Bricked Razr HD XT926 - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
There is a XT926 Verizon here, belonged to my friend, but he gave it to me while the phone was bricked. Not Rooted/unlocked/... , but I dont know how it went through this.
Now, the phone doesnt go into Fastboot/Recovery, No buttion works, no combination of buttion works. By putting it in charger, the green light that above goes on and after some minutes connected to a cable, M logo comes and nothing else. By disconnecting the cable nothing changes, and the logo stays till the battery is dead.
On the M logo, pressing buttons does s.th but no result. By pressing em M logo goes away and that green light blinks and when you release em, M comes back by a green light.
Ive tried Vol up + Vol Down + power, Power + Vol D, Power + Vol Up,...
No success.

You just need a fastboot cable to flash the stock firmware to device with rsd lite. I got mine for 10 bucks on amazon and it works on all my motorola devices. you can get to fastboot with a dead or low battery with this cable.
Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/Fastboot-Mot...qid=1467761420&sr=8-1&keywords=fastboot+cable
When you see the M come on just Hold the 3 buttons until device goes off. Then let go and right away press same three buttons till you see black screen on and wala you can can scroll down to fastboot mode. If you have trouble with this or any questions just hit me up. Make sure you have drivers installed for this device on your machine. Use the latest version of rsdlite and links for firmware is on shadows page in the forum. Good luck! I forgot to mention the battery is internal. If the battery goes bad you will run into this problem but you can still get to fastboot mode when connected to charger or at least I always did. Hopefully its just the battery. If not then you will need fastboot cable and rsd lite and drivers for device. Flashing stock for me on this device takes around 20 minutes give or take.

How to reboot your phone when it freezes?

I was thinking about this, because custom ROMs can be unstable and can freeze your phone. But we can't pull the battery, so what can we do?
Nvm
Found similar thread on the One X forum. Imagine that we couldn't reboot.. stuck for life on the freezescreen LOL xD
This is definitely a positive side-effect of a non-removable battery, although other phones can (and do) function the same. As was said in the linked thread, the iPod/Phone will reset with a long-press on the power button. My old Fascinate would reset if you held the power and, I think, volume down for long enough. Hardware-wise, that was probably the only complaint I have against the Inc 2 - every time it freezes (usually my own fault), I have to pry the battery cover off, pry the battery out, replace, then snap the cover back on. Really nice just being able to hold a button or two down for x number of seconds.

You can wait till the battery is empty (sorry I couldn't resist).
Also how can we open bootloader when it's required to remove the battery

Reboot:
Press and hpold power button until phone reboots.
Touchscreen buttons will flash 5 times, and then the phone will vibrate. At this point phone is turned off.
the phone will reboot automatically after a few seconds.
Bootloader:
Press and hold until buttons stop flashing and phone vibrates. phone is now off. Let go of power.
Press and hold vol- and power before the phone automatically reboots.
This is tested on 1.53.401.2
I was asking myself the same question

I think it's a typo, and it's "hold power"
But on the One X it's hold volume button (+ and -) and hold power !
Stuck on flash screen is Power and Vol up+Vol Down

Indeed it is a typo.
As for the one X/XL, the process is identical to what i wrote above, as is the V.

Holding power should work from any screen, it's hardware coded.
I hope the power button doesn't fail like it eventually did on my Nexus one.

[Q] HTC 8X A&T semi-"bricked" - details - help?

Boy, I've read a ton about this issue and no one seems to be able to solve this exact problem.
Got my hands on an HTC 8X which, if left to run normally, just hangs on the at&t logo screen.

And before you say anything, no, the hard reset doesn't work, because using the initial volume down/power procedure reboots the phone...the hard reset must be done from "off," not reboot. Plus, if the battery runs out entirely, the device will just enter the reboot cycle again when recharged. Just like the issue discussed here -> http://www.brighthand.com/default.asp?newsID=19892&news=windows+phone+8+bricked+htc+8x+nokia+lumia+920+microsoft+bricking
Now, I can reliably get the device to either the "flash settings" static screen, like this, almost every time I try doing volume up keypresses from boot:
...OR I can get it to the root system info screen, like this, almost every time I do some multiple volume down keypresses interspersed with an up keypress at boot, while connected to my computer via USB [if I disconnect, the screen changes to "serial"]:
However, I can't figure out how to bring it back from the dead.
Note that I am not a ROM cook and don't even own a Y-cable, so be gentle if you're going to talk about anything along those lines. However, any advice that isn't related to the hard reset? If so, thanks. If not, at least I've documented this specific "semi-bricked" state on here.
I know you don't want any advice related to the hard-reset method, but I am curious if you tried the following:
1. Run the phone down until the batter is 100% dead. (unresponsive when you hit the power switch.
2. While plugging in the power cable, press and hold the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons, Release them when you see an icon on the screen.
3. Then press the following hardware buttons in this sequence: VOLUME UP > VOLUME DOWN > POWER > VOLUME DOWN.
Let me know how you make out.

Yep, I absolutely did that, but thanks. Did not work. Would only reboot the phone and lock it on the at&t screen again.
Sounds like no one can help here.
Without an At&t stock ROM, it will be tough to fix this.
What did you end up doing with your phone? Any luck?
Got the same problem on my HTC 8X AT&T. Got a RMA setup with HTC. What did you do?

