Please help me choose - General Questions and Answers

I'm trying to decide between the HTC 10 and the HTC one m9. This will be my first HTC that I've owned. I know the price is cheaper for the m9, but the price doesn't bother me much. I'm wanting something that will be somewhat easy to root and maybe flash a custom rom every now and then, probably viper rom at that. I'm on att in the USA so I was going to get the unlocked version. I would be very grateful at any help I get.
Thanks everybody............

[Q] New Mobile...but which?

Hi
i saw some similar tread but they are quite different from mine
I want to change my Desire Z where i enjoyed romming experience so much
I'm not asking suggestion of models, even if are welcome, but i'm only wondering if there is a way to check if a particular model will be quite rommed or not!
Asking this because i see that a lot of model hasn't big rom choice and other have a lot.
I wanted to choose an HTC ONE X that is going to be released in April but maybe it'll be better wait for the Galaxy S3 that for sure will have a lot of rom and mod...so...is there a way to understand and check if a model will take the attention of the group who are doing rom or not?
Thanks
I bet the One X will have a lot of roms, normally the more popular it is the more roms it will have!
Hope this helps!

imo best roms are for sgs
Mha, the Sensation XL was sold a lot, as i know, but didn't get much rom (at least checking the Sesation XL rom section of the forum).
I think that aso Miui is not releasing rom for it

Worth getting?

I original have the Nexus but they lock my web2go a month ago so now I am seeking new phone that can be used. From what I understood, Sensation non-tmobile brand and Sensation XE would work. Are they worth it and where can I find a good price on a international Sensation? I am also pondering on N9. Since you can add andorid on it and i am pretty sure tmobile will never block it but no ics support.
Another thing I am consider is that I will most likely receive a Titan II from the ms contest and I can unlock it and use it as 2g phone. Which is pretty tempgin as T2 is a pretty sweet phone.
well, from my personal opinion after being using Sensation XE for more than 2 months and with amount of time i've spent jumping from ROM to ROM, this phone is well-worthy for you to buy, even when i am not a phone-switcher kinda guy but when i want to buy something, i will researched and do comparison with my friends' phone.
as of for now, since HTC One is around the market, i would suggest you get that one
Well, keep in mind it need to work with web2go..... XD Now sure how MUCH will htc one uk version cost lol

[Q] Is going for a HTC One X a good choice right now?

Hello,
I've been waiting to upgrade from my HTC Desire (yes, I know, any phone now will be an upgrade from the Desire). I live in Japan and we usually dont all the good Android phones that makes it to stateside. We do have GS2 and Gs3 is coming, but there is no HTC One X. Despite One X being the flagship HTC phone, carrier KDDI decided to get only HTC One S, and even that they modified the hell out of it.
I only have the choice of GS3 and One X, which I'll be buying an international version, not through a carrier. I had set my mind on the One X, as performance wise they are similar, and and I love the One X build over the GS3 plastic frame. There's no denying that One X is a sexy phone.
Sorry for the irrelevant details.
Right now, I'm really worried about getting the One X because:
1) Multitasking issue
2) Wifi issue
3) Battery overheating
I will not be using 3G data on this so Wifi is very important to me. And I would consider One X removing apps from cache is a big problem. I usually switch back and forth between apps quite often.
So my question is, although there are some workarounds for multitasking issue, given other issues, would you recommend getting this phone right now? Or should I wait out a bit more? Or go for GS3 because these issues are just too serious? Or will there be a custom ROM coming out soon so I can just flash.
Please help me with your opinions.
Thank you.
Go for S3.
I have the Evo LTE (Sprint), and if it is anything like It's one x cousin, I'd go for it. But I am partial to HTC devices.
You won't be disappointed either way I'm sure.

Custom Roms

When can we expect a De-bloated rom for the one mini?
The HTC One Mini is mid-range phone by today's standards and has a 720p screen so a lot of people avoid it thinking they need a quad core and a 1080p screen or an iPhone. There are 10 Best Buys in a 100 mile radius from me and none of them have it in stock. Costco didn't have it in stock either. I guess we'll just have to wait for stores get it in stock for it to get more popular. I'm going to AT&T to pick mine up right now.
I'm a HTC One S and One V user. I'm considering to get a HTC One or HTC One mini, personally I prefer One mini because I like smaller phone but the rom development here is too quiet, no one buy this phone?
You will have to wait a bit for roms......the One mini has launched only in a few countries ATM
stock rom
I have to take my Att mini back to the store does anyone know where I can get a stock rom (ATT htc one mini)so I can flash it and get out of root. And not show tampered .
