runs fast even on the XT720 and that phone is slower than SNS
no problem running it on SNS
Its like a little stutter sometimes when you fling the bird its kinda hard to notice was just wondering if it was just me maybe its the ads
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I use ad blocker which works great to get rid of the ads.
Are you overclocking? Sometimes it lags for me at higher speeds and will even crash or reboot the phone.
1.2ghz is the sweet spot for my phone.

How frequent are these "lags"? Check your running services and battery use and make sure you don't have any rogue service or application utilizing your CPU.
Even on the NS you'll notice a slight jitter once in a blue moon. It's just the nature of a multitasking phone that some request or process may suddenly take away too much CPU from your current application.
closing apps , lowering to 1.2 from 1.3 and adfree seemed to have fixed it thanks
I have seen it in some levels, fairly infrequent. it stutters a bit. I given up playing it since I wiped and rooted my phone though
I noticed when I played a few minutes of st patty seasons on the subway the sound and animation wasn't completely in sync.. Nothing crazy though. Otherwise it was fine.

When I use the phone to play a game or web browse it starts to get really hot on the top half of the screen.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Is there anyway that I can to see if the phone is overheating/getting too hot?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
How hot is it getting? I'm pretty sure every smartphone experiences some kind of heat from gaming or streaming videos specially when you are charging it at the same time.

I mean just web browsing it is burning my hand. It only is the top half.

Get a temperature app to see how hot it's getting.

Any apps running in the background besides using the browser? Have you rebooted your device?

No and the phone does not get nearly as hot on wifi. Really odd. Also the phone was overcloaked before but I pushed it back to just 1ghz. My phone burning me for using the browder out is not cool though. Think there is an issue?

Well there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the device since you said you put it back to 1 ghz. Really odd if you ask me. Maybe its a battery problem? Sometimes defective batteries cause overheating and can explode.

It only gets hot when I use Japan too. Never on wifi. (Well it does a little playing games) I think I will call customer support tomorrow.

And it is not getting hot where the battery is.

I'd recommend you flash and reinstall the ROM on your phone. Sounds to me like you've still go some of the old performance updates kicking in making the device hotter!
For me your temperatures are pretty normal. When I am not gamimg my max was 91F!!

Since you claim to have been able to move around the CPU frequency, I assume you are running setCPU. In setCPU you can look at Info tab where under the battery header it also displays the battery tempt. It's normal for the phone to heat while you are charging, on call for long or gaming for long duration but if you are seeing absurdly high reading for the battery tempt, then you better have it checked.
Hmm I had a overheating issue last night, woke up to my phone making a loud noise - I had set setCPU to make a noise when it goes over 40C and it did this today in the early hours of the morning whilst it was charging.
No processes were running other than the normal Live Wallpaper, Keyboard etc.. The phone was quite hot to the touch as well, so I just turned it off.
Weird thing is I have another profile in setCPU to have the max freq at 800Mhz and lowest 100Mhz when the screen is off so don't know how it got so hot?
Anyone else's getting hot to touch after bit of use? I took off my dot case after fifteen minutes of use and the back was almost too hot to touch. Even with the case off it never cooled down. I'll check my wife's phone to compare tonight.

Definitely something wrong with the phone you have. This is by far the coolest running phone I've ever had. Doesn't get even remotely hot.

This! I have the incipio dual pro case which is basically 2 cases in one and still doesn't get hot after 15+ minutes of straight dead trigger 2 gaming full graphics! While connected to 4g LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.
This is the first device I've used that does not get hot, I would exchange

same here
Can install GSam battery monitor for free. Nice to see battery info in the drop down notification screen and will tell you how hot the battery is. People can have different "opinions" on the definition of hot but this way will give you an actual number. Under heavy use my device gets to 97 degree F. Believe that is the highest i've seen it get so far. Will try and play some dead trigger 2 for a solid 15min or so and check battery temp, that will get it high if anything else would!
I can say though coming from an HTC One X+ with overclocked Tegra 3 chip, that phone got up to 120 degrees F, that is freaking hot! Not a bunk device, just made with poor design as the Tegra 3 chip was never made for mobile devices, especially overclocked. Got in over my head with that device!
My silver model gets toasty with moderate use. My brothers grey is always ice cold though.

Well according to the battery monitor my phone was dropping voltage ridiculously high so I'm going to install a battery monitor and keep an eye on it and see if I can duplicate the problem I'm still not sure what it was but I do know that I was in an area that should have had 4G in the highest setting I got was 3G not sure if that causes an issue or not but it's something I'll keep an eye out

I can tell my phone will get slightly warm after some use but nothing crazy.
I have the grey model and it definitely gets warm after some heavy use. I was slightly disappointed by this because I remember reviews said it would never get even remotely warm. Its about on par with how warm my M7 got. I definitely wouldn't say it gets too hot to the point where I couldn't keep it in my hand for an extended period of time though.
I know I said that mine stays cool. With heavy use like gaming while charging, it gets a little warm, however no where near the level the lumia icon got. I'd have to put that brick down every 10 min or so and let it cool because it got to hot to touch.

Just wanted to give an update. Google services was the culprit. disabled a few unneeded items and all is well. In fact i been using it all day on reddit and digg and 8 hours later I'm still over 80%. Loving this phone over my dna. But i can't wait till root to get rid of all the Verizon bloat.

I installed f18 carrier landing from the amazon store.
After playing the game for 5 mins, my phone started to heat a lot.
First I thought it was due to the lollipop update maybe it needed some time to settle down.
But everytime I open that game, my phone gets very hot. ( As hot as Shakira :silly: )
Help me !!
Yeah I have that too. For example playing NFS No Limits. The phone heats up in a moment to the max of 74°C.. I thibk the only options are underclocking and undervolting..

Then reflash the rom using flashtool

Mine runs pretty smooth except snapchat. Sometimes it's laggy when I opened it, sometimes it wont load. But i think it's just the new updated of the app. It happens on my other phone too. Although I gotta say the 3GB does make it a bit slow under heavy load. It would take a few seconds to load up.
Can anyone else confirm lag or lack of on their F8332? I just ordered one because of the extra on-board storage but wondering if I should cancel my order and just buy a local model..
Cheers
Strange
That's really weird, mine is ultra smooth, it's a beast!
Caught the occasional stutter only whle setting it up, while 42 applications were being downloaded and a multitude of them running in the background.
Same here. Couldn't be happier with my XZ. The only time I experience any slight lag is when my battery gets to under 8%, & then I experience some lag, but that is the only time.
Sent from my F8331 using XDA-Developers mobile app
If you have "STAMINA mode" on then the phone lags. If it is off then there is no lag.
What version you have of laggy?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
No lag on mine. Single Sim version.
