i believe that knowing which i should download could help me a lot, thanks a lot

to up date your phone manually and start playing with the phone you should know your build number by ( settings - about phone - build number ) and then go to this thread for ota updates stock roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/huawei-mate-8-stock-firmware-official-t3391727
And for unbrick and root and flashing modified roms
This thread will help you

thanks for the reply,i downloaded the b330 and was able to flash by doing the volume butttons and the power button combo completing the update to 100% but unfortunately it wont boot completely, any idea ???

Do you mean that when you try to boot the phone stuck with no reaction .. if you mean that so go to the second thread and follow the instructions of unbricking it works with me but before that try to make a factory reset by turning off the phone and press the power button + vol up until you get to the stock recovery then choose factory reset

You did not brick your phone!!! 5 Steps to unbrick

Hey there =)
I´ve often read threads and posts by people how did not realy know what they did and after an interrupted flash or a bad rom the phone does not work (propperly or at all) and now they think they really messed up theyr phone...
I know that there are many different phones and roms and ways to so called " soft brick" your phone but if you follow the statet steps you will bring your phone back to life =)
1. DONT WORRY and stay calm
2. Find out how to get into the recovery mode
2.1 If you found out try to whipe data/cash and restart the phone
(many people have bootloops after flashing a rom and dont whipe the data/cash)
3. If there is no way to safe your Firmware (for instance due a interupted flash) search (google) for a stock rom wich fits to your region and phone
(For instance "flashing I9001 stock rom" if you have a sgs+
4. In most of the cases youll find what you are searching for (samsung roms can be found on http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/)
5. If you are really a noob you have to know that the software wich is needed to flash a firmware is odin (in xda forum you will find what youre searching for)
All in all you have to know that there are many people who have or had the same problems like you and you dont have to worry you will make it
Im posting this thread because a few years ago i was total android noob and learned how to flash in the way i stated above
Stay well =)
Only a question. The jig usually help if your bootloader got corrupted ( or something like that) , or no way to save it?

if never had to use the jig and because of this im not very introduced in this topic but a few days ago i read a thread dealing with such issues....a guy who flashed a bad rom couldn get into download mode neither the recovery mode so a dev suggested to use the jig to get fixed....
keep on searching
but as far as i know first of all try to reflash a stock rom one package via odin this ficked all my probles over the last years
fare well my friend
I have a ZTE V9 and i cannot enter not even into the recovery mode.

For sony phones you can use the sony update tool to unbrick your phone,
Or what worked for me when i bricked my device and nothing worked: flashing all the mods you have at once and wipe everything

I flashed TWRP on my new tablet and now when I power it up, it is stuck on the boot screen. I can power it on and off but that is it. I can't get in to recovery and I can't even charge it. My computer does not recognize it now either. What can I do? How do I fix this? Please help!!!
My tablet is from Tablet Express. It is called a Dragon Touch X10. The ID is LMY48B. According to Google, the LMY48B is a Nexus 5 Hammerhead. The TWRP that I flashed was for the Nexus 5 Hammerhead.
Nice one...
Keep it up... its worked for me:good:

Build ID's are for a particular branch of Android, LMY48B = android-5.1.1_r3
For a custom recovery, like TWRP, it needs to be built for your device (or ported from a similar device, with an Allwinner chip)
You can go to the Tablet Express website and more than likely get the tools and firmware you need to fix your tab, link

Noob Help - Bootloop on Sony Xperia Z3

Hello, I am new to xda, so if this is in the wrong place, I apologize. Also, I am new to this rooting stuff, so I do not now much about it.
Anyway, I have a just rooted Xperia Z3 D6653 Android Device and I was in the middle of installing TWRP (which successfully installed) and my phone got stuck in a boot loop. I have searched every where for a fix but nothing is working. I tried to factory reset and wipe the dalviq cache on recovery mode, but it says it always fails. I still try to reboot the phone into the system, but it keeps looping. Could someone please help me out? Any help would be really appreciated.
Also my bootloader is unlocked
And I am running Lollipop.
Thanks

Fist of all: welcome to xda and thanks for actually posting in the right thread
Now, your problem: what did you do exactly?
You downgraded to 4.4.4, rooted, and then installed recovery? Which guide did you follow and what programs did you use?
Generally speaking what you should be able to do:
Turn phone off (long vol+ & power press)
Prepare flashtool by selecting your .ftf of choice (recommendable to use 4.4.4 so you can get it right then) and checking clear data and cache
Then let it prepare everything
Hold down vol- when asked tip and plug your phone in
You'll get a fresh start!
Best of luck!
Just one thing: you first unlocked your phone and then rooted it? If so that'd be a pitty, cause that'd mean you lost DRM keys and functions. Why did you exactly unlock it if I may ask?
Edit: you said you are on LP, therefore I assume you are unrooted, which would show why it didn't work
I advise you to follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3017056
As it shows everything really well

Well I tried what you said, but I cannot find a link. So I just downloaded a random one (its the right version) but in flashtool it just keeps coming up with errors. I followed the steps from these 3 websites
http://howtorootmobile.com/root-sony-xperia-z3-easy-steps/#top_ankor
http://howtorootmobile.com/unlock-bootloader-sony-xperia-z2/
http://howtorootmobile.com/guide-install-twrp-recovery-sony-xperia-z3/
What I was installing TWRP and the last step was to type in fastboot reboot on the command window, that is when my Xperia Z3 got stuck in a boot loop. I dont really know what a ROM is and how to properly flash stuff, so I probably made a mistake while installing TWRP and thats why I get errors trying to wipe files using it.
Also, I did not downgrade before I rooted and unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP. I didnt even know you had to downgrade. Would that be a reason why the bootloop occured?

