[THEMING]OOS Theme Thread: Layers/Xposed/TBO - OnePlus 3 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Still working on this but gotta run:
I've seen there's some functionality with Layers being used in Oxygen, I did an all black theme and the only problem I could find was Gmail wouldn't open. Could of been other problems, but I didn't wait to see - I'm just saying it didn't boot loop. So anyone else experimenting with this? Maybe there could be a guide made, or a mod to increase its functionality with this Rom. I used CM on OP1 but Im using OOS here because of dash charge and want to make it my own.
Before we go any further do a Nandroid Backup before you start messing around with these. Also if you select EVERYTHING you wont know whats broken when you reboot so select a few things at a time. Onto the meat and potatoes:
Layers themes:
So first thing I want to point out is that right now its seems the main compatibility issue is with the Framework layer, which ranges from not getting past the start screen to having an all black screen and then there's bootloop or (in my case) the phone Rebooting every time I touch settings which is lame but all easy to fix - recovery and ???I'm pretty sure it can get fixed in Recovery too under file manager???.
Crystal Tronik Dark: first off this theme is AWESOME if you like any sort of Tron like theme, and what I personally use. Its not available in the Playstore but is part if the Google+ Layers thread and can easily be found and downloaded from AFH. It's really well done.
Peeaf:
Domination: Need to see if there's a difference between Pro and regular but users reporting Framework layer working.
Lunar: Users reporting Framework layer working.
Xposed modules:
Team Black Out(TBO) - Clear/Dark/Theme Ready:
First off I'm not sure if I need to ask first to mention this but THIS WORK IS NOT MY OWN and I'm only wanting to point it out for relevance within this thread. They accept donations, and what they do is awesome so please consider. You'll notice in a bunch of the layers themes there's "Theme Ready" apps and this is what that means. I have not yet had an issue with an app needing this yet, as the theme has applied without it being theme ready but will report further later.
These apps come transparent, blacked out(inverted) and theme ready.

I have played with a few of the layers themes. Magpie results in boot loop - my guess is the systemui is not compatible. Swift Black is what I have been running for the past few days. It's mostly compatible, but gmail notifications often have unreadable text. (really the only issue I can find)

Oxygen os doesn't support layers fully. If only someone could make it work. I don't want to use CM since the camera quality is not better compare to stock camera app

Most layers themes (components) will work OK -- just don't apply any framework layers, that's what usually causes trouble.
Too bad because framework is where most of the good stuff is. SystemUI layers seem to work ok but without the framework it is incomplete, and you'll get unreadable text with dark themes.

Try out Peeaf. Working for me to get dark themes on most apps. There's a bit of funky "black on grey" in some apps, but overall I prefer it over the crazy amount of white previously.

Domination works great. Plus it makes everything nice and dark.

Yes, fully compatible with framework. I'm currently using the yellow framework modification.

I'm not having the same luck with domination. (donate) it doesn't boot loop, but boots to a black screen.

Domination framework working ok for me :good:
normal framework (only) applied, everything else Material Glass:

I notice most of the themes that are inverted working good.

For the guys using dark layer themes, do you guys have the stock dark settings enabled, or are you leaving it off?

Only applied domination layer framework?
Some more layer?
Font?
Enviado desde mi ONEPLUS A3003 mediante Tapatalk

^ yes, for now only framework applied from Domination
other layers are applied from Material Glass
font is Storopia (applied via xposed / iFont)

We can make a list with layers with frameworks working in our OP3
Any layer more ?
I tried Lunar Not works, DarkStock not works, Destinity Not works, Bletz not works

so far it looks like Domination is the only one
I've tried Transparent, Material Glass, Grounge, and Crystal Tronik Dark -- framework hangs reboot on all of 'em

Great deep black theme

If your into the deep black themes, this one is great for the Note 5. On the AMOLED display it looks stunning, true deep black hole, not dark grey, or midnight blue, but black as black.
To run this theme, you need two things;
#1: Material Dark theme installed from the Samsung store
#2: Flash this zip in Recovery "Blackery" from this link below;
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347771058
All credit goes to Cambunch on XDA here;

really like this theme............then realized needed root and i'm on verizon.............it would be great to have something like this on the theme store for samsung.
Amazing work @cambunch
what does the drop down notification looks like
i like this theme as well, however, after applying the "blackout" zip, my Gallery app crashes when trying to change the home/lockscreen wallpaper. is this happening to anyone else? i had to revert to a backup i made before installing/flashing the zip. FYI, i'm on Loco's deodexed ROM. thanks.

