Can someone tell me why the hell are there tons of root methods for other phones but not for the J700T from tmobile???
Does this make sense?
Yes it makes sense. It's one of the newest versions and there is at least one developer kind enough to be working g on it for us. It's a matter of free time I would assume. I can't wait for root and twrp but until it's here waiting is what I am doing.

Ok but just to let you know, the phone isnt that new. The 1st one debuted last year in 2015.
Yes but the t is new as of a few months ago unless I am mistaken from what I have read on here. Different ram or partition sizes or chips or something. I let those smarter than me figure it out.

I dony want to sound crazy to you. But i am religious. And i want to know if you and i can pray about it to inspire a dev to make a root for us for the phone. Let me know what you think and we can schedule a time for prayer either on xda or in pm.
No problem with prayers. Unfortunately I work around 20 hours a day so timing can be problematic.

I have an extra g2x that I will only be using for testing and experimenting.
If any dev would like a tester, let me know. I have no use for my extra phone so I'll do whatever.
My daily is a g2x using hfs 1.4. But thinking about reverting to cm7 rc1. Not sure yet.

That's cool and all... but does not belong in this forum.
Yeah that's very nice of you. Maybe donate it to whitehawkx so he doesn't have to blind develop aokp for us. But this should belong in general section.

Donating would be too much to ask for, at least he's offering it to help to the community.

Flaming him is not what any of us did, speaking the truth and not babying him is what we did.

Yeah I know it is a lot to ask for but that's why I said maybe. I honestly don't think anyone was flaming him. I gave him constructive feedback that it was in the wrong section.

The way I understand it is that he has 2 g2xs, so all he would have to do is flash the experimental rom and insert his sim and it would be able to receive data and make calls. I could be wrong though.
The IMEI on the second phone is blocked by T-Mo. (I like to call them T-less though) So, he can't use it for mobile or data.
How'd you know that?

The qualification for being a good beta tester really comes down to less about the phone you have and more about the skills you carry. Knowing how to logcat is a bare minimum while reading it and understanding it is a plus. A lot of us would have no problem flashing experimental builds but to really be of use is to have skills in deving

Hello guys,
These past 2 years were some if the must fun I have ever had with a phone. Rooting and installing a custom ROM was a totally new experience and the first time rooting was nerve wrecking. My blaze had survived multiple drops and many, many custom ROMs, but the time has come for me to move on. I have now acquired the LG g2 and wow, this phone is amazing. The same I said when I got our little blaze. I will still check in from time to time and I still have my blaze so I could occasionally do some testing. Anyways guys, I will now be moving to my new home(both in real life and on xda ) thanks for the great time!
Sincerely,
Veliion

Hey Velilion. Thanks man for contributing and helping a lot here. I have moved phones also, but since my brother uses this, I'm still here (not a bad thing lol). Got friends that also use some ROMs that are here. Been helping them out also. Hope you have fun with that new LG G2 you got . And also have fun with that new home of yours. New home, new beginning xD (at least in my family, they use that term).

Have you rooted it yet? I read that the bootloader is unlockable, but are able to bypass that. I'm considering getting this exact device on Verizon (need it for work) and would like a trusted xda'er opinion (which you are)...

Don't worry, you don't have to leave your house
When: 10 AM PDT tomorrow(6/15/14)
Where: In this thread, in #towelroot on freenode, and at towelroot.com
Software live at https://towelroot.com RIGHT NOW!
Please report bugs to my gmail geohot+towelroot or in this thread.
New version will be released later today hopefully fixing them.
Definitely invited: AT&T GS5, Verizon GS5, GS4 Active, Nexus 5
May have some troubles at the door but invited: AT&T/Verizon Note 3
Possibly invited: Every Android phone with a kernel build date < Jun 3
Stay tuned right here for updates. I'm coming for that bounty.
v3 is live! More support. Reboot on your own time. modstrings
What's a modstring?
A way to support your obscure phone!
Since I don't own every phone, you can fix it yourself
http://towelroot.com/modstrings.html
And modstrings have their first success!
On LG L34C use "1337 0 0 0 4 0"
Eventually the server will push these if people find enough
Still no real HTC/Moto support from phones without writable system.
If someone is willing to give me one of these phones for testing I'll add good support.
Same deal for Exynos.
Killed bugs:
Note 3 with kernel 3.4.0-722276 is FIXED! Redownload.
Fixed Note 3 with kernel 3.4.0-636608 thanks to analytics.
Download failed issue should be fixed.
Fixed Sprint Note 3 with kernel 3.4.0-951486
Nexus 5 v2 issue fixed
Known bugs:
Note 3 with kernel 3.4.0-257432 doesn't seem to work. Updating to 722276 should fix.
Newest Moto and HTC don't currently work because /system is write protected.
Detected as Andr.Exploit.Ratc by some virus scanners. It is an Android exploit. Will not fix.
Does it trip KNOX?
Most probably not. My phone says "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0", but no promises.
What's your paypal?
[email protected] if the tool works for you.
I also have a bitcoin: 1DFhk6fs26AafaNiQyEgdGM7NSaLzVN2VE
What's the hash of the apk file?
towelroot.com has https now!
People having DNS issues should clear their cache.
Will this brick my phone?
Most probably not. towelroot alone hasn't bricked a phone yet.
The stupid decisions you make once you have root are all your own however.
I rooted, what's next?

Thank you sir.

I do not know if there is an age limit, but anyway, it's up to your dad...
Been there without understanding what you hear may be boring or awkward...
Maybe it is better to let this one go, learn, read the forums... i am sure you will be ready to follow your father and your brother in the next devcop
Btw, i am jealous of them going too...

well, ive never ever used xposed, nor have i ever wanted to. but ive known the answer to this one 100% since the L preview first came out. no, you wont get the answer from me, this ones too easy, do a tiny bit of searching.
ART and Xposed don't mix.
Yet...
I'll give you the same answer that Google would have given you- NO.
I think the dev said it's really hard to develop because of ART. He said he is having second thoughts about even trying to release xposed for lollipop but that may change with future releases.

It doesn't work, period. Go ahead and try to install it if you want, even if it doesn't brick your phone you still won't be able to do anything with it.
