Xperia lost service after flashing to 4.2.2 - Android General

Hey guys, I'm a newbie when it comes to this kind of thing I.e using flashtool however, I've used it in the past with no problems well, no major problems that affect software. Yesterday, I decided to change the software on my Xperia Z1 because it seemed to be hiccuping and just not really performing well but when I managed to unlock the bootloade, root it then flash a 4.2.2 ftf file on it, I've lost mobile service. Could you please help me? Anything is appreciated. Like I said, I'm a beginner so please be as simple as possible.
Cheers guys.
P.s I think I messed something else up yesterday when trying to fix this issue - I changed carrier to US or something like that in phone settings so I know I'm Fd. I'm gonna have to flash a new rom but don't want the same issue occurring.
Thanks guys.

Over in the Development section, there's a thread with instructions on how to fix the GPS problem. Most are finding it works. You might check that before going through the trouble.

Hi, my friend has this phone and she cant receive sms anymore, i told her i could fix it just by rooting it + installing new rom on it, but now im new to these thread so could anyone guide me to which rom is super stable and if i have anything else to flash like a kernel or something. THANKS!!
Ps: this girl is one of a kind and I don't want to let her down so HELP ME PLEASE!!
If this phone is stock, then SMS not working is probably due to apn/provider settings being wrong in Settings.
Brotip: Welcome to the friend zone. She wants you to fix her phone so she can sext/send n00ds to some meathead.

[Q] Xperiat Ray problem. Can someone please help? :(

Hello everyone.
As the title says, I have a problem with my Xperia ray. It's a fantastic phone, but this problem is really starting to bug me. I can't install this app called frontline commando. The store says this version is'nt compatible with your device. As far as I know, Ray can run it, I mean it is capable hardware wise.
Please help, what do?
Additional info: Stock 2.3.4, unrooted, enough space.
Read about editing your build.prop file. Be careful, though, because you can screw up your phone if you edit the wrong parts.
Here's a basic guide for doing that:

Root required
Oh well, I understand. Can't do much without rooting. Anyway, I'll look into this guide when I'm ready to root. Thanks a lot :good:

[Completed] URGENT HELP!!!! Thin Black Vertical Line on my screen!!! Can't get rid of it!!!

Out of a sudden, a black thin vertical line appeared on my phone. Originally, it disappeared but then it appeared again. Restarted my phone, took the battery out blah blah, it did not really work.
I have my phone since late October, so it is not that new , but not too old to start getting problems like that! Never dropped water or anything, it wears a screen protector and is in a case all the time!
Help please! I really cannot afford a new phone at the moment!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You're not going to like this, but it's most likely a hardware issue. But you never gave any information on what device you have. Flashing the stock firmware might help you and if I had your device info I could point you in the right direction to try that.

Hi there!
My device is Doogee Dagger DG550 and it came pre-installed with Android KK 4.4.2 (I have rooted it and installed many things since then).
Is it gonna get worse? Can the stock firmware fix it? ((((((
There is not a lot of information about your device on XDA. But maybe someone in this thread can help you, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712333&page=47
The point is that it is a rather screen problem than a Doogee problem (I think).
So any solutions for getting rid of a black line on screens would help (from Samsung users, HTC users, any users).
It's most likely a hardware issue and stock firmware is not going to help. But I'd a least try flashing the stock firmware. See the link I gave you to see if anyone there knows how to do that on your device. Because I can't find anything on XDA which will tell you how help you. Most likely you are going to have to get the screen replaced.

Sony Xperia LT29i WIFI issue

Hi everyone!
I have installed Android 7.0 on son xperia lt29i . I am facing only one problem. My WIFI is not working. Its not getting turned on.
The phone is out of warranty and cannot be taken to service center . Can anyone help me to troubleshoot WIFI issue?
Thanks in advance.
Provide more info
As per information given, I think you should check ROM is having problem or kernel (if custom installed). I remember flashing a custom kernel with CM12 but after that wifi used to give same problem as yours, I had to install kernel again to remove that bug.
I found this workaround in comments, make sure before trying antything new you have already done research.
Cheers
