Hello,
i have a problem with Google Play Service. I know that there are many problems around with it, but i have tested many solutions. Nothing worked.
My problem:
I am on CM13 Nightlys. My current is 30/05 Nightly, and when i update to a newer version (Does not matter if manual or with CM Update App) Google play service says that it has been stopped and the Info comes up every 2 seconds.
I dont know why it is. I think when i update to 02/06 there is no problem. But since 07/06 the problem exists.
Many persons said it is the GApps that does not work anymore, but installing the new one does not work. I also cannot deinstall the Google Play Service because i cant click on it.
And i dont want to do a full reset. I want to keep all my apps and so on.
Does anyone have a solution? Perhaps it is simpler than i thought.

Ever since the recent update I have had nothing but problems with google apps when flashing custom ROMs, specifically Play Store, Hangouts, and Google Now. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Hangouts gives the "can't reach Google at this time" message, Play Store has no connection, and Google Now just flat out doesn't work.
I have tried every ROM and every possible fix I can find and nothing has worked. Is there anybody else that has had this problem or maybe know of a fix that searching around hasn't already given me?
Hi Everyone, have an infuriating problem. A few weeks ago woke up to find Google play services constantly crashing. I mean like every 2 seconds crashing with a notification. I took me for ever to navigate to settings and roll back play services and play store to factory to get it to stop. Later i tired updating to see if was a fluke and same problem. now I'm stuck on the older play services which sucks cause i cant update any Google stuff cause it says i need the latest and just got my invite to Inbox and cant even use it. Has anyone dealt with this? I've cleared the cache for play services and play store but doesn't help either. Would really appreciate any help.
Thanks

Try a different GApps. I've solved that exact problem with Slim GApps beta.
OK. Though I'm running stock. Never had installed gapps to begin with

Anyone else? This is driving me nuts!
This issue has just started happening to me over the past 2-3 days, and I cannot figure out a permanent fix for it! Let me start by saying that my OPO is not rooted, and the only updates to the ROM have been the official ones that have been released (I'm currently on CM version 11.0-XNPH44S). Every time I attempt to open the Play Store, it crashes immediately afterward with the "unfortunately google play store has stopped" error. I looked at the error report and it states : [CRASH] com.android.vending threw java.lang.IllegalArguementException as the subject then the first line of the content reads: "java.lang.illegalarguementexception: view android.widget.listview{41ab7730 VFED.VC. .F...... 0,0-1080,1845 #7f0a02dd app:id/play_drawer_list} is not a drawer".
I know nothing about Java, so I have no idea what this means, and there are 18 lines of equally incomprehensible text after that. I've tried clearing the data, cache, etc. from the app with no change. The only thing that works is when I uninstall the updates, taking the Play Store back to v. 4.9.13. However, in almost all cases it auto-updates immediately back to 5.1.1, so I'm still not able to use it. I read somewhere about disabling the background data usage in settings, but then you're not allowed to download anything from the store.
Is anyone else having the same issue, or can you suggest an idea as to how to fix it without my rooting the device and having to back up the nearly 700 apps I have on it? TYSM in advance!

Hallo ,
I have exactly the same problem and fail to solve,If anyone can help I would be grateful !
Same problem here, any fix yet?
Whenever I try to customise Google now, it turns an error "failed to load settings". I googled and find this problem occuring to many people from past 2 years but working solution is nowhere to find. Really sad. Anyone have any idea?
make sure you have latest google apps installed and give the google play, services, app all the permissions available. after that you should be able to configure it without any issues
Hello,
Since about a couple of weeks ago, the Play Store started getting really slow. Updates get stuck at "download pending", and sometimes they do download. Other app downloads get stuck at 100% downloaded for a long time before installing. I can leave my phone on updating all night and in the morning it is still not done. This happens both on LTE and on Wi-Fi, and I do have very fast Wi-Fi. I am on the OxygenOS Open Beta 10. I did not do any changes to my phone when this started happening.
I have tried all of the following to fix the problem, but it doesn't help:
Rebooting the phone
Uninstalling Play Store updates
Deleting and adding Google Account
Clearing cache
I tried wiping the phone and using OxygenOS 9.0.2 - same problem.
I have clean-wiped the phone, deleting even internal storage, and flashed OxygenOS clean stock, and still it does this. (it also has new problems, like Magisk doesn't offer root authorization anymore even though it installed and working according to Magisk Manager...)
The only way I could get the Play Store to work properly was to use a custom ROM, HAVOC 2, but that ROM has problems with the front camera in some apps.
It almost seems like the Play Store detects OOS and decides to act funky. Has anyone faced this problem, or resolved it? Should I contact Google and see if the problem is their Play Store?
I almost feel like, since I have tried with clean wiping and using stock ROMs, and things that weren't broken before just started breaking for no reason, that there is a problem with the hardware itself. It makes no sense that the problems carry over into stock ROM when I have wiped everything several times.
Uninstall or disable the google app.
That fixed it for me.
Let me know if that works.
