Can Z5 be rooted while is still locked? i mean...ever? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I find out now is probably not possible - - What about the future , is there like some tecguy with great skill working on it? I just really want there is a way to root my Z5 and do not need to unlock...
Pardon me for my lousy english...

No u can't but u can unlock it without losing any features by backing up your DRM keys and restoring it back..
What makes these keys lost actually is this in unlocking BL progress - and for unknown reasons - the keys are being deleted so what we do is after unlocking we just push back these keys so we don't get any losses or bad things after the unlocking progress
SS is from my XZ5 with bootloader unlocked and as u can see image processing is still here and working fine, so don't be afraid and just unlock it but don't forget your DRM keys!!

[Solved] Sony Z3 Camera glitch?

After updating my Z3 (D6603) to marshmallow using Flashtool and XperiFirm my camera is behaving quite wierd.
Taking shots with the flash on is perfectly fine, but as soon as i try taking a shot without the flash theres some heavy grain in the shots.
Without flash:

}
With flash:
Covering the camera with my finger:
The bootloader isn't unlocked meaning my drm keys should be still intact.
I flashed the firmware "D6603_Generic GLOBAL_1286-2777_23.5.A.1.291_R4D" that I downloaded from XperiFirm and used Flashtool to create the ftf file.
I didn't include the .ta files into the firmware because I heard it can cause trouble.
Also, it was previously on Lollipop 5.0.2
Thanks!
I figured it out, apparently my phone somehow lost DRM keys whilst updating to newer firmware.
I didn't even think this was possible, I'm looking into restoring DRM functionalities with this:

Rooting of Device / keeping OEM ROM

Hi XDA-Guys,
Simple question:
I want to root my device but keep my OEM ROM installed as I don't feel the need for a different one.
My Sony Xperia Z2 which I rooted 3 years ago without any backups or whatsever, lost the DRM keys of course and I don't want to lose them now on my Sony Xperia Z5 and thats why I'm asking for you help.
Is there any pre-caution I should be aware of? I just want my device rooted., no custom ROM or other stuff ^^
My Device: Sony Xperia Z5 Dual (E6633)
Android: 7.1.1
ROM: Stock OEM with DRM Keys
Regards,
Alex
Unfortunatell without unlock bootloader u can't root device. There is a long procedure. U need to read and do one by one.

Your linked guide is not really helpful. I don't want a custom ROM and the guide does not state anything about saving DRM keys...

If there is something you need, you sound like the perfect guy for it.
I actually need to root this device ? so does anyone know how to?
Unlock bootloader get recovery you'll probably need to build that yourself would be a start.....
Nothing can be done without base software...
Unfortunately
The device is not bootloader unlocked in any way. Of course, it can be opened by dangerous or expensive ways such as boxes and test points. That's why we couldn't start improvements.

Bootloader can be unlocked from developer options.

Possible to remove bootloader unlock warning?

I've been using a Pixel 3a for the past 2+ years but ended up switching to a OnePlus 8T recently. Wasn't really a fan of OOS 11 so I unlocked the bootloader to flash Pixel Experience ROM but now I get this ugly warning screen when rebooting my phone. Nothing particularly new but in the past I did manage to remove the warning screen on other phones.
My question is if someone has figured out a way to get rid of that ugly unlocked bootloader warning screen on the 8T... would be much appreciated!

It will be impossible to completely remove the warning after unlocking a bootloader. The only way I know of to remove part of the warning is by following this guide - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...with-a-self-signed-build-of-los-18-1.4259409/ but this guide is for an advanced user and can cause issues if not done correctly.
Thanks for replying. Not exactly the easy guide I was looking for but I'll read through it and see if can learn something new.