Please help! S5 encryption fail cannot reset phone to factory settings

I have the sprint samsung galaxy s5 north american version. SM-G900P.
It was working fine all day. sometime during the night it just restarted while i was browsing the internet (while waiting for Jurassic World to play) and the error popped up saying unable to complete encryption due to interruption. There is a button to that says "reset device" but it doesn't work.
I tried to do a factory reset by holding the "home+VOL UP+ power button" but after it loads past the recovery mode. All i see is the android with the red exclamation mark and then the phone just automatically restarts.
To my knowledge this phone isn't rooted.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what i can do to fix my phone.

Hey I appreciate your input, I only included that download screen to show more info about the phone.... As I have stated in my post that I tried to do a factory reset via holding the PWR,VOL+,and HOME button but after the recovery mode loads. I just get the dead android with the red triangle of death. (red exclamation mark) and you know how usually after the recovery mode loads you have the list of options on the side that you can scroll through using the vol buttons it was not there. Then the phone would just restart after a few seconds. I tried to hold the VOL+ and POWER button after the recovery mode to see if maybe it would do something but it did't work...
So far I've ran into one other person with the problem and they just gave up and bought another phone! Wish me luck!
Found a solution yet?
I have the same issue, happened in the morning after my alarm went off. Luckily after and not before otherwise I might have been late to work...
Anyway I can't do a factory reset either. Was thinking about flashing the firmware but can't seem to load the bootloader screen either.
Have you found a work around?
Guys, I just went through somewhat similar, but for SM-G900F international version. You might want to take a look: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/s5-sm-g900f-multiple-fatality-soft-t3351343.
cool down
I know i am late but when the triangle comes up with dead android just use power button once and screen will show options

HTC Inspire 4G bricked vibrate 3 times and flashing red led

First, sorry for my poor English, but I try to explain my problem so detailed (I'm not using translator, and I need help because I don't can buy another cellphone from my country (Venezuela))
1 week ago I change my HTC inspire 4G rom to taktIK Release 1, all week work good but yesterday in the morning the main screen don't move, I slide down the notification bar and entry to the settings, all fine but when I go to the main screen the was nothing (only the background image) and don't response... I decide to restart the phone (serious mistake), here the disaster begin...
The phone restart, vibrate 3 times and the red led is flashing and the screen are black... to turn off I take out the batery, here all I do:
-Turn on normally: Vibrate 3 times and flashing red Led.
-Bootloader (vol- and hold on): Vibrate 5 times and green Led (green Led static).
-Fastboot: Vibrate 1 time.
The next I do is connect to the PC with USB:
-If I connect with the cellphone off the Pc detect this as device.
-If I connect with the cellphone on (with the red led are flashing) is "not specificated" as "Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM3)"
I download the SDK and in the platform-tools I open the CMD, put the command "adb devices" and my phone apears as "Recovery":
(The page don't let me put images pls delete the spaces)
i. prntscr. com/ 7475c4bda1124c03a4e64b0e1778e041. png
i. prntscr. com/ 6b3ab22b016f48f393e824bfe409d21b. png
From the CMD I try the commands "adb reboot, reboot-bootloader, reboot-recovery", but the phone vibrate 3 times and the red led is flashing...
I think to install another ROM from the ADB, but the phone don't enter to the bootloader and I don't know how to, another way? Or my phone are death?
Thank so much for your time to read it and try to help, this is my last hope hahaha, take a good day.
Solution
I had the same problem two months ago, but I found that Volume rocker is not letting the device to boot. Due to dust, volume rocker got stuck and this problem occurred.... Latter my friend also had same problem with his HTC Desire HD and the same solution solved his problem:
Try cleaning the volume rocker, do what you can do without damaging your phone...
OR
CUT the volume rocker CABLE, BUT obviously VOLUME BUTTONS WOULD NOT WORK AFTER THAT.
To cut volume rocker cable:
1. Remove battery cover
2. Pick up the sticker on which IMEI and other info or phone is written
3. Snip the ribbon you see there

GT-P3110 "hard"-bricked?

Hello!
I today received a tab2 because it's "bricked".
Indeed, I cannot put it on, nor can I enter neither recovery nor download mode.
The only things I can see is, only when charging (!) 2 different screens (see attachments):
The first is made of one green line where you can read: " "charging_7.jpg" draw failed" [n°1*]
{

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The second is a green line where you can read "ani_upload_4_unknown_reset.jpg" draw failed". [n°2*]
As I said, I can't reach these screens when tab seems to be charged.
I've tried to connect to my pc, but it's not recognised, nor by the pc itself, nor in Odin3. My Samsung drivers ARE correctly functionning!
To get the first screen [n°1*] I only have to put the device plug into the charger.
To get the second screen [n°2*] I need to push on BOTH volume up AND down + power button, then release one of the two volume button (works with both vol+ or vol-)...
Tried to simply hold vol- button + power, nothing happens. Same with vol+ and power buttons.
Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance!!

Hard to get it working when there is no download more or recovery or not recognized on the pc, the only solution left after this is a riffbox or jtag.

Thank you for your response, I was beginning to despair ...
For cons, I do not understand what a "riffbox or jtag" are, can you explain me please? Thanks!!!
Edit: I've googled it to find out what it is... Not for me of course. No other solution I suppose in regards of the many answers I received?...

I won't suggest you to dig out more in this regards by yourself. riffbox and jtag are better left out to the tech guys who will charge money.
any other process will involve a lot more which is not worth the hassle and risk.
