut in half in the desktop. Not an issue, but just a minor glitch

Yeah, but they would be device specific... Every rom would benefit from it... These things are what I search first in a kernel. I don't know why aren't they defaults...

i would not recommend installing cm12.1 rom dated on 3092015 because i found some bugs in it...
the default launcher is giving error when you hold app to create shortcut on homescreen...
so i revert back to 2892015 but it has also some error... notification does not lit while charging wire is connected....
so i restore backup of cm12 last build which is dated on 2092015... it also has bug... it shows no services on lock screen... although i have full network coverage... also apps shortcut missing when you reboot your phone
some of build resolve some bugs and introduce new bugs LOL
choice is yours..... whether to install any of above rom...
feel free to ask anything i will help with best of my knowledge...:laugh:

Are you sure the CPU Max frequency glitch (which was being reset to minimum frequency available on every boot) is due to missing PowerHAL?
It persists even in the latest nightly as of now [20150930].

I think its because cm12 or 12.1 does not included xLoud sound enhancement app.. I have very much loud volume on stock firmware but now on custom rom, i have very low speaker sound

Quick update: everything seems working fine, there's a small bug in advanced SMS settings (fc) . that's not an issue though, other than that its cool. Love the blue

Almost a day on sudamod, experience is very good, no fc except the one mmentioned before, SOT from 90% to 46% 2 hrs 40 mins ,which is excellent. Basically i dont see any reason not to use the rom excellent work dev! I wish you continue support for this rom on Falcon.

Was working fine all day, but restarted 1 hour ago and from that time it was restarting right after booting. When i done wipe i installed rom again, after "optimizing aplications" screen it restarted again and keep restarting all time, then i realized that phone don't recognized SIM card so i thought that that problem is connected with SIM card, so i removed SIM card and phone stopped restarting. After cleaning sim card i inserted it into phone again and there come another phone restart. I was worrying that there is something wrong with phone hardware but i tried to flash my previous rom and luckly it is working.
I am writing that only because that rom was super fast for me, and i am unhappy with loosing that rom. I don't know what can cause that problem. Maybe there are strange drivers for 3G/2G module in that rom? It is also strange because that rom worked all day - from 8 AM - to 9 PM. Anyone else had this problem? I also hope that my english don't cause cancer to your eyes guys

After cleaning sim card i inserted it into phone again and there come another phone restart. I was worrying that there is something wrong with phone hardware but i tried to flash my previous rom and luckly it is working.
I am writing that only because that rom was super fast for me, and i am unhappy with loosing that rom. I don't know what can cause that problem. Maybe there are strange drivers for 3G/2G module in that rom? It is also strange because that rom worked all day - from 8 AM - to 9 PM. Anyone else had this problem? I also hope that my english don't cause cancer to your eyes guys

I had one similar problem, but I thought it was because I flashed stockLite 4.4 before. So I fastboot flashed stock 5.1 and tried again but after a while with the ROM it started to reboot everytime. Sorry my english.

Maybe logcat will be helpful...

Few minor changes like Homescreen apps auto arrange, new icons, folder view, music player ui, etc.. are noticable

Cons:
-Removed Private Apps feature (hiding apps)
-Removed Memos
-Removed network logos feature
-Removed one-tap memory accelerator/booster (homescreen floating button)
-In couple of apps, UI looks unpolished with outdated Font
-Camera Untouched (no improvement in bokeh poor cropping and low light noise)
-No Face Unlock
-No 4G Video Calling
-No Auto Call Recording again!
-Split-Screen doesnt support almost 80% of system apps and even facebook. i say it works for less complicated apps only but yes it works enough for our use
-It took sooooo long to provide this major update but oppo should have given Oreo instead of Nougat but still im thankful

UPGRADING INSTRUCTIONS:
Method 1:
Copy the downloaded rom to internal memory
Go to File Manager and press on the rom and press Update. Thats it
Method 2:
1. Turn off your mobile
2. Hold VolumeDown+Power Buttons are 2 or 3 seconds until it powers on
3. Tap on "ENGLISH"
4. Select the First option which is Phone Storage
5. Select the downloaded .zip (ROM file) and confirm flashing
6. Done. Reboot

i believe this rom is not released in india but in Philippines or indonesia. somehow someone leaked the link and spreaded over to internet and here we are enjoying this update.
some say this nougat update is only available at oppo service center but not in oppo site nor ota update. so idk 100%.
in about phone>regulation> i see only Philippines,thailand,indonesia,europe country names but no india. if u are in marshmallow rom can you confirm me what u see in that menu?

Thanks for the heads up, I just updated my OPPO F3 PLUS 6GB version to 7.1 using your post. All the things yiu described are there in the update. Though oreo is the trend, but I can make amends and manage with Nougat. Thanks again my dude.

thanks mate! im trying to post as many as useful posts about our powerful device f3 plus.
as u r having 6gb variant u might see normal performance like before but as a 4gb user i saw alot of faster performance in this update and tooo smooth
suggestion:
some apps doesnt support split screen in this update like almost all system apps and facebook app etc...
>enable dev options and check the Force resizable option at bottom of the list and then you can disable dev options
clone app and gaming acceleration features not supporting many apps/games
only rare stupid apps n games are supporting but most of the popular apps doesnt support. useless features

The notification logo in the notification bar is removed. I really liked that logo cause it really helps to notify whenever i got a message or something is updating. But overall the update is pretty good.

i have posted screenshots and using the same nougat rom and also given review of it.
also there is a root method available for our oppo f3+ but works in 6.0 only. when im clear about rooting process i will post a new thread.

Private pictures at phone security
So I just updated my phone. For some reason I hid my photos at phone security - private file - photo. So now I don't know where to find it. Please help

Thanks for the update file and it seems very nice and running very fine on my Oppo F3. But though there seems to be a problem with the music player (may a kernel problem, idk) as it is not showing any album arts for the mp3 files and I know that my mp3 files have been tagged correctly. So please help me with that anyone.