Hi everyone,

here's the situation :
i'm running Kangvip B180 on NXT-L29 and would like to return to stock in order to upgrade to nougat the official way.
TWRP 3.0.2 installed
Bootloader unlocked
Rooted
could someone explain or point me to a good tutorial so I can go back to stock and then upgrade normally please ?
(I know what I need is explained somewhere, but all those posts about bricked devices and different methods to do something are just messing with my head and I don't want to screw up)
Any help appreciated

Hi guys,
I managed to go back to stock.
For those who are like me, here's what got me sweating but was ok
- fastboot flash stock recovery
- previously add an update.app in the dload folder on external SD (B180)
- rebooted with the 3 buttons method
- let it go through the update
- go to settings in order to get the updates available
- it went from B192, to B320 and finally B560
I didn't format anything till being on B560. Things were ****ing slow and crappy while doing the updates so don't worry
once I was on B560, I went down to the parameters and did a factory reset.
everything seems ok now, and I also solved my problem with the Gear S3 I had (not connecting to the mate)
Hope it helps anyone having these sort of problems

[SM-T365y] [SM-T360] Root - TWRP - Nethunter install (2019.1)

Firstly I'm new here first post... But I spent the last 2 days banging my head on my desk trying to work this out and i finally got it working so for like minded people who will find very little helpful guide on the internet here is how I did it ....
I am going to take the view that people here have the knowledge to flash rom's etc if not there are heaps of guides on how to use odin just consult the oracle known as google on that one ...
Firstly I installed a stock rom (this may not be needed but in my case I had to as i had already fubar'ed mine)
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-active-80-lte-a/firmware/SM-T365/
I unticked autoreboot
once this was done i rebooted straight back into download mode by Holding Vol -. Home, Power
from there I flashed T365.TWRP.2.8.3.0.tar
and booted into recovery mode
once in recovery mode
I flashed
nethunter-manta-lollipop-kalifs-full-2019.3
https://build.nethunter.com/contributors/re4son/
and
Magisk_Kali_Nethunter_15.00.2
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=28005
Rebooted into system
installed busy box to system/binx
run the nethunter app
Updated and upgraded
---- Job Done fully updated and upgraded working version of nethunter on the SM-T365y Galaxy Active tab 8.0 LTE
This might not be the cleanest or most streamline way of doing this im not sure but its what worked for me.... I hope it helps

Wel, you should be able to flash the ROM like Shaminalnz explained it.. Didn't try it myself though.. I just rooted my device (SM-T365), to gain write access to SD card for apps. Where do you get stuck then?
Hello Community,
Is there anyone with a custom ROM for the Samsung Active Tab T365 ? I have been searching for days without success :-(
Or does anyone have a solution for updating android from 5.1 to 8 to run the BMW Motorrad Connected App (Requires Android
8.0 and up). Any solution, ...any advice would be so much appreciated.
Cheers

I was trying to root my phone but i failed, doing so many wrong steps, now my samsung a7 is bricked, i cant charge it and i cant power it on, i also tried connecting it to a pc but the pc cant recognize it, any advice please to fix this? I really dont know what should i do now, thank you so much guys.
Can you talk us through the steps you did.
Is usb debugging enabled?
You may be able to use the samsung flashing software to recover but if you missed 1 or maybe 2 steps and have now wiped the device fully then you need to RMA. No os then no proof of your actions for a warranty claim to be rejected
enter download mode and flash firmware from Odin3

Im really sorry but i was actually not hard bricked, i thought i was hard bricked and i eventually got it turned on, so here is the whole story, i was about to root my phone and i watched a tutorial on how to but for some reason i trusted myself and didnt watch the video so i got into this situation, i enable USB debugging and OEM unlock( it deletes all of my files like a factory reset) i didnt know that i have to paste the magisk and the magisk apk to my phone and i flashed the bootloader thing from the tutorial i watched and then after that i decided to watch the tutorial and to my surprise the tutorial paste the magisk, so i panicked, i dont know what to do and i thought i was stucked at the downloading process so i decided to search more while panicking and i found that tenoshare Reiboot and Ult has this feature that will exit you to the downloading and now i tried them both but it failed, and i panicked more because now my phone just wont stop bootlooping so i just decided to drain its battery because its built in, i also tried flashing twrp but it cause me more panicking because it kind of glitches more so good thing i tried to go to downloading again by connecting to a pc and it worked, and the good thing is that the file i downloaded has a recovery flashable thing so i flashed it again, i escaped the teamwin bootloop and now i tried researching more causing me to figure it and i think i need to download the firmware again, but here is my biggest problem, i dont know the original place of the phone(i only know the country because its like a phone given only to me) i also dont know what is the original patch security of my phone( idk if its safe to just download the latest of the firmware) thank you for any advice

All you need is the correct firmware for your specific model number for your specific region/carrier and the firmware must have a binary that is equal to or higher than the binary of your currently installed firmware. The binary is indicated by the 5th character from the right in the firmware build number. Find that character in the build number of your currently installed firmware and compare it to the same character in the build number of the firmware that you want to flash. If the binary of the firmware that you want to flash is equal to or higher than the binary of your currently installed firmware then you can safely flash it, if the binary is lower than the binary of your currently installed firmware, you will not be able to flash the firmware that has a lower binary.