No its good.
-from galley I can set wallpaper from pic
-from camera app on bottom right can enter into gallery by pressing little picture
-can set wallpaper from long pressing on screen, from both twiz, and nova
- also (and this was more by chance then on purpose) changed theme by means of ultra power saving mode and it changed back to blackey afterwards
I'm patiently waiting for this to hit the theme store.
beautiful theme thanks. every background is black and cyan for icons and settings icons. dropdown menu icons are white.

[THEME] terpsichora_N (S8 spoiler)

"new OP (still WIP)
theme got updated to support nougat, now with S8 influence.
PLEASE REMOVE COMPLETELY OLD VERSION IF YOU HAVE ANY BEFORE INSTALLING THIS. The newest version is "0terpsichora_N_RC3. apk" and "0terpsichora_N_RC3_lightnotif"
PLEASE INSTALL ONLY ONE, you cannot install both at the same time. If your rooted and have means to change title text color on notification or just can bear with the dark one use the ..RC3.apk, if you're not rooted and want a bugless theme use the ..RC3_lightnotif.apk one.
*
Still bugged (dark colored on 3rd party apps) notification title text (need help on this, or ask rom developers to support dark notification template on their ROMs) please report any miscolored, bugs or give bright ideas to improve this. thanks for using, enjoy and please atleast let me know if you kang any part of this theme.
INSTALLATION for rooted devices (you should do all this before 5min trial ends) :
-install and apply theme
-go fast to your root file manager and navigate:
-root/data/overlays/preferences folder
-delete all its contents (7files) not the actual preferences folder.
-then navigate to:
-root/data/overlays/jsonfiles
-from there, CUT and paste the contents (1file) of trialjson folder to inside of userjson folder.
-restart phone and reapply theme.
reserve for Q/A
Nice keep up the good work mate, will test this bad boy and post feedback later..

those icons are Grace UX icons mate, I just reduced the roundness of the original. as for the sizes yeah I think it's kinda big if you use 4x4 grid on homescreen try to use 5x5 and see.. (thanks for input, I will try with smaller icons for system apps and the rest and make an update )
Wowww beautiful thank you
Can you fix the bugs and make more themes like these? Btw i think the blue sym, smiley, enter and back button on the keyboard isn't that nice. Can you make it grey. And the keyboard swipe color too

nope there is a way for non rooted devices, but I won't tell how to do it, there's a lot of tutorials on this forum already.

guys be sure to restart after applying the theme as there are assets that can only be seen ones the Theme applied fully loaded. I try to include dynamic icons on the clock but it's only semi dynamic (it changes only if the home screen refreshes/restarted)
**and also if someone can post a proper screenshots for this I'll be glad.

mate i do not need to tell me how, thanks for your hard work.....you will be great if you can save the theme in wqhd and not fhd resolution!!!!!
Great theme but it is a shame to have to use a 3rd party unknown chinese app that needs to have total control of your device just to run the theme. I really liked the theme but any app like package disabler asking for such permissions is beyond my security concerns. Thank you a lot for the theme, truly a great piece.

I made the Theme even before the Theme Editor is released so I just used the Olympic theme as my base, that one having a fhd resolution only. I tried to migrate my work to the Theme editor and try the wqhd resolution but it looks weird, so I just go with the fhd again sorry.

cant do it on the theme editor so unpack/decompile the theme apk bro, look on assests folder, the one apk with ..aodservice in it, also unpack it. compare yours with mine to modify to your liking, then on your aodservice apk look to the values folder and edit your public.xml delete all id's. just repack/recompile your aodservice apk and put it again on your theme package. then recompile your theme package and sign it. (seems complicated if your not familiar with old school themeing, but if you know what I'm talking about, its very easy )

I totally forgot about that,Ö I think there's a bug on the editor that you released because on the output apk, when I inspect it there is no ..inCallui on the asset folder.. I'll fix it, give me time, I'll make it great with note7 icons also on the next update with smaller icons and camera Ala note 7.
*and I think we are really getting near on receiving Grace UX, because that theme editor has so much stuff from Grace UX. little by little they're removing stuff from old touchwiz.

Themes - Inspired from CM and other Android Skins

Hello Guys !
I have started to make themes that are inspired from CM13 themes and from other OS skins.
this is my first take at themes so there might be few misses ! wish me luck and i hope you people enjoy my themes.
Themes will be posted for Marshmallow for QHD and Full HD display. (M - Full HD) (M2 - QHD)
I will add more themes in the future.
All the themes includes custom UI Sounds
- Dialer tones
- Touch sounds
- Keyboard sounds (Both typing and deleting)
- Ringtone
- Notification tone.
Please note that this all are trial themes, to use this themes you either have to be running the xposed module 'galaxy xmod' or you can use the package disabler from play store to disable theme store after applying my themes or If you are rooted then go to data/overlay/jsonfiles/trialjson then move the file to userjson then go back to overlays and delete preferences folder
Reboot and done
it may or may not be fully compatible with nougat, so please pardon
P.S. all of these themes are for free.
EXO UI - This theme has everything custom made !
Dialer
answer and reject buttons
add buttons
delete button on lockscreen
back button on action bar
beautiful icons
and
Never seen Toggles before !!!!
Update - New "belo" theme inspired from substratum's Belo, i hope you people like it. More such themes to come.
For all those Dark Inky black lovers this theme is dedicated for our Sammy's super AMOLED displays !!
this theme includes custom made On-Off Switches exclusively made by me ! Enjoy !!
Please let me know about my work
Love Material design ? don't worry i got you covered in this theme

then get ready to be amazed when you turn on the screen after applying this theme !

Good.Make it free! Works on S7 Nougat.
yes all those themes are free
it's just that i made it unofficially so it appears in themes as trial.
It constantly switches back to normal touchwiz theme, what should I do.
What I did was that, i installed the given apk and then went to the theme store and clicked on free trial, it then changed my theme to samoled dark green theme, and then, after few minutes, it switched back to the stock touchwiz theme.
What should I do???

Working Substratum themes

I'm creating this so hopefully people who want to can share which Substratum theme they're using/used.
I'm running AOSP and so far have only used Flux. It's a great looking theme but would be interested in trying new ones.
If you choose to share be sure to include which rom you're running.
And if applicable please share any special directions. ***Someone just helped me apply a theme. The actual instructions were a little different than the one the app tells you to use.
I am already on OB32 and i have working since months the following themes:
- Swift black ( System and overall third party apps )
- PitchBlack ( Everything )
- Ozone ( Yep, even without updates i use this theme only for the quick settings rows of 5 )
- AOD Digit Customizer ( Works great for the ambien display, i changed the 1 number to blue )
- AospUI Black ( System and overall third party apps )
Those themes are the ones that i have on my substratum.
Have a great day

Which ROM/ROMs did you apply these themes to?
Here's where it gets confusing to me.
Regardless of whether we're running stock, AOSP, Los etc. we all have to flash Oxygen OS firmware. Does this cause any conflicts?
Example-- if it says 'Oxygen OS not supported', but I'm running AOSP on my OP5T, does that mean the theme should work?

Yes, the themes should work. I've tried all of those themes on multiple roms, and they all work. Some are better supported than others, so there may be some icons that aren't themed, but overall they should work on any ROM aside from Oxygen OS.

These seem to work well on 9.0.8, even navbar is themed, and QS tiles can be edited. We all know by now the wrong theme can soft-brick your device, but these are solid and worth the money and gotta support the devs
Aether - edits QS rows, columns, and changes position of the clock
Ethereal - is a dark theme with pastel colours, but themes navigation bar, so I'm only using add-ons that theme system icons, QS, status bar.
SwiftDark - provides dark theme to apps, white backgrounds are blinding.
AOD Customizer - Speaks for itself

I don't know what the high contrast theme need to be installed for. I've been through three or four themes that do not work for oneUI 2.0 & android 10.
That's the advice from people with much more experience than I do. If you don't want to, that's your choice.

The white background is only until you reboot like it tells you to. You also need the system dark theme applied. There's a shortcut in the synergy menu. You also should enable the ace theme option as that seems to be working best so far.

After it installs the theme files apply the "synergy ace theme", then apply "High Contrast Theme", followed by rebooting. After that it should be installed and working.

Like i said, no themes work. followed what was said. This is what i get.
I give up it just doesn't work. refunded again not going to mess with it. sad thing is I think I paid for synergy and can't use anything.

You are obviously doing something wrong. I'm using liv dark everything is working correctly
I also have all compatible themes, i use different overlays from other themes for certain apps that liv dark does not have.
Did you select your Android version and did you apply common framework correctly everything is correctly themed even Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Vanced.
You need read and closely follow these instructions.
Enable Ace Mode, let the download of high contrast BUT DO NOT APPLY THE THEME.
1 Select desired overlays (some overlays have multiple options which you will have to go into substratum lite and.select the extra option)
2 Once all desired overlays are chose press build in synergy.
3 apply default Samsung theme.
4 apply Synergy Ace theme (10min trial)
5 apply synergy theme
6 reboot
And your theme is done

It's working albeit you have to close all apps to apply the ace theme because it has a bug it works after a few attempts.
You are obviously missing a step because it works well.

The post is about "themes that work on Samsung one ui 2.0" please read properly
And not about substratum specifically.

The op never specified substratum themes. Just themes in general. Yes, the ones mentioned in op are substratum themes, but the thread title is asking what themes work in general. So hex, substratum, themegalaxy, etc are technically relevant.
